Hope you feel better soon and thank you for taking the time from your 'quiet' vacation to do a live review. As we'll sail on her in Nov. (first since 2017) and there have been somewhat negative comments as to her 'shape'...LOL....it's nice to hear she's still in pretty good condition for her age.

Hi fellow Londoner...(Canada..lol). There are many current threads/pages on this topic...search for 'drink package'. If it helps, it seems the discount is offered on only certain cruises, so what one person receives another doesn't. I'm waiting for a discount, other than Elite +, myself...❓.

Your posts have been so positive....glad you enjoyed your cruise and your return to X. Variety is the spice....they tell me...so changing it up now and again gives one a new (?) perspective. BTW...yes...7 is toooo short a time when enjoying oneself.

We always fly AC and book as soon as available, usually around 10-11 mos. prior. Last year we did have the flight/plane/time changed. Booked Nov. 2024 cruise flight approx. Jan. '24, so waiting for a change in about a months time..LOL....they seem to adjust their schedule around the 6 mos. point.

Perhaps you misunderstood when I said "You must have felt an improvement having 17 small ship cruises.". I meant you sailed many times with X which has more cruisers than the smaller ships, so you must have felt an improvement with less people around you. We don't think it would be lonely necessarily (not a good choice of words). Just that we've only sailed on busy ships so we would definitely notice the difference (which could be a good thing). Enjoy your cruise. We're on her for the 4th time this Nov....last time in 2017. Others are reporting her in pretty good shape.

We've sailed many times on S class (not E yet) and considering a 'smaller' cruise ship. When you switched from X did you find it a somewhat 'less' experience? So used to the crowds DH thinks it may be 'lonely'..lol. You must have felt an improvement having 17 small ship cruises.

It's now become 'out of OUR control'.....The line should NOT require their staff to report what is freely given by the guest to THEM personally. We are a little extra generous with our room steward and we'd like to think it's helping them and their family specifically. What a burden to put on their staff..having to choose to tell or not tell.

Please...let us know.

Sorry....should be more careful.....Must have the cabin # wrong.....we were deck 12, Equinox, starboard side....no noise and I'm a light sleeper.

We were in #2148 Equinox. No noise at all from above, below, beside. If it were me, I wouldn't change and lose the perks.

You may have something there in regard to 'tracking'. Not us specifically but on the whole. I do think there is dynamic/on demand pricing. I have checked these prices on another browser and incognito mode with same pricing showing. Flash sales should be across the board not to one particular cruise, even with low volume purchases which will stimulate sales....IMO.

I see your cruise date is Nov. on the Equinox. Ours is also Nov. but hasn't changed in months. Wish 35% off would come up for me.

As others have said....I'm very sorry for your loss and expectation of a lovely vacation together. With all the angst you're going through now, why add to it? I would feel apprehensive well before check in. Your questions should be answered by Celebrity before you sail for your own peace of mind. The call centre might not be able to definitively provide you with the correct information. Perhaps this phone number might be more direct for you if you decide to inform X prior to sailing....... 305-614-1343......or at least to answer your questions so that you're properly informed. Hope all goes well for you.

Up to you...since the gratuity is spread among 'other' staff, we give a little more to our room attendant, specialty restaurant servers if service warrants, and room service. From experience it's not expected but truly appreciated.

Reading through the thread there are comments on other drink pkgs which is what I posted on.

Our drink package has always shown $93.43 Cad, with 20% Elite + discount. But your example shows 20% off pre cruise without captains club savings. So being E+ means nothing...the 20% is across the board. Your first example of 35% off $75.85 hasn't shown on our cruise. As you say, it's sales on each particular cruise which is driving the discount. At some point our Nov. cruise may be discounted and I'll purchase then. Right now, it's pay as we go.
