My apologies - it appears the information I posted above is out of date. See my new post re Plus/Premium drinks value limits.

Yes we just got the email from RC. 100% refund and 50% FCC. Not sure what we will do yet, as we are on the next cruise too.
Seeing you are in Perth, it certainly doesn’t compensate for the airfares I guess.

Rumour has it we may be taking a harbour cruise for the 5 days.
There are quotes that next cruise cancelled unfortunately.

When did you cancel? If you canceled more than 5 days before the start of the cruise it should get credited to the original source of payment pretty quickly (on my transactions usually within 24 hours) If canceled within 5 days of the cruise start (when the financials gets transferred to the shipboard system) or on board, the credit is in the form of refundable OBC on board the ship and is part of your ship board account.
Cancelled today, sailing early April. Thanks for your prompt answer.

Depends what time you go to bed. Unfortunately, you are on the side with the stage, I stayed on the other side last year and didn't hear a thing.
We are not night owls unfortunately! Won’t affect husband as he has hearing difficulties.

Another question.
i had a specialty dining reservation and I have just cancelled this reservation. Any idea how long the payment takes to go back onto my credit card?
Thanks again

Hi all,
Anyone been in E728 on Royal recently? Any noise from the Vista Lounge. Unfortunately I am a light sleeper.
Thanks

The bourbon options on the app last month on Coral:
Thanks Geoff. As long as I can get a wine and bubbles, he can have the cheapest bourbon occasionally 🤣

I did a reality check based on what we actually drink - one cocktail before dinner, wine with dinner, a digestiv or liqueur after dinner, plus coffees and bottled water - and internet and it works out marginally cheaper to get the Plus package and then buy wines by the bottle at the 25% package discount.
We get 5 drinks with Royal Caribbean and it is more than enough and usually add water too. Really don’t want more with the Plus package. Just need the internet.

Actually the $12 limit was the old USD limit. The original Australian limit was $16.
Yes, we got $25pp OBC to cover that app delivery charge. We'll try to just use one device for that - we don't order much on the app (unless we're stuck in our cabin with Covid) anyway as we prefer to order drinks from waiters at the various bars, and tend not to order food that way either.
Alfredos on Majestic did actually have nice pizza. On Coral it's not worth paying for plus you can get slices up by the pool for free.
Yes we will only get one device. After gettingCovid again on Majestic, hopefully we will avoid on Royal. 🤞

Hi Cheryle,
You can buy as many nasty by-the-glass "plus" wines as you like, well 15 per day.
Yes, you miss on the included Alfredos, free app delivery, fat desserts, but plus drinks are plus drinks - your cap increased when the package price increased.
Thanks Geoff,
When I was informed it was $12 per day, I couldn’t believe I would have to pay an extra $2 per drink for some horrible cask wine. We definitely won’t drink 15….maybe 4 or 5.,I think I can get coffees and water too? Am I correct? I also think DH can get a bourbon and coke as well? Not sure what we will do with our mini bar set up, probably take onto our next leg of our holiday.I will pay for 1 with the delivery app.Thankfully you informed me some months ago that we have received some extra OBC to cover. Alfredo’s we will pay if we need a change.

The person on social media doesn't know what they are talking about! 😡
So DON'T PANIC! 😊
The drinks limit increased to AU$22 / US$15 (depending on where you are cruising) for all versions of the Plus fare. I've done cruises booked with earlier versions of the Plus fare and had access to the whole Plus drinks list, including the crappy wines. But, yes, you only get a drinks package and internet package not all the other rubbish.
Incidentally it's "strange" how the drinks prices also increased, to the point of ridiculousness in the case of some of those wines, when they announced that change. 🙄
I knew you would know OzkiwiJJ. Thank you. I was absolutely shocked on Majestic with the quality and prices of the rubbish wines. We did in the end find a
Pinot Grigio that we like by the bottle but we didn’t have a package. The person on Fb said they got the information from Princess. I do intend to find something in the package price that is drinkable. This is our first time ever with a package and really only got it because I need internet and we now get no free minutes. Thanks again. I can tell this cruise will be a nightmare for Guest Services with all the different Plus packages.Once again, thank you!

Hi all,
Sorry to ask this question again, as I know it has been done over and over
We have the old Princess Plus package purchased December 2022. On my cruise summary it says PLUS BEVERAGE PACKAGE -50.Someone on social media says this only entitles me for drinks up to $12. $12 doesn’t even buy the worst wine that was available on our recent Majestic Princess cruise. Can anyone clarify if this price is correct? If so, I will talk to the Cruise Planner soon. As this cruise is 21 nights, if it is $12 In might need to upgrade prior to boarding.
i do understand my package only includes drinks and wifi and not all the extras.
Any assistance appreciated

Does anyone have updates on the hotels they stayed at. Just beginning my search so thank you for the tips regarding making sure the hotel is in close proximity to MRT locations.
Swissotel Singapore is above a MRT. An amazing hotel, but a bit expensive these days. You can walk underground for a long way and avoid the heat too! There are many hotels I am sure that are close to MRT’s but this one is our favourite. This time was are staying at Sofitel Sentosa for a different look at Singapore.

That is the carrot Bob. The usual way to get a cheap balcony via a casino offer is via high turnover in the casino.
What’s strange with me, is we rarely play the Casino on any ship and if so maybe $10. I gave RKMW the details when I first got the offer, but it didn’t work for him, but I now get regularly. They are extremely attractive.Basically a free cruise, OBC, Casino credit and drinks! Just wish I could try one.

Yes Cheryle very strange especially when you haven’t been on a Carnival ship
maybe when you get the offer ring Carnival and see if you can upgrade to a balcony and pay the extra if they agree
I tried even for an oceanview, no luck, just inside.

I agree they don’t care if your platinum which I am and I don’t get those offers but I don’t spend much money either or play the pokies, one good thing we get $25 loyalty bonus every cruise
Pre covid on Princess we used to get a good loyalty bonus but that has stopped now
Bob, I am still getting those Casino offers which we have spoken about before. Very cheap inside cabins with lots of benefits I.e. OBC as much as the cruise basically and drinks. Never been on Carnival and definitely not a Casino user…very strange.
-
I have been getting for a few months some amazing Casino deals from Carnival. Unfortunately only inside cabins (which we cannot do). Considering I have never been on Carnival I am surprised by the offers, just wishing they would offer at least an outside!

I’m on this cruise also,we where on about 11:00 .
Lovely ship very modern and classy.
The food in the buffet is a touch above Royal Caribbean but that’s not hard to do.
Chilli, the food in the buffet will be good on Celebrity. Anything is better than the Windjammer.I will be interested in your comparison seeing you are now Elite with Celebrity!

On Majestic last week, we were on board by just after 11. Cabins were not available till around 1. I did notice that one of the bars were holding small hand luggage so that you didn’t have to have it with you whilst walking around. Unfortunately I didn’t read that till the evening when we had lugged our wine, iPads and tablets around till our cabin was ready😩. I might add Princess did embarking and disembarking extremely well on that cruise.

That would rule out bringing a couple of ships through the Suez Canal.
Wish we could get a Radiance class ship, but Voyager will be ok. Definitely no to Anthem for me. Wait and see I guess!
Princess appears to have pulled a swifty with Plus/Premier drinks value limits
in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers

I also got this email today so with no mention of drink on the old plus package. in February 2024 the horrible de bortelli SSB was $14 a glass.
