  1. That's the ship where I had the cheese plate!
  2. Last time I checked it was $6 a bottle. That was 2022
  3. Do you eat cheese? Le Bistro offers a gorgeous cheese plate for dessert. I don't eat meat and Cagney's has always been very helpful subbing extra sides. Bon voyage and bon Appetit!
  4. Joy suites are a different animal and their perks have changed over time. From what I understand the suites in the Jewel class still have the usual perks, minus the enclave.
  5. If you are both platinum you get two free bags of laundry.Just write your name, cabin and PLATINUM on the ticket. You can get a lot in those Haven bags. They press laundry tags into the clothing to keep them organized. They come back folded nicely in a wicker basket.
  6. Guests may disembark at any of the stops. Currently in Key West, the stops with loading/unloading privileges are 1,2,3,6,7,8,9 and 10.
  7. The bags in the haven are fabric and easy to stuff with a lot of clothes. As noted, the paper ones can split open. If you roll your items tightly you can fit a lot more in the paper bag and then use duct tape to seal the bag.
  8. They offer a laundry bag special, usually about half way through, although often it is always available.
  9. The sparkling wine does not work for an exchange because the value is so low. We just give ours to the room steward or stick it in the fridge and get something we want.
  10. Some feel the answer, "You are number 6" was meant to be "You are, number 6"
  11. Do those suites get special breakfast and lunch like on other non-Haven ships?
  12. Considering this stateroom 18124 on Bliss. We have always had the one on deck 17 which has the automatic door leading into the lounges and the rest of deck 17. On deck 18 there are doors where you scan your card, but I don't know if they are automatic, are they easy to open and do they allow easy entry with the Scootaround. It's pretty much the same set up on Joy. Would appreciate some first hand knowledge! Thanks!
  13. If you need your clothes washed or dry cleaned during your cruise, laundry services are available on all Norwegian ships. Your clothes will be returned the next day, or the same day by special request. Prices vary from garment to garment but keep an eye out, discounts are available.
  14. Our Star our brunch was an Indian themed buffet. Many of the servers were traditional costumes. They also had music. I think it was $10.
  15. We had three dinners at Le Bistro and, as a vegetarian, I was tired of the Napoleon de Legumes. It's good but not in the mood for the third. So I ordered the pizza from the kids menu and I loved it. Just a plain delicious cheese pizza! It really hit the spot.
  16. We always buy NCL's platinum plan that includes cancel for any reason. Never had to use any part of it until last cruise. My spouse had a backache that just wouldn't quit and he was out of ibuprofen. Decided to visit the medical center. He explained that he gets this a lot and iburofen works but we're out. They gave him an injection and some ibuprofen tabs. Success. i figured that since it was a chronic condition the insurance would not cover it. Wasn't even going to bother to get the forms from the medical center, but they dropped them off at our cabin. I figured there would be lots of hoops, but no! I uploaded the bill from the medical center, explained we had medicare so they would not cover out of the country. Two days later we got the approval email and very clear instructions on how to get the payment: they would send a check, issue an e-check, or PayPal. Chose PayPal and it was instant! No fees no nothing! YMMV with a larger claim.
  17. I am vegetarian, which can be a challenge. So I really appreciate the Cauliflower Steak ras el hanout in Oceal Blue. The napoleon de legumes in Le Bistro is another favorite!
  18. We told our butler that we really liked bar mix, M&Ms, cheese and crackers, BLTs and PBJs and that any would be greatly appreciated. He served us a nice rotating mix. On embarkation there were already some snack bowls covered with plastic wrap as I had mentioned this to the pre-cruise concierge. I also discovered that in the Observation Lounge there is an assortment of snacks in a section called build-your-own-trail mix. That was a lot of fun. Have a great cruise!
  19. They go over the storage in the main living room here.
  20. If you get a letter from your doctors to that effect and submit it to NCL they will waive the requirement. We did this when my spouse was on medication that meant he could have no alcohol.
  21. Only for guests who purchase treatments.
  22. We were on that cruise! A bit disappointed when we got the email but the reality was just fine. Lots of specialty restaurants! And Cagney's made a lovely breakfast and lunch locale.
