Any NCL ships i have found sea days the man in restaurants are open.also the Buffet and O’Shehans. Port days only buffet and O’Shehans. for breakfast open sea days and port days.

Wow on the shorts not being allowed at ocean Blue. Especially for teenager. We have certainly gone to cagney’s in shorts. Thought it was just LeBistro that had that rule. dis you guys eat at Maya Key? We went once and the meal was awesome.

We bring in pill divider. Our meds are shipped to us in way too big of bottles and we take a lot of medicine. It would take a small piece of luggage for all those bottles. Also put our daily supplements in a pill divider. Always in our carry on. 27 cruises and never an issue.

The texting question has been answered many times (above) but you mention you have 150 internet minutes. Most of the free at sea is 150 mins for first two people. My husband does not use any minutes so i had his minutes applied to my phone. Internet guy can do that. Also if you do any emails. While logged out type up your email, log in to send the email.

Recently on Breakaway with daughter and 21 year old granddaughter . We all love Starbucks. My daughter wanted to get the Starbucks package but then we figured how much you would have to drink a day to pay for it , just made more sense to pay as you go. We were able to use our preloaded Starbucks app.

I found a 2 week cruise out of Galveston for Jan 2025. Does anyone know if you still just get the one bag laundry per person for platinum. Also is the dining package the same? we did a 9 day before and it was way too long so not sure about 2 weeks but it has 9 ports. I would guess if it were a back to back the perks would be double but this is a straight up 2 week cruise.

I was on breakaway in January . It was not open for lunch for our sailing. When I spoke with someone how quickly the line got long I went to get it line at 4:00 on for a 5:00 opening time. Already had people in line at 4:00. We had to watch for people trying to get in line not realizing we already had a long line going. it was very good just not sure I would stand in line for an hour again. Way too much food for me and I didn’t order from every group. My favorite was the combination fried rice.

Depending on the port you will have to be ready to head to the entry way. Only every now and then is there a designated sitting area. We have sailed out of New Orleans more times than i can count and was told by 3 different employees no area for platinum. Well didnt i see a large group gathered behind a rope and ask…..yes, platinum. You will love the free one bag of laundry. Be sure to roll your clothes tight for fitting into the bag. I take a picture just in event i am missing something (which has never happened) clothes comes back better than i do my own laundry. You can throw your roommates clothes in if need be. yes, rooms are can board with you.

Now this is really odd. We very recently went on a cruise. My granddaughter had broken up with boyfriend and my daughter went instead. We were told a name change can be made up until 3 days before cruise. No cancel and rebook- just a name change. No fee involved.

Mine will not work unless i put my phone on Wi-Fi . In usually keep my phone on data cause it is faster. But i switch it to Wi-Fi and bam it works.

Not until march 3,2024 so i have a long time to watch my number to go down…..but the thrill is real

I still have the NCL app on phone from last cruise. Now when my next cruise showed up on the app i get a real kick out of watching the days go by for this cruise. Every night at 1:01 (my time… which is 12:01 eastern time) i click on my app and watch the day change. Sorta silly but it is the little things. Also sometimes it is fun to click on the menu for a restaurant just to see if i might change my mind about what i might order. Yeah too much time on my hands.

From my experience you have to do the full check in. you can use a photo from your photo library. If you wear glasses make certain you take them off for your photo. I wasted 30 mins trying to use a picture with glasses on (didn’t read the small print) finally saw that and used my iPad (what I was using to check in) and took one with no make up, hair going every which way and in my PJ .

Daughter and granddaughter ate at wasabi (sushi place) on breakaway . It was covered with dinning package. They were hallowed 4 items. your best bet is to always ask what is covered if they don’t automatically tell you. you can go the NCL app (download ahead and it keeps you updated o things) and make your dining reservations 125 days ahead of cruise. Sushi restaurant on breakaway did not take reservation.

Keep phone in air plain mode always. We were able to send text home using the ncl app. Not always the case though. Also for Verizon Mexico was no charge cause it is covered in our plan.

The water from bathroom sink gets hot hot hot. no microwaves to be seen anywhere

It has been a few years but we sailed with 3 grandkids. Jewel is fairly simple compare to some of the other ships. Perfect for Alaska as they dont do the kid friendly high energy ships in Alaska. It has a basketball court and golf and of coarse a pool but that about does it. Two of our grandkids was happy just watching the world go by from an awesome view. The older one wanted to be getting into trouble.

You can easily cancel once on board. I would make a call to confirm your count, you should have gotten an amenity email and it would say exactly what you got. This is a separate email from your cruise conformation.

The app only shows one excursion for my march 2024 cruise . If I go to NCL and check excursions for different ports I find plenty.

No fee you have up until about 3 days before cruise to change the name. we recently went thru this. We didn’t wait until last minute to do the change once we knew the original person wasn’t going.

We had 3 of us and I made reservations for dining room for the nights we knew we wanted to eat there. The lady at the check in counter said it wasn’t necessary for small groups.. Yet one evening the line became very long and at one point the lady at the check in counter was directing the remainder of the line to the other dining room (yet another line) so right at opening time it became full. Glad we had reservations.

I have seen kids the age of yours (and younger) eating in dinning room without their parents. Another option there.
