Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I'm not sure posting on an open forum with presumably your names as the account name is the smartest thing. NCL staff read these. You might find your luggage getting extra attention.
  2. Yes, that was it. I would never have found that in a million years so thanks for the steer.
  3. Thanks Keith. I don’t see a signature at all…unless I’m being really dense which is always a possibility !!
  4. I've just hit the platinum level and have a question about boarding. Previously I paid for Priority Boarding and the order was 1. people who needed extra assistance, 2. higher latitude levels, 3. priority boarding, 4. group 1 etc. Does Platinum get me into the second group or is it just even higher levels ? Also, if I am sharing a cabin with someone who isn't platinum, can they board with me or do I have to abandon them in the waiting area ? Also, with the two extra speciality dining options, do I just make a reservation and then say that I want to use my Platinum reward ? Thanks for any guidance.
  5. This is a shame. I loved my handheld fan, displayed here at the outside Mojito bar on the Bliss this month. It was stinking hot and I work in the arctic so was struggling! But it is pretty much a 'their ship, their rules' kind of thing. I'll leave it at home from now on.
  6. I think this is great but it is a great shame that they don't include your brothers and sisters who stood next to you on operations. I was a Captain in both the British and Canadian infantry and can't help but feel a bit left out by all of this.
  7. Having no power outlet by the beds is such a poor design. I have a CPAP machine as do many other people by the questions about distilled water. I bring a 25' extension cord that I run around the room otherwise I'd be plugging and unplugging a shorter extension every night and risking tripping on it in the middle of the night.
  8. Why do you need the wire cage if you have a stopper ?
  9. As for quiet - that depends entirely on your neighbours.
  10. The regular balconies are small. You get two chairs and a small side table. The chairs have to face almost lengthways so you can't face them to the sea and fit your legs. But they are still good places to sit. I was in 12200 for one cruise and then, for the next cruise went for a large balcony room which did indeed have a larger balcony with the 2 chairs but this time with a table that you could eat at as well as 2 loungers. It was on deck 9 but does jut out so the people above can see you if you stand at the rail and you can see down onto the balconies on deck 8 (which are even larger). But if you sit at the back of the deck then you can't be seen. These cabins are at the front of the ship.
  11. Can anyone who has does a back to back recently help me with a few questions: a. do you need to covid test between cruises. If so, I assume it is done on board. Is there a cost ? b. Do you need to disembark and then re-check in to get a new cabin card or, if you are staying in the same cabin, do you get a card for both cruises at the start of the first one. c. If the first cruise bumps you up a latitudes category does that reflect in time for the second cruise ?
  12. I'm on the Getaway right now on the transatlantic. We're sailing with about 760 passengers out of a category sounds 4,000. I understand they have a full compliment of staff and they are taking the opportunity to run some extra training for them. The next cruise is supposed to be around 3,800 passengers and then it settles a little bit. I have found the crew to be fully staffed and excellent.
  13. I don’t see that. https://www.ncl.com/fr/en/sail-safe
  14. Lots of pharmacies will do them while you wait. I used Lloyds. But you have to rebook.
