  1. Anthem is a great ship, she is far ahead of where Quantum was when she was launched, things are ready to go and the staff are relaxed and everything on these 2 days is going smoothly. It will be interesting to see how things pan out tomorrow as the first paying guests arrive.:D

Fantastic - we have this show booked and are really looking forward to it. Were you on the 2 day cruise? If so what were your impressions of anthem?
  2. So today Michael Bayley announces it will be called The Royal Suite Program and that it will be launched soon, and that it will feature new amenities and benefits to enhance the suite experience. But we still do not know when and what, so we continue to wait for more infomation.

It was certainly a subject of question during the "Common Ground" meeting with MB and his senior team on The Anthem today. The question was answered like a politician .......revealing nothing.

Although in fairness to the team they seemed dedicated on many ongoing improvemnts in many areas, in the mean time many on these pages will continue the guesswork.

  3. We have had great experiences on various ships, of course the quality of Food and the paired wine are very important. Although we feel that the personalities of the service team also contribute to the enjoyment of the evening.

I feel as if the Chef aspect is to be removed that will lessen the whole experience, and is less likely to be worth the higher premium paid.

  4. I do not know if this has been discussed, please excuse me if I missed it.

But I noted that the Chefs Table is now being Listed as Prime Table on some of the webpages. Does this mean the dedicated Chef is no more

Has anyone experienced this lately, as I was going to book, but will reconsider if the offering has been downgraded

  5. Err how exactly was I getting "Snippy", I commented to another person in the UK, and clarified the translation of the "Stiched Up" comment to friends overseas that I acknowledge might not have got the meant meaning of the phrase.

I now find myself in a position where I have to assume that "Snippy" means being picky at another, because in the UK I would be looking for a pair of scissors to get snippy with.

See it works both ways but I was the one that offered up an explanation of the term, and whilst I am on the subject.....................

The language that we all use on the pages is called English, therefore an Englishman's use of it will always be the correct version, although we do have to accept that many other countries do try their best to mess the beautiful language up. Mind you we also do that in different parts of the UK, the Queens English is not what it used to be.:) Although I have rarely heard of the need to translate English in English.

And now I also have to explain before I get accused of being "Snippy" or "Stiching Someone Up" that the above statement was said in JEST, because some people don't always get the English sense of humour. :D

JEST is another English word that some may need to look up in the English Dictionary

Now where are my flameproof speedos :eek:

those of us Across the Pond would not necessarily have known that. no need to get snippy due to a translation error. to us, stitches are what happens when you fall off your bike and split your skull open.

  6. Would you prefer it to be posted in Welsh, because I understand it clearly

However for our overseas friends, the term "Stitched Up" is a commonly used phrase in the UK for "unfairly dealt with "

And if you think this is a rude response remember "You started it"

:confused::confused: Does anyone know what this post is about in English as I haven`t got a clue. :)
  7. So pleased to know you want to keep an eye on your Dogs ( Mans best friend ) oh and of course no forgetting your mother.

What happened to the fourth dog in your signature ?

    .............................

P.S. Yes I know that this is vacation, and many of you like to lock away the electronics and go off the grid for the week. I am not one of those people! LOL! We have three elderly dogs, one of whom is fighting a serious long term illness, along with an elderly Mother who we need to check on.

  8. As you and other thought, yes it is a Giraffe.

However as others also pointed out the scaffolding had nothing to do with the actual animal, but being in the know I thought the scaffolding was an indicator to what it was going to be and that is why I started the thread for some fun.

( people get way to boring and uptight at times, a laugh is always fun )

The clue was in the "are they having a laugh" comment, as in "are they having a giraffe"

Actually what is there is different from an original plan, I wonder why it changed ?

Based solely on the shape of the scaffolding, my guess is a giraffe:)
