  1. No I did not create anything, but I got the same news from 2 different people one is Diamond plus who used the term "high loyalty" and the other a Pinnacle who said it was offered to them. But as I have no further details yet, did not want to specify who was getting what perk. Although I know there is great interest on here about possible new perks, and this seems to be one that is being offered now :D

high loyalty members? Wonder if that is a new program, or whether OP created that description.
  2. Ohh trust me, when new information is available, there will be plenty of new posts. in fact there will be plenty of new threads, some joyful others complaining. Also lots of opinions from those that do actually do book suites and will be effected, as well as from those that are never likely to book a suite, no matter what ( if any ) extra benefits are added

The main thing is that we should all understand exactly what it is that suits our personal budget and needs BEFORE we book. I fail to understand why there are so many posts about "What Benefits will I get with my Suite" that state which ship has already been booked.

A booking on a ship is similar to that on a plane, Pay more and you get to turn left to your bigger space and better facilities, but First Class on a Long Haul flight will not be the same as First Class on a Short Flight.

Understand what you have booked and paid for, and expect value for money. It does amaze me that people have different expectations on a ship, than they do on the plane that takes them to that ship. Some people fail to appreciate that a 7 hour flight can cost the same as a 7 day cruise.

I would like to see Suite Guests get a many benefits as possible and those benefits should reflect the amount they have paid for their trip. I personally will stick to my regular balcony booking, or JS for a special occassion, as i consider the amount of time we spend in a cabin to be limited.

    Agree

This being the 300th. post on the thread, I am just trying to keep it on the front pages so hopefully someone will see and post when new information made available......

    Thanks

  3. I actually feel for the winner, who must feel very honoured to have won the prize. She will no doubt get a lot of flack from those that consider the process weird. However she entered a competition and won, good luck to her. The Godmother of a ship makes little difference to me, I am just as fazed by this as I was when Fiona was named as Godmother.

I am sure this person will do a great job and be a lot more courteous about her appointment than another so called "Famous Actress" godmother was when we met.

So to the winner I say "Well done, be proud and sell lots of cruises on your ship, I am sure you are a worthy winner". :)

Yay! Travel agent as godmother for the ship.
  4. I really don't understand, why you would ask "Is cats as bad as everyone says it is", surely the answer is in the question. Those that think it is not to their taste will say so, others that like it will say so. Therefore if you have read more about it being bad, then the majority of those that have written that obviously think that is the case.

I think that cats is a good production of that show, the quality of the singers and dancers is very good, unfortunately I also think that Cats is the wrong show for a ship. as in my opinion it goes for too long without changes to scenery or costume, but that is just my opinion.

Which Broadway shows will be on Harmony, Oasis, and Allure in 2016? Will it be Oasis - Cats, Allure - Mama Mia, Harmony - Chicago? Is Cats as bad as everyone says it is?
  5. I see you work for another cruise Line, it will be interesting to see how you enjoy The Anthem, and how you think it compares to the company you work for.

I hope you enjoy your short sailing, please look after the ship ( and leave some stock on the bars ) as we board for 10 days on the day you get off :)

  6. Trust me being a Pinnacle member does NOT enable us to get any info on major subjects that has not been announced to the public.

Sure some of us have been around long enough to get the skill that makes us think we can read between the lines, but in truth we do not know more than others.

Over the years I have on occassions "heard stuff" that comes true, but I would never repeat gossip because I know how that can be received and repeated on these pages

................... I can't imagine just because someone is a Pinnacle member that they'd be privy to this.
  7. Rational Reason.......The Contractors working on the changes are going to use that cabin block

Hi all, I am on the Quantum of the Seas from Dubai to Singapore in May and have posted on that thread as well.

The other day I got an e-mail from RCI saying that my cabin had been changed from deck 13 stbd side to deck 13 pt side, same size and grade, no explanation, no apology. The cabin had been booked nearly a year ago. Following telephone calls and an e-mail enquiry, I received an e-mail back from RCI saying that ' because of the casino expansion my original cabin would be unavailable'! Can anybody think of a rational reason why work on the Casino on decks 3 and 4 could make a cabin on deck 13 'unavailable,?

  8. A lady complaining that she did not understand why she had to embark on deck 4 when her cabin was on deck 10.

Or the other one that did not like Jamies Italian, because the food was to Italian for her taste.

Or the couple that did not want to go to The Windjammer because they only serve food there, and they did not eat food.

Or the Lady that did not want the ship to cruise to close to land near Key West, because there were too many Gay people there.

    I could go on ................

  9. Err Mine, as post 2 :D

I cant recall ever reading a POSITIVE wedding on the ship experience. :o

Sorry all this happened on your special day.

I really feel for you if you day was not as you wanted. The flip side is that our wedding on a ship was amazing, because we did not do a boarding day wedding, but mid cruise. Less panic and more time to ensure things were organised. I appreciate that this meant that non sailing guests could not attend, but luckily for us all 46 people did cruise with us.

I would agree with you that a first day wedding option is not the best way to go, but would recommend a mid cruise island or shipboard celebration. :)

    .

  10. Nothing in life is free, all inclusive in the price Yes, but not free. All current sailings sold to Balcony or above in the UK included a "Free Drinks Package", but the price is much higher than similar sailings without the included free items. So I expect if the Suites are to included such extras, it is a good way of Royal ensuring they achieve a maximum spend per head.

The down side of this is that D members and above with an inclusive package are being asked to pay for some of the benefits they previously enjoyed as a loyalty perk

I emailed our travel agent and he said "I can't say for sure but my sources tell me the suites are now going to be a more all-inclusive package and offer extra perks like free parking. Don't hold me to any of that info. but that's all I got. "

it's not much but it is something

  12. We were gifted this spa treatment on our honeymoon cruise, and all I can say is that it was a complete waste of time and money. We have a multi headed shower unit at home in our bathroom that had more pressure than that found on the ship, and the mud thing is really not that soothing or calming. Whilst grateful for the gift, I would not recommend this overpriced service to anyone
