  1. How can it be a cut, if there was actually no French Toast, then the chances are that the person that wanted it would actually eat something else. That something else would also cost money, therefore no cost cutting involved.

So Davy Jones please open your locker and look outside the box :D

I don't see the exaggeration. It was worded as a question and it would be a cut if it had been elimated.
  2. The DJ in the Bionic bar is volume restricted, nobody actually dances in that area

I am not sure if it is thought that the DJ at the Bionic Bar on Harmony will just provide lounge music or if they will also have a dance floor. The text is not clear.

•Bionic Bar on the Royal Promenade, featuring robot bartenders serving up one-of-a-kind crafted cocktails while dancing to a fluid beat

Even on the ships that had a proper night club, before they started removing them, they used to have Absolut Vodka sponsored clubs one night every week in the Solarium area, along with other events.

They had dance floors in Europe and were so popular they sometimes would have a second dance floor pool-side. The 'crowd' would then move down to the club for the late night.

They would sometimes have events for teens or families in the actual night club while these events were taking place.

  3. Completely differently, the Captain does not have a fixed table. If he chooses to dine with guests, he chooses them and the which restaurant. Could be a speciality, one of the four, or Johnny Rockets. Other Officers have chosen to invite people to a private dinner in the closed section of the WJ ( sometimes those are the best as they are less formal, and real fun.

How does dinner with the Captain work with Dynamic Dining?
  4. Whilst I agree with you that it really is the best show seen on cruise ships, and I am sure many people would be pleased see this video. I also fail to understand why people cannot respect the copyright of the performers, and NOT video the show as requested before this or any other show even starts.

Also videoing of such length is distracting to other audience members around you

It was the best show I have ever seen at a cruise ship. Spectacular !!

I can share a small vid:

  5. I agree with Bobal :D

If you're docking in La Spezia, unless you have your heart set on Pisa/Florence you should consider visiting Cinque Terre - much closer and easier to do from Cinque Terre and really stunning scenery.

Even with a 9 hour excursion you will spend a lot of that driving there and back if you visit Florence.

  6. The satellite thing always gets me, whilst I have little knowledge of how such things work, I always get confused. Surely the satellite is thousands of miles up in the air, and apparently tracks the ship. So how the ship moving makes a different is beyond me, as it must be roughly the same distance away. Sure I understand the weather thing as we all ocassionally suffer from those issues.

I think it is more to do with the satellite they link to in the states is a different licence agreement to that in Europe or other areas.

I think you will get signal before Shanghai, as there will be other ports, but when connected to the ships signal, I think you will not be happy.

  7. And as you would expect, I will write one thanking them for the new benefit.

Although what is not really being considered here, is that the price of the new Internet has tumbled, to a much fairer price for all that want to use it :D

If I wanted to write a letter to someone at RCCL expressing my displeasure with the new policies, who would be the best person to address it to? Any recommendations?
  8. Unfortunately this Poll will make little sense, as where we cruise or have cruised depends on the number of ships available in certain areas. It also does not reflect a time period as most will show the Caribbean as more ships have sailed in those waters over the last 20 years. than in other regions. I have could have ticked all boxes as have cruised all areas and others not listed.

  9. Wonderland is Wonderful on The Anthem :D

Hi hoping that Anthem cruisers can help me with some information for our cruise this summer. First, I would love to hear reviews from anyone who has eaten at Wonderland. My husband and my anniversary is during our cruise and I am debating booking a specialty restaurant to celebrate, Wonderland sounded a little different so I was hoping for some first hand information before deciding whether to spend the money. We ate at Chops once on another ship and really enjoyed it but thought something new may be nice, and I was lucky enough to book Jamie's with our kids for later in the cruise before it went a la carte. Also, for the longer cruises I am curious whether the menus in the complimentary restaurants do switch midway through. Our anniversary is night 3 of our cruise and thinking maybe I should book the dinner another night around night 5 or 6 to avoid missing any of the menus (we are booked for classic dining). Thanks in advance!
