  1. I would not have guessed that! We were thinking we would be loners willing to get up at 3:00 a.m. to watch football! Have you done this before? How many show up?
  2. Your post made my night. Off to read it to Nerd. TY SO Much. Can’t wait to meet you. What about early morning Tuesday games; known as MNF in the states?
  3. We have a private cab for Gibraltar, which includes seeing the apes! TY
  4. That’s the cruise. Thanks! Good to know. We’ve been on Enchanted and loved it, but definitely happy about the O’Malleys replacement.
  5. YES! It’s why we chose Westbound instead of Eastbound.
  6. ‘Twas a joke, since I was chastised for asking about something that may have been covered already. I know you are aware that there’s a new formal night thread about every 17 minutes. ;))
  7. Literally in the thread title. I can’t imagine tipping porters is related to a specific cruise line or itinerary.
  8. It should be more obvious as to whom one is calling the stick.
  9. Yup. That’s why I said the first six words I said. 🙂 Thanks for confirming. Now…. I haven’t seen any threads about formal nights. Any thoughts?
  10. Thanks for the tip; We are still working out what we want to do. We do arrive in Rome on the 20th and sail on the 23rd, so a couple of days. We head back to Europe next year, so we are keeping it short this time. We are mostly interested in nature and food. Seeing old buildings, ruins and paintings doesn’t do much for us. Example - the prime attraction in Gibraltar is the apes.
  11. The “mold” we are breaking from is finally having the money and resources to do anything but cruise within an hour of home. That’s why all the Caribbean. If we lived in the PNW, it would be Alaska and Hawaii for sure…. Lol Now that my husband can work from anywhere, longer cruises are an option. It’s freeing. He works from home, his mother’s, the mountains and oceans. I do suspect the food will be better than the standard fare you get on a Caribbean cruise, as well as the attentiveness of staff. Ty for your thoughts. They are appreciated.
  12. We will be on The Enchanted next month. We are plus, but we would never use the entire Prix Fixe menu. We only ever go to GiGi’s for the pasta stuffed with veal in the sage butter sauce. I guess we can use our one credit to just get that, and pay for the others going forward. I can barely finish the one pasta dish, let alone the appetizer and dessert. LOL. It’s not that big of a deal, I suppose. The cruise lines are still bleeding from COVID. Our stock is still sitting right where we bought it, basically, when it was low. The problem is, once they are completely flush again, these won’t go back to where it once was.
  13. I’m guessing the answer is nothing, but just confirming on what to give porters at this port. Signed: An American tired of every customer-facing person having their hand out for a tip.
  14. YES! NINE total and seven in a row on the way back. That thermal spa is singing my song…..
  15. Thanks. A non rotating menu sounds good to me. I’m hoping for more European flavors, too. I considered the Princess board, but then someone comes along with, “this really should be in the ask a question forum, because TAs and European cruises tend to be similar….” Lol. It’s hard to know, sometimes,.
  16. I’m glad they are gone. Watching people walk to their table with a giant tray filled with plates piled high with food was about as unappetizing as it gets. Now people have to put some thought into it. Win/win all the way around.
  17. Hey everyone. Next month, (can’t believe I finally get to say that!) we head to Italy to help the Enchanted Princess come back to the Caribbean for the Winter. This is some firsts for us — - We’ve never been to Europe - We’re doing our dream of a TA - Our first time cruising somewhere not the Caribbean We are jumping up and down excited!! We’ve done four cruise lines, mostly Princess. So, the two big questions we have are - 1: besides the blissful absence of Caribbean music on the Lido deck everyday, are there other types of things that exist that aren’t on non-Caribbean cruises and 2: are there any major differences between experiences on a regular 7 day and a full 15-day TA? Thanks for any thoughts you have,. PS - the best part is that after this 20 day adventure, we will be home about 2 hours after we wake up on disembark day.
  18. @gsmith2424 @joeflow80 You should start a different thread with an appropriate thread title. Nobody knows you are looking to get that answered.
  19. ?? I was talking about all access passes that Americans can buy to get any game they want. LOL. Otherwise, everyone, everywhere, gets whichever games their local market shows.
  20. That’s been true for the entirety of televised football. LOL…. Unless you get a package, of course.
  21. Such good news! We have (3) Thursdays, (2) Sundays and (2) Mondays! TY Both.
  22. This just answered a question I just asked in a new thread. TY. I assume they were also available in the stateroom?
  23. We are doing a 15 day repositioning cruise next month and are wondering what games, if any, we can expect to get in our stateroom or on MUTS. Thank you so much. 🙂
  24. We love the sea days and are finally heading on a bucket list TA cruise next month. Seven consecutive sea days to get us home. This is very exciting. We’ve had 2-in-a-row a couple of times; this will be much more fun!!
