  1. We're staying at the Pan Pacific for one night before our cruise next July. It's $510 including all taxes and the cruise package where they take our bags to the ship boarding area for us. It also includes breakfast at the hotel restaurant. I looked at the Fairmont and other hotels such as L'Hermitage, but they were all within $50 or $60 of the Pan Pacific and they didn't include breakfast or the bag fees for the transfer. Plus, at the Pan Pacific, we'll simply need to take an elevator down to the port since it's in the same building. So basically, nothing is cheap when you're in that part of downtown Vancouver.
  2. Celebrity Millennium shows it as an option for my Alaska cruise in July 2023.
  3. We are on a Christmas cruise this year on NCL's newest ship and I booked the first of October. I was more limited in cabin choices, but each category was still available. I went ahead and booked ours for next year just a couple of weeks ago so that I'd have a better selection available. 12 months out was plenty of time to have a wide selection of cabins.
  4. Specialty restaurants aren't a popular option on the first night of a cruise. Why is this?
  5. Curious what the experience is like in Port Canaveral? We're on NCL in 10 days.
  6. I have heard it matters what time you get on the ship so that you can book reservations for entertainment venues on the Prima.
  7. My Tempur-pedic mattress. My cat. And work. Just kidding. I don't miss work.
  8. This is a bummer to hear. I'm on the Prima in 11 days. Who is Rommel? Someone who would know for sure?
  9. I'm curious, too. We sail on the Prima on Dec. 23.
  10. Thanks for all the info and photos, Bird. We'll be on the Prima very soon. Were there any Vibe passes for sale on embarkation day?
  11. you can see dining? hmmm...I'll have to figure that out then.
  12. Check out my signature - I've booked two already! Not feeling cruise line loyal, so going to try out a bunch! I see that I'm not alone in my quest to ease my excitement. The countdown is now 11 days before we leave for Florida and 12 days for the cruise. Breathe deeply...it will be here so fast!
  13. We're flying into Melbourne airport and staying at the beach before taking an Uber to Port Canaveral the next morning. Any restaurant recommendations at Melbourne beach?
  14. Prices definitely vary. I paid $799 ($749 with cruise excursion credit) for an Ocean Villa at Silver Cove (this is the smallest villa without a bedroom) for the day during our upcoming holiday cruise.
  15. Okay, so the Free at Sea Plus isn't the upgrade to Streaming? That's yet another package? I'm so confused! Yikes.
  16. Our upcoming cruise on Dec. 23-30 no longer shows up on the NCL website. Seriously, if you search for the Prima for those dates, it's as if it's gone into the Bermuda Triangle. Or that new show, 1899. Non-existent. Sometimes it pops up with one balcony cabin open, but if you try to book it, it tells you it's sold out. And all other categories say Sold Out or Not Available, too. So does that mean it's at 100% capacity? I'm assuming so. It is a holiday cruise over Christmas on NCL's newest ship. And probably no upgrades at all available. Which is fine. I put in for a few, but happy with our family balcony cabin. I've just never seen a cruise disappear from the website before. Have you?
  17. What do I do? I leave on my cruise on the Prima in 14 days and I'm unreasonably excited. Any solutions?
  18. How far in advance can you book specialty dinners and excursions on HAL? I put down a deposit on a December 2023 cruise and wondering when the first day is for excursions and specialty dinner bookings.
  19. I have a July 2023 Alaska cruise booked, but the excursions I did see aren't coming up now unless I go to the app. I did book one already, so I can see it that way, but it's not showing up at all on the website when I log in on my laptop. And specialty dinners aren't showing up at all. When do excursions and specialty dinners become available to book?
  20. The first thing she does on the ship and last thing she does as your wife.
  21. I don't think anyone has ever asked a Wi-Fi question on this board before, so I'll be the first. (Thank you, thank you. If you'd like to see my second show, I'm on at 10 pm, too.) Seriously, I searched for this very specific topic and while I found about 18 dozen internet/Wi-Fi threads, I didn't find exactly this question answered. I'm sure it's out there, but I didn't see it because there are SO MANY internet questions. Here's my question: Our cruise is on the Prima in 16 days (Oh my God I'm so excited!) We had the regular Free at Sea package and we upgraded to the Free at Sea Plus package, which gives us some sort of upgraded Wi-Fi. I have no idea what exactly that means. There are three of us in the cabin. Two adults and one 15-year-old boy. Which means he's the REAL Wi-Fi user. Although I would like to browse a bit at night or in the morning, posting a few vacation photos, etc. How exactly does the Free at Sea Plus package work? How many devices are we allowed and while it says Unlimited, what does that actually mean and what kind of access do we get (streaming? I have no desire, but the boy will likely want to because why focus on the ocean and cruise when you can watch YouTube, right?!) Any info would be much appreciated.
  22. This is very helpful. Thank you! I'm on the Prima and I've also read that people need to board early to book the entertainment.
  23. I just did my check in last night and I didn't realize I needed photos without glasses. I had to scramble to pull up an older one of my husband since he'd already fallen asleep. Also decide who your emergency contact that isn't on the cruise will be for everyone. No Covid info was needed. Some countries do require it tho.
