I booked a flight to Orlando on Southwest 2 days before, spending the night and flying to Puerto Rico the next morning. I can't do a return flight until they open the schedule for that week. In the past I have booked a flight the day before from our nearest airport, but it isn't offered anymore. We cruise on April 6th.

I appreciate the info, I have cruised quite a bit, but have my first on VV in April.

I'm so happy you are doing a review, I'm booked for the November 11th sailing and I have no idea what to do in Mazatlan. The ports for Mexican Riviera board barely has any recommendations. I love reading up on here about tips ect. before we go. Thank you for taking the time to do this.

I'm going on the Option 2 in April. I made my choice more for the 5 stops rather then 4, all the Southern Caribbean island are wonderful. You can't go wrong with either in my opinion. This will be my 1st time on Virgin, so I excited to try a different line.

Mine is also dated for the 15th of June.

I won a sales contest at work in 1991, and the prize was a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas on the Fantasy. It was a brand new ship at the time and I took my mother. We had the best time, the food was wonderful, and the buffets had ice sculpture's, and the fruits were carved into all kinds of things. We went back out after dinner to Nassau and took a taxi to a casino, and it was my 1st time ever to gamble. We still talk about that cruise, even though we have been on many since.

I just booked this cruise last week, I'm so glad you enjoyed it and took the time to post. I haven't cruised Carnival since 2017, but have cruised other lines. May I ask what you did in Mazatlan? it's the only stop I haven't planned out. Thanks again for the review.

Update, I did submit my info just in case and at this time all they will give me is 100.00 on a 300.00 bar tab purchase. We aren't big drinkers, so probably won't do the bar tab. It was worth a try though. I appreciate the help here.

I've cruised several times with other lines and recently booked a cruise on Virgin for next spring. I read something about a status match, but really can't find any info on it by using the search. If there is a thread I apologize for asking. What does it include and how do you use it? Thank you everyone that contributes to these forums, I love reading tips and reviews on here.

I got off the Epic Sunday, and we had room 12136 balcony mid ship. We truly enjoyed our cruise, we ate at Cagney's and Moderno, both were good. I agree with others, reserve any specialty restaurants early, we were on a full ship and everything was unavailable. I had read many poor reviews on the Epic, but we had no complaints. Staff and food are all good, the elevators were not hard to get on, we use the stairs 90% of the time for exercise, but when we did want an elevator it wasn't as bad as some previous reports I'd read. The ship wasn't worn out or in poor condition, and the restrooms all worked fine while we were on there. Enjoy your Holiday cruise.

Thank you for taking the time to do this review, we are getting on the Epic this Sunday. I'm so glad you found it to be a fun vacation. Like some other's posted I've mainly seen folks post negative comments. My family hasn't been on a cruise since 2019, so for a while I was a little concerned, I had made a bad choice.
