  1. Not that swimming with them is a better experience, after they poop and pee in the water… 😳😳
  2. Without doing a break even calculation out to 6 decimal points??? How audacious!!! 😉😎😁
  3. You should tip your butler in direct proportion to the services you receive from them. There is absolutely no logic to tipping them on a per diem basis. We tipped as the services were provided, not at the end of the trip. That kept him stopping by to see if we needed anything that day.
  4. And their laid-back atmosphere when a few thousand cruisers jam their small downtown. And their enjoyment of sunset at Mallory Square. And the loss of funky shops to kitschy souvenir shops for the masses. And their loss of local control as the state fights to force them to accept cruise ships.
  5. Viking is moving down-market to fill it’s ever expanding fleet.
  6. So, people enjoy hearing about the worst-behaved person on your last cruise? This reads like a gossip column - how sad! Reminds me of neighbors who used to read the National Enquirer and share the most outrageous stories they read.
  7. A $5 increase per day for a 7 day cruise is $35. If you paid $3500 each for your cruise, the increase is 1%. If you paid $7000 each for your cruise, the increase is 1/2 of 1%. Been to the grocery store recently?? If $35 each additional causes you a problem, you might want to reconsider cruising as a travel option. Or just don’t buy the drinks package.
  8. Hmmmm… And why would they move someone out of the cabin they have had reserved for a long time? Only to give it to someone they deemed more “worthy”. Great way to treat your customers - NOT!!
  9. For all intents and purposes, it did!
  10. In Cancun now. Lots of National Guard troops at the airport checking out arriving passengers. Hotel management person said they are on a higher state of alert right now. Drug cartels control this country. You just have to hope they settle their differences away from tourist areas.
  11. And your steward would give you bad information why?? The bottle he/she uses to refill the dispensers must also be labeled, so there’s very little chance you were given false information.
  12. I remember that thread! It was a classic!! 😁👍
  13. Beach access now only allowed with a Day Pass, which the Atlantis site lists as starting at $190!! 😳😳
  14. Remind me - what was the original question?? 😎
  15. From the Dress Code section of FAQ’s: During the day, dress is casual including shorts (if the season is warm), slacks or jeans and comfortable shoes for walking tours. Swimsuits, brief shorts, cover-ups and exercise attire should be reserved for the Fitness Center, pool areas and Sports Deck. There are no “formal nights” in the evening; evening dress is “elegant casual” for all dining venues, performances and special events. On these occasions, required attire for ladies includes a dress, skirt or slacks with a sweater or blouse; for gentlemen, trousers and a collared shirt. A tie and jacket are optional; jeans are not permitted. The evening dress excludes World Café where the dress remains casual after 6:00 PM.
  16. Or they were born in Southeast Asia. I doubt they spend a lot of time in high school studying the US monetary system. 💵
  17. So they can brag about it on CC!! You gave the server a two dollar tip. Not sure they’re going to jump up and down and yell about the transaction.
  18. To clarify, Aloft is by the Isla Grande airport ( and Pan Am cruise pier).
  19. Note the other post was dated 2021, so here’s additional info. https://www.ncl.com/newsroom/norwegian-cruise-line-to-eliminate-covid-19-testing-masking-and-vaccination-requirements-beginning-oct-4-2022
  20. Aside from the thread “Is the NCL ferry to St. George still running?”
