A friend and fellow poster has been onboard Oosterdam and in the Daily and Bon Voyage threads say the ship is in tip top shape and food is great. They are in a Neptune suite.

We were in a Vista suite and we had an umbrella.

Scary situation. If there were a room available on the ship, you could have transferred over to the new room. (And have to pay of course)

@StLouisCruisers Sandi, prayers for Buddy are still in my prayer book. I'm so sorry to hear the news. @dfish Debbie I'm glad your surgery was a success. I had the same surgery 15 years ago. 2 days later I was volunteering at the hospital. Never felt any pain!

We love Christmas cruising. We were on the new Rotterdam for 34 days Dec/Jan. We will be on the Rotterdam again 34 days this holiday as well. We didn't have any problems with dining. Specialty dining was busy but we never had to wait. Christmas trees, garland, music. Santa. It's fun!

Melissa, We asked Rich (2 years ago?) if it were possible to add a few items to the Fleet Report for discussion. He came up with "The Daily" and it took off from there. As Denise posted, our early on posters of the Daily became close and yes started as a small group. The Daily grew, more folks started posting about Daily events and became a bigger happy family. There are always those who have differing opinions. Some, like myself, sometimes get hurt feelings and feel like it's a good time to step away for a bit and come back. It happens.

The hot tubs are not hot hot, but I didn't think the thermal pool was hot-hot either. Sailed Rotterdam Dec/Jan Caribbean.

Have had the lobster multi times but since trying the Dover sole.. hands down love it better. I also love the halibut in Pinnacle, duck in Tamarind, and the veal liver special in Canaletto!

Gosh, we are 4 star and honestly do not have preplanned spa dates, so when a special comes up we decide if we want it or not. Look on the HAL website and see if they still offer 25% off precruise specials.

Our neighborhood has an outbreak. (7 friends this week) Doctor gave our neighbor a script for cough suppressant, told to continue to take Mucinex DM, 1000 mg of Tylenol and 800 mg of Advil. No anti viral. I will be packing all of it on our trips, just in case!

Sometimes the app and website do not match. Are you already onboard? I found if you look at the spa specials onboard you can save a bit more.

Sandi, Sadie is adorable. She certainly will appreciate her forever home. Prayers for your family are still in my prayer book. Jacqui, extra prayers for you today. Sometimes people don't know what to say when someone's loved one passes. Suggest they say "sorry for your loss" and leave it at that. Roy, wishing you a wonderful cruise. Stay safe and healthy. Pinnacle grill had king crab on the menu in Dec/Jan. Not very big and too salty for my taste.
