  1. I'd love to tour the QM. Back when Iowa was still in service I got to spend a day aboard with a friend who was a corpsman on the ship. I got to see and crawl through some of the coolest places. I'll never forget that day.
  2. I do make quarterly payments. Let's just say my estimates were "slightly" off last year. Very untypical of me.🙄😑😢🤧
  3. I think the symbol appears to provide verification that the rear distance sensors are operational. If they are dirty, or in bad weather like heavy rain, you might get a notice that they are temporarily unavailable.
  4. Whenever I have booked flights and get an email from the airline my first reaction before I read it is to gringe.
  5. I have a question for those of you who have booked with TAs before. When check in time comes are you able to do everything yourself or do you need your TA to do it? The reason I ask is because yesterday I got an email from RCI advising to make sure that all the information in my reservation is correct as it will expedite checkin. However, when I pull up the reservation all I can see is my name and a message that the reservation cannot be serviced online and to contact the creator of the reservation. I am not new to cruising but very new to using a TA. Thanks in advance for your replies.
  6. We Italians are all about family. If school fits into the plans then great. If school doesn't fit into the plans then there will be a lot of empty desks.😁
  7. I'm sitting in a hospital having a cup of coffee while still digesting yesterday's visit to my accountant. I suspect that you are going to have a better day than I am.😊 Have a great time!
  8. I can't help but wonder if periodically the execs at RCI get bored and plant threads like this for their spare time reading entertainment.
  9. You may be right but there is a reason why consumer credit card debt is at a staggering all time high. I'm not going to speculate on why that is.
  10. If the cruise lines can keep that up then good for them.
  11. Which means half were not first time cruisers. My point was the newbies won't fill the ships on their own.
  12. Maybe an over valued stock in a debt ridden society? However, that is just an uneducated guess.
  13. I agree with you on this. Businesses will often chase a dollar today even if it costs them 10 dollars next week. And when you really think about it, just one year as CEO of RCI pretty much sets you up financially for the rest of your life so even if he screws up and gets the boot....
  14. Jason Liberty better remember that full ships today doesn't guarentee full ships tomorrow and realize just who is filling them. Look at the numbers people post about their cruise compositions. There are a lot of repeat cruisers. If those folks were not there would there be enough newbies to keep those ships full? I don't know and I'm not sure Jason wants to find out. Consumer debt is at an all time high. He may just not want to rattle the cage too much of those who choose to spend their money with RCI. Eventually the bottom is going to fall out of this debt ridden economy. And as far as occasional cruisers losing their status, that will accomplish nothing other than to make them more likely to sample other cruise lines. D+ and Pinnacle level is hardly filled with people who only cruise once every few years.
  15. If you like that system why don't you go ahead and sail with a cruise line that uses it? I have no idea why people constantly compare cruise lines with airlines. They are completely different industries. Their commonality is that they both operate expensive pieces of machinery that move. People fly because they have to. No one has to take a cruise. Big difference in how you can treat those two groups of consumers and what they will tolerate.
  16. Because when you do cruise, no matter how frequently or infrequently that may be, RCI wants you to have incentive to book with them and not try the competition which you might find that you like better. Also, when the next recession or pandemic comes along RCI wants to make sure they have a supply of people who will be willing to help keep them afloat just like we did for the reopening.
