All excellent points. And I started to think about all the energy drains from comfort features as I drive. There is the sound system driving 11 speakers, heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel, heat/air conditioning, cell phone charger, etc.

Absolutely correct. Policies are often made by people who need to do something in order justify the existence of their jobs and paychecks.

How are we going to upgrade the grid to supply enough electricity to charge all these future cars? How do you generate the electricity? No one wants a nuclear plant in their back yard. How do you mine the minerals needed to build the batteries without greatly affecting the environment? I can fill my gas tank in five minutes. Are they going to come up with batteries that don't need a 45 minute rest stop? What do you do when a 10 minutes trip on the Cross Bronx Expressway turns into 50 minutes and you run out of charge?

I just tried to switch back to my old password. It won't let me.

I don't know what the issue was. Finally I just uninstalled then reinstalled the app and everything is working. It is a bit annoying that I had to change my password today.

Glad to help. I am a bit obsessive about keeping apps up to date. I usually check the Play Store every morning and get any updates.

Your phone might be doing auto updates. You do not have to uninstall and then reinstall to update apps. Go to the Google Play Store. Click on Manage Apps and Devices. You will get a list of your apps that have updates. Tap on Update All and the process will start.

I'm having trouble with the android version. The app opens and then just hangs. It doesn't load any info.

I never log out of the app. It logged me out. Have you downloaded the latest update? I did this morning and now nothing but problems.

I just had to change my password to get into the website. The app accepted my finger print biometrics but then it just hangs and doesn't load any info.

How is anyone going to hack RCI? Their IT isn't decipherable to anyone, including the hackers.

How many payments methods exist to manage? You either have a cash account or one secured my credit card. I am a bit confused.

I'm not quite sure why everyone keeps trying to find fixes for something that isn't really broken. RCI has plenty of customers who like the product enough to keep coming back which is great for any company, they are sailing with full ships, and they have found a fix for the, supposedly, over crowded Crown Lounge. So they maybe have a cost of $4-6 per D-P per day in drink ingredients and that is assuming everyone maxes out their benefit every day. Their cruise fares have increased substantially. So in return for that $6 investment they are getting several hundred to thousand dollars more per booking while cutting back on service and, subjectively, food quality. The math isn't that hard to do. And anyone who thinks that cruise fares would drop by eliminating the drink perk is quite simply delusional. The only thing that will drop cruise fares is for people to stop paying them. However, I'm sure all those execs in Miami sleep well at night knowing that so many people are looking for ways to increase those multi million dollar salaries. Funny thing, I'm not aware of any of them suggesting pay cuts for the good of the company.
