  1. It's been discussed here a number of times. While not thriving Roy Rogers is still around. The closest one to me is in Burtonsville, about a 10 mile drive for me and I got lunch there yesterday. The remaining restaurants are not a lot different than decades ago. Roy
  2. Thank you Rich, Sandi, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. Not sure about today's quote. Fear is a critical defense mechanism but must be kept under control, Firefighters always work in pairs or groups because the support of others is an important part of keeping control of their fears. I won't hug a newsperson but an grateful for their contributions and will salute the other 2 days. I have not been to Haugesund, No idea what the meal is. My alternative is Gourmet Greens, Tropical Fruit Medley, and Prime Rib of Beef au Jus as served on MS Amsterdam April 4, 2014. Congratulations Ren Roy
  3. Not sure if it's in Rich's data base but here's the Eurodam itinerary:
  4. I have a zoom meeting at 4 today and probably cannot watch. Roy
  5. The other Boston memory I will share is from my 2016 Crystal Serenity Northwest Passage cruise, Crystal at the time was offering some :"We Care You Care" shore excursions which were free and gave us an opportunity to help the ports we visited. The one in Boston was the Greater Boston Food Bank where we assembled boxes of food for those in need. Boxes of food came down an assembly line and each of us added an item to the box: There were both staples and fresh items like bananas: This was not exclusive to cruisers as we were mixed with local volunteers: Roy
  6. Rather than more tourist photos of Boston I will post some of personal interest. The first (perhaps only) ones will be from my second cruise on Enchantment of the Seas out of Baltimore. I learned that the day we were in Boston would be my brother's 50-year Harvard reunion and I was invited to join him. Harvard graduations are in a big plaza called Tercentenary Theater and the tradition is that the sun always shines on graduation day. Sadly, that does not extend to reunions: The good news is that the reunion was in the tent at the back of the above photo: His significant other took a rare photo of the two of us together: On a more nautical note the Harvard Library is a gift from a Titanic Survivor and dedicated to his memory: Roy
  7. Today's sunrise is from my 2018 Crystal World Cruise. April 3 was a sea day from Easter Island to Robinson Crusoe Island: Roy

  9. In checking the alternative meal suggestion I was reminded that on this day in 1917 Ann and Pat received high medallion (at least silver) awards, Roy
  10. Thank you Rich, Sandi, Vanessa, Ann, Debbie, and Dixie. I don't think I'll find a rainbow today as we should be entering a dry spell and I'll pass on the other 2 days. I love the Bach quote. I've been to Boston several times both by land and sea and spent 10 weeks there at a Northeastern University for an actuarial seminar about 1980, I will sometimes stop by the campus store when on a port call. I'll pass on the meal. My alternative is Tropical Fruit Medley, Broiled New York Striploin, and Baked Alaska as served on MS Zaandam April 3, 2017. Roy
  11. The Elegant Explorer currently leaving Nassau. https://www.portnassauwebcam.com/ Roy
  12. Several nice toots from Reflection. Thanks Leanne, Lou & Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
  13. Suddenly Reflection appears to be back in her berth? Roy
  14. Not all mornings are created equal. Today's "sunrise" is from my first voyage on Queen Elizabeth 10 years ago today, a transatlantic from New York to Southhampton. There's only a trace of color on a nasty North Atlantic Morning where the photo was taken from the Commodore Club (Crystal think Palm Court or HAL think Crow's Nest), Roy
