  1. There's a list of what should be included on Celebrity's web page: https://www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/onboard-packages/beverage-packages/compare-packages There are typically other liquors available over the package limit; you pay the difference plus a 20% gratuity. Don't know about delivered to table. I guess I find that dinner kind of tends to fade away. If you ask for an after dinner drink the first night, they'll probably check from that point on. I think many if not most people grab a drink at one of the bars after dinner.
  2. I grew up more or less in the South. Never really cared for biscuits and gravy. I have NEVER had or seen any form of biscuits and gravy in the UK. Don’t know what your server was smoking…
  3. Or the port agent screwed up and they didn't throw them under the bus. Or it matters whether the ship is registered in the Bahamas or Malta. Or... There are no facts on this. If none of us trust Celebrity, why are we giving them our money?
  4. The "sommelier", intentionally in quotes, thing is and remains interesting. We've had a couple of really good ones on Celebrity. The best was in Blu on our first cruise. I believe she was Ukranian and very good. Our most recent on Equinox was efficient... Interestingly, I did the wines of the world tasting in August (SWMBO didn't want to try an hour speed tasting...). One of the sommeliers pouring was from India as I recall, had his pin in the European system, and had worked in London and a somm. He was NOT in Luminae. I hope he was working one of the specialties. I still have the name of an Indian restaurant in London that I hadn't heard of that he suggested! He's the first somm on X that I'm sure had trained and tested. They don't wear pins, and probably aren't allowed to.
  5. The omelet is still described as "your way". I'm assuming the ham that's no longer listing was sliced ham as a side dish. Not seeing anything that would suggest they don't still have the diced ham they use in omelets.
  6. You have plenty of time to apply for Global Entry. Comes out to $20/year, includes TSA Pre, and can be free with the right credit card or airline status... One missed connection because of a long line at CBP could make it break even. And it's so much less frustrating. Think about it.
  7. Do you have Global Entry? If so I wouldn't expect immigration and customs to take more than a few minutes once you get there (don't know how long the walk is at Newark). So the main concern would be a flight delay. Maybe closer than I'd ordinarily go, but I agree you should be fine.
  8. Or The Cayman Islands have a reciprocal agreement with the Bahamas (NCL flag state) and not Malta (Celebrity flag state)... There are a lot of options that don't involve any of the cruise lines lying. I will confess I can find nothing on any official Cayman Island web page that gives any insight. Licensing per venue makes sense. Requiring an inventory to assess duty makes some sense. Not applying equally to all cruise lines could be a function of flag state and other agreements (or not). It would be nice if X would just state what the requirement actually is and provide the source!
  9. Lost in translation. I meant that you could see the font "fine", as in it displays perfectly for you. Yeah, don't give anyone ideas on fines... Comic Sans will be perfectly readable on a Windows system. Maybe android. Don't know. It's not a standard font on iOS and Apple's little twist on a Microsoft font is apparently to substitute a script font. Cruise Critic offers Comic Sans as a font, but unless the iOS user has downloaded an extra font package, it's not there. And if you're typing on a PC, it'll look perfect to you. I remember a thread a few years back that was pretty heated to begin with, but one of the posters was using Comic Sans (I think) and people were practically screaming at them that they couldn't read their posts. The poster saw exactly what they were typing... Enjoy the cruise!
  10. Did you book online? If so, first check your confirmation. I can't think of a real reason you'll need to call Celebrity to confirm what packages you have. The customer service phone number is at the top of the web page, 1-888-751-7804. (I'm assuming you're in the US as you don't have your location visible.) If you booked with a TA, call them.
  11. Did you book directly with Celebrity? it’s almost impossible to accidentally book a Sky Suite without the retreat package. If you’re getting $850 in OBC, you almost certainly booked a retreat package, with premium drinks, Wi-Fi, and gratuities, and the OBC thrown in. Your confirmation should have a series of what appear to be gibberish codes. Most of the current promotions are 75% off the second guest, so the codes have 75 in them. What do those say?
  12. Best to check the app. Looks like soda is $3 + gratuity ($3.60), domestic beer (Bud/Bud Light) $6.5 ($7.80). Not seeing a price for Tito's, but it's in the Classic Package, so I think that's now either $10 or $11 with the latest change. FYI, I'm not sure what font you're using, but it's rendering as an almost unreadable script on iOS. CC lets you pick fonts that a lot of people can't read and they'll look fine to you...
  13. Should have said hopefully! I’d hope it would be spelled out one way or another! Very good point.
  14. The local bus service is The Bus. Yes… You can do it, but Google says 42 minutes. Less than half that by Uber, but round trip Uber could start pushing the shop’s tour. And presumably the ship’s tour will have timed tickets. How much is the tour and where else does it go?
  15. It would smell like cooking pork. And prepared as a carpaccio you'd only have the meat. And yes, it's a delicacy in large parts of the world. And example from the internet...
  16. I've lost old threads. Didn't the top end of the premium package go to $17? So this is now 6 1/2 drinks a day at the high end? What's seems self-defeating to me is I imagine most people are going to go for the most expensive drinks at that price. Even people who normally would have bought beers in the classic package. There's a point where customer behavior is to "get my money's worth". Over $100/day is going to cross that threshold for almost everyone...
  17. Googled it. There are a lot of examples out there on the web. Most of them look pretty appetizing. I'm kind of surprised. Looks like most of them aren't a traditional carpaccio. Kind of curious how they're doing it...
  18. I believe those are the most current codes for the current all inclusive bookings. And if you booked recently, give it a little time as Sykes suggested. FWIW, this is the first time I've actually seen my packages in my planner! So I learned something today, although it's also confusing...
  19. Did you book direct? Check your confirmation. It’s a set of gibberish codes on the confirmation. if you booked with a TA, make them do it!
  20. It should be listed on your confirmation if you booked direct with Celebrity,. I just looked at my next cruise out of curiosity and it's actually under Order History in the planner. I have two entries. When I expand details, one of those shows "Always Included Premium 1 Device". The other entry is empty, so I'm not sure if the "Premium" is my premium WiFi or Premium drink or both. (The entry with a drink glass is empty. Consistent inconsistency is a hallmark of Celebrity's IT...) If you both have accounts and Captains Club numbers, you'll each have your own entries on your own account. If you booked with a travel agent, ask for a copy of your Celebrity confirmation. And, for the record, the cruise planner will happily sell you a product that's already included in your booking. Like your drink package.
  21. Thanks. It turned out the MRT in Singapore wasn't a participating transit system, at least at that time. It was the first time I'd tried it, and my only contactless credit card was an AMEX which MRT wouldn't accept. Worked fine, but I had to unlock the phone (mandatory mask use at the time). Good to know that TFL participates!
  22. @MeHeartCruising Don't want to confuse the OP, but you were able to use your iPhone (locked) as a primary transit card on TFL? That's a feature not all transit systems offer (tried it in Singapore last summer and it was a royal pain; had to unlock the phone and select the card). We "should" still have two Oysters around the house, but I've only seen one of them... If I can set a card for transit use, that's a great bonus!
  23. Click his link. Their words, but yes, it’s all expenses. They mix operations and overhead, and call everything overhead, but it’s all expenses.
  24. How do you calculate profit? Simplified it's revenue - expenses. It's more complicated in actual accounting systems, but that's the basic formula...
  25. Back to the OPs question: The first reply listed what should be available in the premium package. Your call on how much of that is "premium". In August there were definite shortages. Mostly in wine, but our sommelier (we were in the Retreat) was able to suggest some great lesser known wines by the glass that were far better than the standard name brand offerings. Whether those were available in the MDR or the bottles were hidden away in Luminae is unknown. The listed wines are "such as"; I don't think there's an actual list of wines until you're onboard, and even that was frequently outdated. Whisk(e)y was hit and miss, but generally acceptable. I really think their specialties are cocktails, especially the World Class Bar if available, and they do seem to have liquor on hand for all those signature drinks. We had OBC so when we actually wanted a good wine, we bought a bottle. I'm not a fan of their by the glass Pinot Noir or Cabernet, although I think they had Kendall Jackson Vintner's Reserve Pinot Noir which was surprisingly good (could have been Estate, but it was in the package, so I don't think so). They had some really nice Italian wines by the bottle. But we weren't looking for Caymus or Conundrum, so I wouldn't have noticed if they weren't available.
