  1. Good evening, When and where is there dancing on the Splendor? In whatever locations there is dancing, can the dance floors accommodate more than about 10 people? Thank you.
  2. This is the issue with Regent and Seabourn also, both of which I have sailed on numerous times recently. To the musicians its as if there was no music created after 1985. It's all hustle all the time. The only hope is that there is a DJ that has music files from this century!! I leave the same complaints on the comment cards every time. On a different front, My mission on my upcoming Crystal cruise is to do whatever it takes to get the cruise director to have ballroom music, even if its only a DJ, in the Stardust Club as often as possible like it was "back in the day." By the second day I'm certain that he or she will hide in his or her office when they see me coming!!
  3. Hi Keith, Really happy to see that Crystal remains a superior product. Looking at the copies of Reflections you have posted (thanks for that) I do not see any activities in the Stardust Club. Is it being utilized for anything other than the supper club? Thanks
  4. Hello, Would someone who has been on the Serenity during the last few months please advise as to where and when ballroom dancing was offered. Thank you.
  5. That's interesting, because two Youtube videos of the suites taken with the last year show a combination whirlpool tub/shower with a shower curtain.
  6. Hello, Do all of the bathrooms in the Queens Grille suites have bathtubs with shower curtains? If not, which cabins have showers only with doors? Also, are breakfast, lunch and dinner all served in the Queens Grille restaurant? Thank you.
  7. Is the Supper Club only on the Serenity or is it on both ships? Thanks.
  8. Was Tracie in the Rumba (Béseme Mucho) vídeo?
  9. Someone in an alternate forum just posted a video of ballroom dancing on the Symphony. Dancing was to music by a DJ. If anyone has seen the video, please tell me the venue of the dancing. Thank you.
  10. This is my quest, to follow that star............ Happy Holidays to you also! Hope to meet you onboard someday!
  11. I apologize for starting a firestorm...lol. Perhaps Patty is correct and in my dotage I simply have the names of the venues confused. Therefore, my quixotic mission will be to have the after-dinner dancing moved to the Starlite Club.
  12. I didn’t start sailing on Crystal until 2016 so it was far more recent !
  13. What hotels in San Juan does Regent use for the pre-cruise hotel night? Thank you.
  14. In its prior incarnation, at least on the Symphony and at least on the 4 trips I took on that ship, ballroom dancing after the show was at the Galaxy Lounge in front of the stage on a dance floor with a live band playing on the stage. The dance floor was large enough to do a waltz, foxtrot, and tango. I am dismayed to learn that the ballroom dancing after dinner is now in the Palm Court on whose woefully inadequate dance floor (not enlarged during the renovations) doing a waltz, foxtrot, or tango is not possible and with a duo using a music machine. Hopefully this situation will be remedied before my cruise in May and I will be posting this comment in an alternate forum that I am advised is monitored by Ms. Levis. Smooth or standard Ballroom dance passengers, an email or posting campaign to lobby for moving the after-show dancing to the Galaxy Lounge with a band certainly couldn't hurt. Thanks.
  15. Thank you. Hopefully they enlarged the dance floor during their 2023 renovations.
  16. Ter777, pictures of the Palm Court dance floor would be much appreciated. Thank you.
  17. Perhaps we can get a petition going to move the dancing back to the Starlite. I don't know how one can do a waltz or foxtrot in the Palm Court!!
  18. "Clown" wearing a Stetson? Only perhaps if he was wearing it while sitting down at dinner (The Rule: On at the bar, off at the dinner table). Perhaps you call them clowns in the great white north, here in the USA we call them "men."
  19. By your terminology you must be an experienced ballroom dancer. DW competes at full silver level in national competitions and has won many. I am strictly a social dancer but my experience with Crystal is that my skills rival or exceed the Ambassador Hosts. DW is happy to share me with followers upon request. 🙂
  20. My travel agents mails me clear plastic luggage tags that you insert paper tags into, and Bobs your uncle!
  21. See post #30 above. Keep in mind that this website is called "Cruise Critic" not "Cruise Enthusiast" so, by definition, many posts are critical. Also, think about the number of people who have sailed on the Mariner in the past 6 months compared to the number of people posting negative reviews.
  22. The bags were at the Cabin at about 2:00 pm so there was no problem having access to clothes.
  23. Ditto. Also, food, entertainment, and cabin stewards were top notch.
  24. We were on the Mariner two weeks ago. Our experience was excellent. The food, service, and physical condition of the ship were top notch, far superior to SB and SS which we also sailed recently. The ship's "orchestra" and duo were very talented and accommodating as to requests. There was a piano player in one lounge or another every evening. We would not hesitate to sail on the Mariner again. I would be happy to answer any questions you have.
