Second on Megan's Bay, easy walk into shallow water, no waves. Good food and restrooms.
-
2 and 6 yr. olds, recent coki visitor feedback or alternatives
Green4me replied to nimbex1970's topic in St. Thomas/St. John
I'd go to Megan's Bay, very calm and shallow, no drop offs and good food bath room options. I will be there with DW week of 3/11 sailing. No kids but I'd take me 2 1/2 Yr old grandson for sure. Take a taxi and just let them know when you want to go back. You can/should bring your own swim support wear for the children Have fun π -

Premium Plus Beverage Plus Package question
Green4me replied to pbenjamin's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
For those that know... We are new to Norwegian and will have the premium unlimited drink package when we sail on the Escape next Spring. Question, is it really unlimited or is there a cut off? Just curious π -
Yup sad, they have two doodles still. We sadly learned they have sold the business and moving family back to Canada end of this year. Hopefully new owners will keep it going. Trying to talk DW into one more trip π

No charge for chair umbrella use at Jack's Shack as long as your buying drinks or food. We had a group of 10 and had a blast. Jerk Chix and Crack Conch were delicious. As always Erin and the crew behind the bar were the BEST!

Slap Koozies on the Mardi Gras, Actually worked great π

Cheers - what is the biggest mistake you made using the package?
Green4me replied to Woody14's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Markntara, We must be brothers from another mother π Cheers my friend! -
Last October on the Magic they had her all decked out with spooky decorations and a giant pumpkin head guy like 2 stories high in the atrium. Fun for sure!

Best time to Arrive at Mardi Gras Port?
Green4me replied to jolyroger's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I'll share this from our January sailing on Mardi Gras, As noted above after check in everyone waits in a big open hall area with seating although limited. Nice restrooms inside and cold water fountains in the back. When they call the suites who are seated in a separate area but visible it becomes cow heard mentality for the rest. Everyone stands and moves toward the boarding area regardless of what boarding group they are announcing. Very hard to hear them by the way, they could do better to have the current boarding group shown on the TV screens. We were A-4 then and A-1 this Saturday. The ship was not full then but expect it will be this time. Smooth sailing -
Thanks, Not our experience for Mardi Gras leaving Saturday. DW and I are Platinum. I had booked four cabins for our family ( two Gold)all balconies deck 12 port hump forward. I was only able to check in our cabin early the others I had to wait the 2 days. Maybe a Suite helped out, not sure but glad it worked for you. We got A-1, others were A-4; A-8 and a D-2 All checked in at the crack of midnight, so not sure what happened on the D but regardless we will have a great time. Best π
