You could drive up to the Laurentians for the day from Montreal. Lovely drive and area

Gilberts in Portland isn't far from port right along waterfront, same with West St Cafe in Bar Harbor which is tender port she will have a little further to go

I have a site that lists TA cruises, but unfortunately it is not saved on this laptop. I will try to come back to this thread when I am on my desktop. EM
Naming travel agents or asking folks to message or post personal contact info to obtain those names is against Cruise Critic guidelines
thank you

Wow!!! Don't make me regret saying how well this thread has been handled.....and I was expecting a mess😕 very interesting topic

The topic here is the OP's review.
Please don't attempt to interject the ongoing debate re the refurbishment out of respect for the OP. I do not want to disrespect this wonderful review by removing parts of it because others attempt to hijack it.
thank you for respecting your fellow member's review.

Not sure re shuttle to airport after cruise but both times we have stayed there, we waited forever...we were first group off ship and shuttles for other hotels had come and gone. After two incidents would not use them again. This hotel is not real close to port

Since there is so you much to do on Cozumel that you don't need to take a ship tour, suggest you also check out the Cozumel board under Ports of Call. My only caution would be to do Carnival excursion if you find a tour that includes ferry to mainland. Would suggest ship your for that out of an abundance of caution

Found a lot of this quite interesting but it's gone a bit off course and run its course

Please stay on topic i.e. not a medical discussion of allergies and treatment modes.
Thank you!

Asked and answered. Happened a while back so all is speculation

No, this isn't a Carnival topic but a tragic reminder to be overly cautious so that nothing like this ever happens to one of us.
Bickering, placing blame etc have no place here and will NOT be tolerated -and if you want to read only strictly Carnival related posts, don't read this thread. Easy as that. And only one thread on this topic.
Thank you

Way off topic, OP question asked and answered

It's a holiday so not gonna touch this now. It's off topic, beating a dead horse and who thought butter was such a big deal......anyway, keep it clean and friendly and enjoy. Otherwise I will just lock it 😣😤😐

Since the OP is missing in action going to assume it's because they are on the Horizon. 😊 Will give them a while to let us know before locking it.

Already long thread re removing tips, this was off topic and off topic question re informing dining staff of you are not coming answered
-
Oh geez...... this isn't a topic re parenting!!!!! It's about venues on a cruise ship where 18 year olds can and cannot go.
Go over to Floataway and start a thread if you want to discuss/debate what some parents do/don't allow and why you do or don't agree, please
Thanks..

Please keep this on topic, ie. removing tips on CARNIVAL, not a debate on taxation, tipping etc. Whether or not the tips are rolled into your cruise fare is cruise related --- a discussion of tax law etc re tips is not. And we don't need another thread on this.
Thanks
-
This isn't really cruise related as it's evolving but will.leave so others can f find this news and make decisions re their excursion in this area
-
If this veers off again or the arguing and petty comments.continue this can go away.
Thanks for not beating a dead horse

Asked and answered here and discussion on other thread

I'm not sure if children can go on this "tour" but google "Lobster Boat Lulu" in Bar Harbor. Going out with the guy to set traps, get lobster and then lunch. Used to be very popular.

Some hurricanes "blow themselves out" further up the North American coast or out to sea in the northern Atlantic. We've had rough seas due to this twice but no altered ports; however just as in Caribbean, it can happen. If you don't want to risk that it's marginally "safer" too book in July or early to mid August although your choices will be more limited and you will lose all chances of seeing fall color. I wouldn't worry about it though
