I would probably stay in Quebec city and have been to both several times. Spend a day exploring upper and lower town, rent a car and drive over to Ile Dr Orleans which is delightful, great little villages, good food, very scenic. Visit Ste Anne Dr Beaupre and Montmorency Falls. Check city website to see if anything special is going on while you are there. Enough to keep you occupied for several days
Train ride roundtrip is going to take part of 2 days, allowing little time to fully appreciate either city.

I never use PayPal but if he uses it to get a commission then you shouldn't have to pay the commission? And he should've known about the commission. I always use credit card.

My son lives in Roatan part of the year. The orphanage is well run in part due to help from the large ex pat community there. It's clean, good school and kids very courteous. Ship visits are field trips to learn how the ship runs, jobs there etc. The cruise lines employ a lot of locals and despite some grumbling as expected re crowded beaches, traffic ( which is always a mess) most locals appreciate the help to the economy. No One needs to worry about germs etc.

Question about blocking and how to do on CC asked and answered

Yes, easier to keep track of this hot topic, which I could move to Cubs board but will leave here if remains non political and in guidelines
-
See thread on Cuba Question re Carnival Cruises on this board.

Similar lto the sanctions thread re the pollution issue, and because this affects many who have planned cruises to Cuba on Carnival I am going to keep this thread open on this Board as long as it remains NON- political and remains within CC guidelines. Any new threads will either be locked or moved to Cuba board.. If this gets really out of hand, it will be moved in with the masses to the Cuba board or possibly even disappear much like it appears the cruises to Cuba may😕😕,
And I am editing title slightly for clarification. Thanks in advance for playing nice.

The cruise line tour will be a bus, not many photo ops and lunch used to be at a pavilion. Take Ollies and find a great place in town for lobster. We like West St Cafe

This topic is better suited to Royal Caribbean board

Host Carolyn- is there any chance you could include the link to this thread in your pinned thread about this issue? That way anyone seeing it plus those of us looking for updates could go directly to this thread...
Thanks!

Seeking your opinion regarding these 2 hotels: Hotel Manoir Morgan and Chateau de Pierre. We are 2 seniors plan to spend 2 nights in Quebec before our Princess Cruise on Oct. 4, 2019. We are looking for a hotel close to Old Town and the cruise port (if within walking distance will be even better). Which one do you think is better? Do you have other hotels to recommend? Thank You!
Been staying at the Pierre since the 1980s. Near funicular to old town, across park from Frontenac. Love this place. Convenient, charming....

Colors are up to mother nature😕 Have done this cruise 3 times next to last week of October. Different weather each time. One was warmest fall and leaves not so good, one it was freezing cold but color was great and one was foggy so no views. Ports are wonderful, but weather.......

This has gone completely off topic again so rather than spend an hour removing three pages while the bickering/\discussion about the environment, not cruising Carnival and Mr Heals continues and adds still more off topic posts , I am closing for now. It was good for almost 24 hours but how much can you say about a pen?
