  1. There are some browser extensions out there that add the offers automatically but they're not free, some are against browser extensions, you have to enter your credit card usernames/passwords and they're not compatible with some VPNs. Disclaimer, I bought a lifetime membership with cardpointer and never looked back and also I may not be current with other competitors Yet the cool thing is, when you login to a site like Celebrity, if there's an offer, the offer will popup notifying you. It also monitors all credit cards points/miles/cashback and will tell you which card will give you the most value
  2. Eden is great food and a great experience. Rooftop Garden Grill; to our surprise, there wasn't a limit on food and the portions weren't super large so could sample yet the downside is it can be extremely windy. If you're in a port during dinner time, could consider going then
  3. Royals loyalty program, Crown & Anchor. I interpreted that the code is for Royal sailings and wouldn’t apply to X’s sailing
  4. Im not saying it’s right but X sounds like they are charging solos more to make up for the second person’s anticipated on board spend
  5. I'll share some random 2023 Cape Liberty to Iceland details and I'm not entirely sure if this all repeats in 2024+ -During sail-away, an NYPD helicopter performed a few flybys; if this sounds appealing to you unless you're on a select few balconies you can see upwards, you'll want to be on the deck -While sailing we crossed into the Arctic Circle, X put a personalized Arctic Circle certificate in our room. There was a $599 tour for our sailing that would fly you on a small plane to an island in the Arctic Circle -We didn't get to see the northern lights on our sailing but the return from Iceland to NJ/NY did see them -On the return, for whatever reason they changed the Greenland port to Nanortalik -When sailing in and out of the ports in Greenland and Iceland, you see icebergs of all sizes, the ship got very close to the small ones -In Reykjavík, Iceland, there's a free shuttle that goes from the port to the central downtown location of Harpa Concert Hall
  6. 3 things, including what happens in the worst-case scenario -Each location varies including the fees, Seattle was charging a fee per bag in 2019 -It should go without saying, do NOT put anything irreplaceable in luggage you're going to valet or in any luggage you'll check -With travel insurance, if you want your luggage valet covered, you need to tell the insurance provider that "luggage valet is handled by a 3rd party, Bags Inc., and NOT handled by the cruise line or airline". By default, most travel insurance policies including credit card insurance do not provide coverage for a 3rd party but you can possibly add it In 2019, I used a luggage valet service out of Seattle, but my bag did not arrive at my home airport, LAX. You can file a claim with X, but if the bag is found, they may charge you for shipping it, and if it is not found, they only offer compensation of up to $250 (as of 2019). I contacted Bags Inc., who stated that they did not initially scan the bag during the "handoff scan" and suggested asking X if they ever scanned it. I couldn't get that information from the X claims, so I emailed the executive team. The bag was found a week later and shipped to me overnight for free, suggesting it had likely gone on another cruise. Yet no explanation was given. A few days after receiving my bag, I got an update from X's claims department stating they still had not located the lost item (lol)
  7. Wrong Saint John website (lol) but you seemingly can't purchase tickets online anyway. We had to purchase them in person at the HOHO booth outside of the Alt Hotel on Water St. Here's the one we did
  8. Disclaimer, your airline is very YMMV To expand on pricing related to airlines, when you use miles it is possible to get some fantastic redemptions with a lot of effort looking for partner award space. However, you can usually get solid value without much work hunting for SAVER award space for international long-haul travel in business. This means you should avoid booking domestic flights with miles For example, one way in lie-flat business class, LAX to Bangkok, is 110K miles. Mile evaluation websites vary but the highest rates have United miles worth 1.3 cents so 110K miles = $1430 + around $20 for taxes Compare that to the cash price, of at least $3721 so almost in $2300 savings. That's a solid savings just looking at United's calendar. You obviously want to open the 110K option to know exactly how many layovers, if all segments are in business and the total travel duration. In this case, there's one layover and you're in business in all segments
  9. St John's has a hop on hop off bus https://saintjohn.ca/en/transit/city-bus-tours $35/adult
  10. A very strange dynamic to add to this, with BCC/Casino offers, they now send out two different types of offers. Solo only or for two. If you book a two-off offer and go solo, they will charge you for the second person
  11. There isn't much for kids to do on board like the other lines you mention so often there are very few kids on Celebrity. Also, I don't think you'll find too many on here who go to the buffet every night; we were on the Beyond about a year ago but never went to the buffet for dinner. On other ships, they generally have nuggets/fingers in the kid's sections
  12. Appears they're selling a booking option as a B2B with the 16 nighter above and the previous Caribbean sailing
  13. I was curious what X's longest is so I looked it up, it's on the Connie, Apr 2025 TA from Tampa to Rome, 22 nights
  14. The other thing about visiting multiple MDRs, you may go to one and discover a 30-minute wait while another, a 30-second trip down the stairs, has no wait
  15. Celebrity Jeff Bezos's ship, the Koru, and anywhere he's willing to sail
  16. BCC keeps changing for the worse, wouldn't be surprised if they did give you the perks originally but now decided to omit them
  17. I stand corrected, thank you. First I've heard of this
  18. The OP didn't ask what the dress code was, they asked if it's strictly enforced which is not answered in the FAQ above
  19. Edit to add a disclaimer, I wrote my answer fully aware that the majority won't like it. I'm simply pointing out "expectations vs reality". I challenge anyone on their next sailing to look at every male guest in the dining venue to see if they can find someone not wearing a collar The waitstaff doesn't care, the M'D team will usually let minor violations in but not major ones. Probably not getting in wearing a rashgaurd, neon shorts, and flip flops. Yet wear a nice dress shirt and all-black shorts? Odds increase of getting in. I have sailed 148 nights on X since the restart, most nights at the MDR or Blu. Pretty much there's a dress code violated every dinner with it being easiest to see tops like T-shirts or rashguards as table clothes can hide those in shorts if they're already sitting. Yet I have seen others in shorts, I've seen men get seated and then put on a baseball cap which remains on their head all dinner long. I sent off all my pants for laundry service and didn't get them back for lobster/chic night. I openly admit I intentionally broke the rules by wearing shorts so I could get lobster. I will mention I did wear a nice button-down shirt and did my hair. The asst M'D was manning the host stand and let us in with me wearing shorts. Upon exiting, the regular M'D who just so happened to be in my path just said "Wear pants next time". If he wasn't in my path, I probably wouldn't have heard a peep from the crew
  20. Typically it's 730 and 930 on Euro sailings and 7 and 9 everywhere else
  21. Use the special needs form on post #5. Before you call your travel insurance provider, you may want to research the port areas for medical clinics a little to see if they offer options. Just my WAG (Wild A$$ Guess), insurance may be more likely to approve an IV at a public land-based clinic than on cruise ships which inherently have inflated pricing
  22. We have some Travel Agents on here and there isn't a magic schedule where they drop the fare and I would imagine if they reduce the fare, most wouldn't consider it a "bargain". There is an exception, however. Bargain pricing or "fire sales" do happen with most cruise lines including X if you're within around 90 days of the sailing. Fire sale fares typically are more of a progressive series of fare drops vs one single drastic drop. Last year, when X was sailing out of L.A. (they no longer are) they routinely had to offer "fire sales". Many sailings from PR typically have fire sales
