  1. Yup, and another perk is that if only one person in the party has status they can get others in (on my last two sailings, no one even asked to check our room keys during multiple visits). In Cafe Al Bacio, when you hear someone order a coffee and ask for a second cup/cup of ice/cup of milk, it's most likely because they are going to split the coffee (lol)
  2. I do have it available in my cruise planner for a may Europe sailing:
  3. Not from Cafe al Bacio physically, however, there is a little "hack" that's within the rules to get the same coffee for free. Your Elite status allows you to attend the Captain’s Club daily coffeehouse-style breakfast (usually Tuscan Restaurant/Tuscan Grille) which uses the same espresso-based coffees as Cafe al Bacio and is possibly coffee from Cafe al Bacio on some ships. It should be noted that this is only an option during the morning hours
  4. Answer: Go into this sailing's cruise planner and see if the extend option is present; if it is you should buy it (if you want it). If it isn't present it's doubtful they'll add it as an option later but feel free to check your cruise planner periodically
  5. Depalms is AI which includes unlimited food, drinks, a snorkel tour, kids waterpark, and even Flamingos. Renassance Flamingo Beach island is more relaxing most likely because the drinks aren't included and aren't cheap either. Depalms does rent out day cabanas, I guess that's part of the expensive price? This just feels like an excessive money grab by both X and the tour operator designed to attract the naive. Deplams is like a $100 ticket they're selling for $2100? I'm sure they include private transportation but the pricing doesn't line up
  6. I'd recommend sending a DM to X/Celebrity via X/Twitter as they will actually reach out to your ship. Occasionally a ship will go rogue and implement a passenger un-friendly change; a recent (several months ago) example was the F&B manager of the Eclipse not allowing free coffees from Cafe Al Bacio to Elite Plus and above on the day of embarkation
  7. Every situation is different. It's possible the next flight has availability or that you can buy a ticket from another airline with availability and then cancel the missed one for a credit
  8. Just an FYI...If you miss your flight and the rest of the flights for the day are full, they'll generally put you on the next flight's standby list. Generally, you'll need to appear in person at the next flight's gate and check in for standby with the gate agent. If you don't get on that flight you go to the next flight gate and gain a slight bump in the priority of the standby list. If a couple, if two seats open, you're probably not sitting together anyway so if only one standby seat opens on a flight, one of you should take it
  9. Yes, call them and try to get it fixed. If you did nothing it's possible it just gets fixed automatically, but if it doesn't, you could be waiting in a long line for guest services who may not know how to fix it
  10. Correct. When a photographer takes your picture they'll ask for your room number. After you request a photographer set up your onboard account for digital, they'll email you a link after the cruise, it's been within a week. Also, remember at some ports, X sends a photographer outside the ship so that could have a scenic landscape in the background
  11. Totally agree. Often you can go to the forums on Trip Advisor (CC's parent company) and find a local private driver for an affordable rate. We've had great luck with the drivers and the costs yet despite some claiming "excellent English" that wasn't always the case; good thing for google translator
  12. Looks fun! Absolutely. X can cancel tours at anytime
  13. I will add any tour that includes vehicles should be discussed before the deadline to cancel. Two couples plus the guide/driver in a 20+-year-old Rav4 isn't exactly what I'd call a "small tour 4x4 adventure" that we experienced
  14. Remember that you can book now and get a refund within 48 hours of the tour. On board, the tour team is usually fairly knowledgeable and should be utilized and can tell you how many are signed up
  15. Just got off the Eclipse and noticed this as well. Even on Chic nights, the backdrops were up but usually no photographer to be found. I've never had a problem with finding qualified people on embarkation day
  16. On the day of embarkation, there's usually no wait at the photo studio
  17. They've honored pricing errors in the past, book it now and see what happens. Worst case, it gets canceled and refunded
  18. To piggyback off this, it states: "*Until further notice, due to limited capacity only guests Sapphire and above sailing in a Suite category will have access to the VIP Lounge" so they at least give you the illusion this benefit may come back
  19. As someone who has made an 8:43 am flight from Port Everglades (I had a backup plan), even if you had a 12pm flight, things happen and you could miss it. When someone asks if they can make a 9am flight, the answer should be, "if you miss it, what's your backup plan?"
  20. The better question is, will it be tenderloin or another cut
  21. Suites are the absolute profit drivers, this is why every new ship has more suites than the last. Suites usually cost hundreds if not thousands more than a non-suite. All the extra fees/ancillary charges like the drink package are a drop in the bucket compared to suites I'll give a specific example and I'm even going to cherry-pick this example in your favor. I went to a TA site, put the date range from now to Feb, filtered all X sailings, pricing is per person, per night, and before fees and taxes: Cheapest Inside: There are a dozen sailings under $50/night, the cheapest is a 16-night South America repo for $41/night Cheapest Suite: There are about ten sailings under $400/night, the cheapest is a 6-night Bahama and Cozumel sailing for $312/night in an SS Of course, the suite's hard and soft products cost X more than an inside but roughly $271/night more? No chance. This isn't even factoring in the highest-end suites which offer nearly the same experience and cost to X as an SS minus the butler At the end of the day, X would be happier if someone booked a suite than they would if someone booked an inside with a drink, photo, and special dining package
  22. In the computer’s search box just enter hotspot; it's in settings
  23. Also higher odds they get more tips. On my 2017 crystal cruise, every day I saw multiple people tip in cash with a $5 or higher for every drink. This is despite all gratuities being included The crew get virtually no benefits working in the cruise indrusty, can't blame some who have the ambition to get employed in a western country
  24. Most cheerleaders define a hater as anyone who isn't providing 100% praise 🙃 As I've stated many times, without us non-cheerleaders getting them to make changes, you'd have vaping in the casino, only a 4 item dinner buffet, no MDR prime rib or ribeye, no free cookies at Cafe Al Bacio, no MDR classics, etc
  25. Not sure why there are different answers? 90mins Embarkation day 45mins for the last tender for tender ports 30mins for non-tender ports
