We went to Dickinson Bay purely because of its proximity to the cruise terminal. It was a 15 minute taxi ride at a cost of $5 pp each way. The driver scheduled a prearranged time to pick us back up. An umbrella and 2 chair rental cost $30 USD. They dropped us of right by the Sandals resort. While you can’t eat in there, there is a beachside restaurant called Ana’s in the beach. The beach was pretty with white sand and blue waters but it was quite busy. I’d still return in a heartbeat as it was so easy to get to.

Same! My girls got the huskies but we noticed some had reindeer. It was sheer chaos but all good fun.

Any thoughts on the Christmas in the Park festivities at Queen’s Park? We arrive in port at 7AM on Christmas Day.

We will be in Barbados (our first time!) on Christmas Day. I presume the shops will be closed so looking for suggestions on what we could do. We are a family of 6, travelling with my parents who are in their 70s and my DD ages 9 and 12. We usually head to a beach or do an island tour when in port. Is there anything within walking distance from the cruise port?
