  1. Yes, that’s my understanding as well as I had posted previously in this thread. Thanks for confirming this but I am still going to be cautiously hopeful 😀
  2. How do you find out if there’s a large group on your sailing? We sail over Christmas and NYE so I am assuming that’s likely not a popular time for these group bookings but you know what they say about making assumptions…
  3. Loved the show! We saw it on the Enchanted last Christmas. The CD was also presenting it to us as a new show and asking us all to have an open mind as it is different from the standard Princess production shows. Maybe they had complaints previously? Nonetheless, I welcome the change. Can’t wait to watch it again on the Sky.
  4. I’ll try to remember to report back after we sail. The notification should have been one of the first fixes or features they launched with the chat functionality.
  5. Hoping we can get iMessaging to work on our next sailing. Some in our party will have the internet package but others won’t. Granted the nifty medallion is helpful now in tracking down members of our party so at least we aren’t totally lost from one another.
  6. I’m keen to test out iMessage again with our party onboard. Albeit the Medallion tracker has been helpful to meet up with the family while we are all scattered about doing our own thing.
  7. The apps can run on the internet and intranet as well, depending on which IP ports are left open on the ship intranet. Many eons ago when we sailed RCL Anthem of the Seas, we had the ability to use iMessage, Google Chat and Whatsapp to communicate with our fellow shipmates and those back home. I find the Princess app chat function clunky and my biggest pet peeve is that a notification does not pop up when a message is received. That being said, it could be an argument for the fact that you're on the ship to "disconnect" 😄
  8. I had also heard the Princess intranet would allow for use of the iPhone iMessaging, FaceTime and WhatsApp but we were not able to do so on our last sailing.
  9. That’s exactly it, at least for us! All part of the fun in cruising.
  10. It's just a personal preference for some. Many are content with using the lanyard that Princess provides. I've used the silicone Airtag holders on past cruises, especially for my kids as it's easier than having a very long lanyard hanging off of their necks. For myself, I like to have a medallion holder that coordinates better with my evening wear. (I don't dare open up a debate about dress code here!). Happy cruising!
  11. I think this is all part of the fun in getting ready for the cruise. I’ve found some potential DIY options am eager to try. Will share what I’m able to fashion up. I think it’s time to put your medallion holders to use for a cruise soon!
  12. By chance have you had any luck finding floating locker bracelets with the 30mm interior diameter? I’ve searched high and low and can only find a max 23mm inner diameter.
  13. We were told there were restroom facilities but we didn’t use them. Ana’s would also have them for their patrons I presume. Hope you have a great time there!
  14. No problem! Hope you have a great cruise.
  15. I agree. We saw them each morning at the IC but they just didn’t taste as good as before.
  16. We were told by staff on the Enchanted that she is due to go into dry dock early this year. I suspect they’ll be adding these motion sensors at this time. Doesn’t sound like there are many fans of these sensors. I’ll be sure to add electrical tape to my packing list!
  17. @KYBOB thanks for sharing! Looks great!
  18. Do you have photos of the gourmet lunch to share please? The cabana will definitely be on our list the next time we are at Princess Cays.
  19. Thanks for mentioning the other acts I neglected. I really enjoyed the holiday show with the crew! That’s always a good one. The comic / magic show was a bit hokey to me as well. I guess it made for some good laughs but wasn’t my cup of tea.
  20. As you said, all 3 dining rooms offer the same MDR menu, with the exception of Capri which hosts the Club Class guests and they a bonus entree or two, so it’s purely based on preference of location (and decor, perhaps?). The Santorini and Capri dining rooms are located midship on Decks 5 and 6 respectively so can be viewed as more convenient to get to and more central to the hub of activities in the Piazza. The Amalfi dining room is on Deck 6 aft, tucked away in its own area. I’ve heard others say Amalfi can be a less busy as it’s in the aft but can’t confirm from personal experience as we ate in Capri.
  21. While I’m not the OP, we were on the Enchanted over the holiday period and I have to say we LOVED the production shows! It was our first cruise since restart so perhaps we have been cruise deprived for a bit. Nonetheless, the Enchanted had Princesses’ newer production shows Rock Opera, 5 Skies and Spotlight Bar. The dancing, set design, theatrics and singing were fantastic. I especially enjoyed 5 Skies as the plot line is quite different from standard Princess shows and the special effects were great.
  22. We were required to provide proof of vaccination on our recent flight on West Jet into the United States.
  23. We cruised Alaska a few years ago with Princess and our two daughters and found they did a fabulous job with the kids. We did a B2B Northbound and Southbound RT from Vancouver, BC. The Princess Camp Discovery (kids camp) staff did a great job providing entertaining, engaging and educating tailored to each age group activities. My girls at the time were in the youngest age group and had games, movies, and other events... all play-based but at the same time tied into the Alaska wildlife and environment. My little one especailly loved the little whale and eagle stuffies they got!
