  1. 5 star before age 21. Presidents Club before 40…..
  2. Can HAL (Ships Services) tell you if there’s going to be a Club HAL? We were on Volendam last April for a 17 day canal crossing ( ours was the shortest segment) and there was no Club HAL. Onboard there was a most mature 10ish year old and in another family a set of babies. All were very well behaved. The young lady joined our group when we ( independently) did crafts and she was delightful. Obviously you will know best what type of activities your son would enjoy.
  3. Do you have contact information for them?
  4. I think you’re right or at least close. Maybe even a year earlier or later. But that time period. I remember quite the reckus here on the HAL board as several regulars posted they had received just received them in the mail and others hadn’t. Someone reported calling and being told they were limited edition and not available. There were several threads- and whining- about it.
  5. Just wanted to say we had this for dinner tonight and it’s a winner. Served it with HAL’s roasted zucchini soup.
  6. “Spa” cabins are near the spa, but do not include entry to the spa. When they were first introduced they included some water, a yoga mat, a water feature.
  7. 6, or 6 Plus? I believe the plain 6 was deprecated several years back, but the Plus was still supported.
  8. Watch out! HAL may resurrect it for one of the “dark” nights in the showroom.😜
  9. Another vote for AirTags. In April our second leg of our flight to FLL was canceled but they kept our luggage. During the wee hours while we slept near IAH our luggage flew to DEN, then met up with us in ORD. His bag remained at the terminal in ORD while we flew to Ft Meyers. 2 hours after landing we watched on FindMy on my iPad as his tag entered the taxiway and down the runway at ORD. We won’t travel without AirTags again!
  10. We had at least 2 Orange Parties on our April 18 day cruise and then there was Kings Day. And there’s always the orange life jackets that could do in a pinch.😁
  11. We were on her April 15-beginning of May 2023. We loved her. No complaints from us (other than the classical music was pre-set and the program repeated 2-4 times during the afternoon and evening. The most they played in the evening was 2 same sets.
  12. One other thing about BsAs port- it’s a commercial / container port and huge. Both times I have been there we had to take the shuttle from the pax terminal to the ship. So the shuttle also needs to be running.
  13. I saw that too and thought it odd. Personally I have no problem with a change for an extra entree. Is there any information available on Canaletto?
  14. The lines on Volendam last April were chronically long. I finally waited through once for a cappuccino. It truly wasn’t worth it. It was nothing like the delicious ones Veendam staff made with a different machine. So for me, no need to repeat. I’ll just happily get ice tea at the lido.
  15. Just curious-what’s the difference between a limousine and a town car? (I thought they were the same.)
  16. Totally understand that one. I have not taken long trips (yet), but several years ago I set up a separate stand alone checking account that I keep a minimal amount in (enough so the account is complimentary). It has its own personal ATM card. When I travel, I put a couple thousand dollars in it (enough for lodging, food and return airline tickets) in case I have an emergency and need to access cash. If I were to set up auto pay for bills, it would be linked to that account. Should I need to transfer more money in, I could call my bank and have that happen. My “real” ATM card (the one that gives access to our accounts) lives in our safe.
  17. We were on for Panama Canal in April, and there were 2 well-presented talks on the canal. No other “intellectual offerings” by the ship, but I did bring along “A Path Between the Seas”. Not much stimulating on Tv either.
  18. If it’s the same rules as for health care providers, you cannot. We had a private sale that fell under the casino fare code and were declined. But the offers are not totally the same: Per the website, while military and educators can qualify when retired, apparently HCPs have to be active.
  19. This is something you might want to run by the business that sold you the insurance. Was it a broker who knows their product? I’m wondering if insurance might question and refuse payment if you are choosing in advance to do only the first half of the cruise.
  20. On our most recent cruises (2 since the pause) they were no longer requiring you to register for disembarkation. For those who preferred to self disembark and handle their own luggage, they published the times when you could leave, It was pretty much whenever. ( you could have chosen first thing, or 9:30, or anything in between.) For those who chose to have staff take their luggage off, they just placed the luggage tags out for people to pick up and self select their group time. No one had to pre-register. In years past, there were more rigid times for self-disembarkation, IIRc, it was the first 2 groups only.
