Hi again. Not sure you will be able to find this out, but if so, would appreciate times for the aqua and ice show ( guessing they will mimic Allure's 3 night cruise schedule but not sure). Also, pictures of the pool deck would be appreciated. I have a 3 night in Sept booked and 4 night in March so I really appreciate your review!

I never had a casita before but booked 2 for Odyssey in Nov. This is based on my experience when I was on the last yr on the same cruise . I booked for Port Canaveral as I do not plan to get off the ship, and I think a lot of others won't also. I usually sit in the Solarium and but figured this way I would be able to be in the pool area with some perks. I booked for next to last sea day also. On Anthem last yr the pool deck and Solarium were packed that day, and I think same will happen on Odyssey ( likely worse as it does not have the enclosed pool Anthem does). This way I have a decent place to sit outside again. And I do not have to get up at 7 am to reserve seats or deal with all the people saving seats. I got both months ago for very good prices also.

I would also like to know about the Railway Restaurant and the times for it, if it is open when you are onboard. Can you also verify if smoking on deck 15 is near the Beach Pool per what I saw on line( I have a deck 14 cabin in Sept but it would be on the other side and am allergic to smoke). Can you take some pictures of the spa also and the Thermal Suite? Thanks

I agree with last poster. I also think there is some sort of sign at the Beach Club, but adhering to the rules seemed very subjective when I have been there. I still am going back in November but I usually try to get there very early- the pool is wonderful then. I probably would like Hideaway, but I like the amenities at the Beach Club, and it is still a lot less than a cabana at Hideaway.

I think the lack of enforcement is also at CoCay. I go to the beach club, and while I have not seen the pool closed, each time I was there I saw many babies without diapers in the pool . I asked a lifeguard about that and he said they cannot enforce any rules as to toddlers there.

I booked a Grand Suite for next March. The Sky Jr. Suite was less for that cruise. -
Coastal Kitchen - Icon and Symphony

We were in Junior Suites on Anthem and Oasis last year. Once I got on board I went right to CK and managed to book for what nights I wanted for the week at that time. We eat late so maybe that it why we did not have issues. -
If you want to get a chair at one of the Infinity pools at the Beach Club ( or use the Beach) you need to book that separately on the BahaMar website. although I suppose you can see what is available day you are there. It can be a little confusing at first. We did this last Thanksgiving. I did not want to do the ship excursion and just wanted to do the Beach Club. You still need to have passes to the Waterpark though to book the Beach Club. I booked both directly. We then took a taxi from the pier and then got one back - very easy. Chairs at the Beach Club then were about $100 each but it depends on date. You then get a food and drink credit for that amount. I learned about all this from another cruiser on CruiseCritic who had booked a ship excursion to the waterpark, but then went online and booked a cabana at the waterpark for her family. Her review is still likely online.

Crying Myself to Sleep on the Biggest Cruise Ship Ever
elizabethbp replied to kaymoz's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Thank you Sizzlechest for your post. I refused to subscribe to read it. I disagree completely that this article is typical of Don Rickles. Don was not woke, and this author clearly is. He is patronizing and elitist. Sure there are lots of types of people on cruises, but I have been cruising for almost 40 years and love it. I finally made Diamond. The author completely misses the point of cruising- for me, nothing can beat sitting on my balcony, or at the pool or solarium, and watching the ocean go by. I actually feel sorry for the author. -
Bringing sand chairs on board
elizabethbp replied to EllieinNJ's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We were on the Oasis last summer and I saw a family bring on beach chairs and an umbrella. -
I cannot get on either. I also have not been able to book extras or dining for my August Liberty cruise for last 2 weeks.

Daughter and I will be at Cococay around Thanksgiving and normally do the Beach Club. However, as this is a special occasion cruise I am considering a Hideaway Beach cabana per her request to check them out. I am interested in any comments as to the difference between the two cabanas offered. Many thanks.

I still cannot book any dining, activities, etc for an August Liberty cruise that has been paid but can for 2 others later in the year. This has gone on now all week. I am curious if anyone else is having issues, possibly only with cruises that have been paid.

I had issues last few days with booking speciality restaurants on a Liberty Aug cruise and finally called RCCl and even agent had issues but finally still managed to get most of the bookings done ( but not all). I do not do unlimited dining package but site periodically showed 2 different prices, one with and one without gratuities ( which I had never seen before). Now when I go online all the cruises I have for this yr are off line. I am curious if anyone else is having this issue.
