  1. Okay, we are studying this possibility, upgrading to PV. Apparently our cruise is not selling out. So, do we want to keep our aft facing DV1 or switch to PV and be able to pass each other at the end of the bed. DH says whatever I want. That is why he is my darling. BTW, he does not drink spirits but I do. What to do???

  2. Had this problem last Sept. in Asia- on the Mumbai to Bangkok segment.  Our flight was at 10pm. Our transfer was at 4pm. We were allowed to spend the day in any public place. on the ship. Still got to the airport way before check in desk opened so we could not use the Delta lounge. a very boring day.

    Will be in the same boat in Dec. when we finish the Barcelona to Bueneos Aries cruise.  Flight is at 10pm again. Not sure what we are going to do this time.

    Just discovered that two of our specialty restaurant reservations were “lost in translation”.  We’re onboard and when checking our calendar we noticed that two of our reservations (1chefs table and 1manfredis) have disappeared!  Nothing much available now so we’re out of luck.  Somehow the system has us with restaurant reservations on the dates and times we had booked the others.  The rep told us that that we likely did that by mistake ( what!?!) 

    We tried to explain to her that that wasn’t even possible so it had to be a system issue.  Whatever the issue there’s really nothing to be done.

     She had no idea how that might have happened but said we should have checked first thing.  Guess we need to put that on the list of things to do!

    Need to double check everything!!  Yesterday we made the final payment on a river cruise and added on the trip mate insurance.  When I printed out our guest statement, I saw that we had been charged twice. Called the sales rep who said it must have been a systems error. Huh?? Money was refunded but still disconcerting.

    The email came from Viking. No special list that I know of. Maybe because we took our first Ocean cruise in Nov. or maybe the trip is not filling up.

  5. This is interesting. We got an offer in May for the November sailing on the Jupiter, Barcelona to Bueneus Aries, for a DV1 cabin for the price of a veranda plus free air. We jumped on it and were given a payment in full due date of June 30. Then last week we got an email stating that the payment date had been extended to July 9. Not sure why.

  6. We are booked on that same cruise with you. We have done one other Viking Ocean cruise but it was port intensive, so we were happy to read these responses.  We will be thrilled if there is bridge instruction and games.  see you in Nov.

    I book united through EZ AIR often. My res says tickets not issued/purchased too however I have always been able to select seats domestic/international. Do you have a mileage plus frequent flyer number for United?  Set up your account and add the frequent flyer number. I also added the United mobile app. Not sure why you can’t select seats. I fly United whenever I can for this reason of being able to secure the seats.

    Thanks all for the great info. So, yesterday I was able to book seats on the United flights over to the UK. when I pulled up my frequent flyer account.  The

     return flight is on BA and they say no. My biggest fear is that because this flight is on a Sat. afternoon in the summer, there may be few seats left and the grands will be separated from us.

  8. Color me confused. We will be cruising with Princess, for the first time, next summer. Used EZAir because the price was better than I was finding.  Got our flight itinerary within two days and were happy with it. Since we are taking two Grands on this trip and want to sit together,I went yesterday to the United website to reserve our seats. Using the Confirmation number on the flight itinerary, I was informed that seats could not be reserved because the tickets had not been purchased yet!!  DH"s opinion is that since Princess does not have our money until the final payment, that they can"t purchase the tickets. If that is the case, how did we get an itinerary and confirmation number?
