  1. On the Oceania forum, there are comments that VISA is using the "blue dollar" rate at 325 AP to the dollar. much better than the 185 ARP "official rate. FYI
  2. We travel with our adult autistic son. We have had both the standard mattress rollaway bed and the air bed. The standard bed was removed and brought back every day. The air bed compacts down to a small cube and was left in Suite out of the way. Both worked wonderfully. We've done 2 cruises on Explorer with these beds. No issues.
  3. Well, that's what happened on our last 3 cruises on Marina and Nautica.
  4. I am happy that my "nudging" got NCLH moving on this!😂
  5. That was me and I am happy to see that my post got NCLH moving 😂
  6. Correct. The server will scan your card and that's it. Usually by Day 3 they might not even ask for it as they know what package you have.
  7. Looking forward to you're comments. We booked Oceania leaving a week after you from Santiago to BA. You'll reach some ports before us so interested in any details.
  8. The Pure Dawn and Pure Dusk are excellent sakes. I buy them at Total Wine for $11.50/300ml bottle.
  9. Ignore the comments. We are Elite + on Celebrity and have sailed O 7 times. You will love it.
  10. This is not a sign up.Those lines are launching service on March.
  11. Article today on Carnival, RCCL, and several other lines rolling out Starlink internet service in March. 50-250 MBPS service. NCLH not even a mention. The telling comment came from an RCCL executive who said they had mounting complaints about the lack of 21st Century internet service. With NCLH desperately trying to retain and retract customers, where the heck are they in this??

  13. If you have a photo already, you can upload that without taking a new one. If not, yes, they will take one of you at embarkation.
  14. My opinion is if your DH imbibes 2-3 glasses of wine per cruise day, the basic package would be a bargain as the price includes the gratuity.Just book it before embarkation.
  15. I had a shot at the old Buckingham's bar at the Drake in Chicago years ago for $85/ 2oz pour. Smelled and tasted like high octane aviation fuel.
  16. Interesting tidbit . Just tried to pre book the prestige Package for our 2/7 cruise to SA. When I selected Other Options>Beverage packages, I got a screen message "due to beverage restrictions unable to continue t this time". ???
  17. Not true. You do get an email back saying the credit has been applied and it does show up online in your booking.
  18. On the sister line, Oceania, you always have The Terrace option to dine al fresco or casual inside. On Regent, if you shut down the Pool Grill, you have nothing outside. Since La Veranda becomes Setti Mari in the evening, opening the Pool Grill with a casual menu would not duplicate anything else being served. Bad decision by Miami.
  19. So which Bar menu sets the standard? Martini's? Grand Bar? Waves Bar? Horizons Bar? I've seen variations on the menu at each one in the past, so which one defines the Prestige package?
