  1. Thank you. I had never heard of it nor had it ever been offered to me. Probably because we are Ambassador and cruise in suites .
  2. What is the Priority Boarding. Never heard of it.
  3. My wife got sick on two different NCL cruises. We went to the Medical Center each time (with follow up visits ). We filed the claim with TFL and we were reimbursed the full amount within a month. No questions, no hassle.
  4. Miami has a booth and Port Canaveral has a tent outside for Haven and Suite (Not Mini Suites) guests to check in and bypass the long lines . Not difficult to find, but not easy either. Coming out of the parking garage, it is easy, but with shuttle buses you have to walk around the lines to find the booth/tent.
  5. I've heard the 300 number mentioned and I've also heard 200, 150, 250. I do not know why the total number is so secret. I've been on cruises where we were the only ones, and also on cruises where there has been 7 or 8 others. I would like to see NCL arrange a meet up with the Ambassadors on that cruise so we could meet the others on the cruise. Compare notes, etc.
  6. Any one have info on the Gem. Thanks in advance.
  7. That is the same one we received. We also received heavy duty bathrooms on our Spirit Alaska cruise, but that may be because we were the only Ambassadors on that cruise. We also received a free cruise for two for each of us, and then another free cruise on the Encore to celebrate NCL's 55th anniversary. We also received a Le Cruset 3 quart saucepan.
  8. Susanna was on the Spirit in Alaska in 2021. We think she was going to the Jade next, but that was two years ago.
  9. Although there is no Formal Night per se, some passengers do get dressed to the nines in formal gowns and tuxedoes. Not many, but some do.
  10. It was charged directly to our onboard account and we had to file a claim after we got home
  11. 🤣 I remember those days very well . I was enlisted and was envious of officers pay.
  12. It wasn’t quite free, I served for 26+ years to get that “free” medical. But you are right, the retirement check sure is good. Much better than the $68 a month I got when I first enlisted in 1964
  13. I can vouch for TFL coverage. On the Prima in December, my wife visited the Medical Center , and we got a bill for over $5K. We filed a claim thru TFL and received a check about a month later for the full amount.
  14. We avoid the Buffet for the reasons stated above, but also because it is travel day for a lot of folks and they tend to have lots of bags, coats, jackets, etc. Especially folks traveling from the north during the winter months. For some reason, some people are reluctant to check their luggage, and prefer to carry them on. That just takes up more space. Also people will just sit in the buffet until the announcement comes on stating the cabins are ready.
  15. I agree. It sometimes seems we have lost the art of one on one communication.
  16. We had dinner with him last week at Le Bistro, and I agree he "holds court". A charming man and a wonderful dining experience.
  17. Alain is back onboard the Dawn as General Manager. As far as the rest of the staff, I will find out next week.
  18. I would go to Cruise Next and sign up for 2. If they want to check latitude status then so be it.
  19. Will Alain still be on next month? He is a good man. Who is the Cruise Next Manager. Last year it was Juan from Mexico. He called himself Dawn Juan.
  20. Going on the Dawn in 3 weeks, anyone know what crew members are aboard. Appreciate any replies , Thank you.
