  1. I always research where we are going and what we are planning ahead of time so no surprises. Yes, I spend a lot of time at it, but it pays off. Better luck next time.
  2. I see RD's for both Princess chooses and I choose. Have not been shopping cruises recently, so that was a surprise as I was expecting NRD for the Princess Chooses option. Anyway, as mentioned above, either a Princess agent, or a TA can look at ALL of the eligible Fare Codes for you and offer options. You can do the same for yourself if you can access a third-party cruise booking engine that does show you all of the eligible Fare Codes once you enter Name, Birthdate, and Captain's Circle Member Number. Wish I could direct you, but all of them belong to travel agencies of one sort or another and cannot refer you per policy of this website.
  3. Anyone could set their phone to any time before taking a photo. Not to suggest you were doing anything nefarious. Another poster above suggested some folks were finding ways around it. I would think these days, catching it is pretty low probability and some reasonable precautions pre-cruise would pretty much assure being okay. Like just avoid super crowds in an indoor space.
  4. Book a separate Inside across the hall?
  5. Right, but I would move it within decent eyesight.
  6. Right, but not the normal state of affairs for families with kids along for the cruise.
  7. Okay, so you ought to be able to swing it in advance as well. As for internet package, you can share the credentials with anyone else. When a new device attempts to connect, the user is notified if another device is already connected and if to proceed to disconnect it. Credentials are cabin number and birthdate.
  8. You could take the "don't sweat it approach". Princess now allows guests to purchase the Plus or Premier cruise fare package upon boarding. Do it on embarkation and it is charged to onboard account. It is a good way to use up OBC and if you have any trip insurance that charges premium based on your trip cost, you will save on that as well since the Plus cost is not considered in the picture until you are actually on board. So, the parents and teens can be aligned in their proper cabins and then just order the package in the adult cabin. You also have the option to book the "No Alcohol" beverage package for the teens. Another tip would be to upgrade one parent's MedallionNet to a 4-device plan and then share with the teens. All teens need to pay is the $16 Crew Appreciation and then you can decide if a la carte non-alcohol drinks is better than paying $30/pp/day for the non-alcohol package.
  9. Find that hard to believe. If you are booking a flight, say 6 mths to a year ahead, that flight is not yet ticketed. Sure you aren't thinking of the 6-character reservation code and not the ticket number?
  10. ANDROID Version 3.0.107773. What's new We’ve improved the Princess MedallionClass. - Ability to easily book your Spa and Shore Excursions Pre-Cruise - New look to your OceanReady pass with even more helpful information, such as your Stateroom Number - Bug fixes and improvements
  11. Was it from outside USA (wouldn't be Canada as our exchange rate is much worse than that).
  12. Google is your friend in these instances.
  13. My interpretation was a couple sailing in a cabin orders Medallions and they package and come together for $10. Makes no sense to be charging $20. Nor to only include on in a package.
  14. Tip if booking an Inside cabin. We no longer configure as Queen bed since you end up with more space when configured as two Singles. Feels roomier and better flow.
  15. IMO, if they are offering a filet mignon + lobster tail, a guest ought to be able to have two lobster tails and no steak as an alternative. The extra charge should be for a second tail with the surf and turf or for three tails. Seems like they are cheaping out here, but I don't get overly excited about the MDR tails in any case. The giant prawns were always better IMO.
  16. I think you could have left out this phrase and still got point across. We don't run up a bill on board much at all, but certainly contribute to the Crew Appreciation.
  17. My thought is they would have to set the price at virtually the same level as it is now with 15 because virtually everyone would consume the max at the 5 level.
  18. Go to Princess.com and pretend you are going to directly book the cruise yourself and see if it works. If it does, I'd find another TA.
  19. It used to be Singapore, IIRC. But perhaps in bulk to Florida and then re-sent?
  20. Even if this were true for the Sky on some trip or trips, one should not assume will be the same whenever a contemplated voyage is being booked. I see no reason to avoid booking a ship for such a reason as menus do change over time anyway.
  21. That information comes from central servers and not from the App on your phone. You can use App settings for the Princess App to clear data and cache and try again. You do need to update the App when new releases come out as there are bug fixes from time to time. Some phones will auto-update and other situation settings you need to make the update happen.
  22. The Island still has a covered pool. Lots of chlorine smell though.
  23. We will never have the value in the Plus package rate even though we certainly pay our Crew Appreciation (and then some) and absolutely always have MedallionNet. That said, I do not understand why some posters are always arguing to folks why they are going one way or the other. If a guest has a lot of beverages each day (relative to us I suppose), I can easily see how it makes sense for them financially. If it adds up to $1K or $2K, well that is their vacation budget and let them enjoy it. Some of us go a different path and that is fine too. I just don't see the constant back and forth. You do the Math and it tells you what makes the most sense for your life.
  24. Is it anything to do with being so early in the summer (not really summer yet)?
  25. I think this may be an even better color combination:
