  1. For the itinerary we were, lack of Sanctuary didn't matter. Used the Conservatory space a couple of times for cards, but that space can get quite hot on a sunny day.
  2. I am open to our Florida address being used by anyone in UK for 100 quid per booking.
  3. I don't expect any one DR is faster service than the other, unless for some reason one was short-staffed compared to others. Folks in aft section cabins may prefer the aft DR for convenience. We elect one of the mid-ship DR's if at all possible, also for convenience. I am happy with a nice table and good wait team.
  4. So typical with PCL excursions. Could be traffic as well.
  5. There is the group who stashes their phones in the cabin safe (don't even want to be tempted one might think) and the group that carries them around. Ne'er the twain shall meet. Same as the tux group and the smart casual group. However, I'd like to think the groups do co-exist even though they clearly don't agree.
  6. Glad you got to go there, but seems like you didn't get to see that much with a long day. I went from Paris one time and we were at Pointe du Hoc, a German bunker, two beaches, Caen museum, saw a display of landing hardware and methods, US Cemetery site and a brief stop at the Canadian cemetery site. If you want more, hope you get a chance to go again. It is a sobering experience in all.
  7. We use WhatsApp all the time, but we also always have Internet, so I cannot say if WhatsApp works with people you have setup and all parties are on ships INTRAnet. I have been under impression that INTERnet is required.
  8. I agree with @Cruise Raider post. Note you can use the web and/or smartphone app to register your parents for the cruise. I am presuming you plan to dine together. Use your parents' Booking Number to add them as Travel Companions in the App. Then you can create a dining party of the four of you and book in the DR's for dinner or also Specialty Dining if that is desired. Outside of that they get a paper Princess Patter (renamed to the terribly boring Princess Event Listings) which tells them what is going on each day. Otherwise, they can order drinks and either tell waiters their cabin number of show them Medallion to scan.
  9. LOL. I am thinking the BBC is more like actual news and then you have decent news and you have fake news. Not every show is opinion, but then you have to tune in at the right time. I think the BBC channel does a world perspective, so not much of news from a home front perspective except for bigger items. I agree much better to use internet and you can focus in on areas you want to source news from.
  10. I like how they have organized this disembarkation schedule. Another good feature is the independent walk-off. It's just open to go whenever feel like it and this is what we have been doing for sometime now anyway when we don't have over-sized luggage.
  11. Actually, following in from the above two posts, I am curious to know if folks with active future reservations are seeing all three DR's in the DMW system for your ship, or if only two are offered. I had been getting impression, they were keeping one out on purpose prior to voyage start.
  12. I cannot imagine gristle breaking a tooth. It should not be encountered at all in a top-level filet mignon cut. Not a good result; sorry to hear that. If you didn't find anything else in the meat, perhaps the tooth was partially damaged before. I am guessing a cap is next. Quality of beef in CG seems in question in the past year or so.
  13. Predicting show times is not an exact thing. Popular times are often 7:30pm and 9:30pm. Can be that or anything up to typically 8pm and 10pm. It can vary during the voyage as well for various reasons. We were on a different ship last Fall in the Med and I think they were mostly 7:30pm and 9:30pm.
  14. I agree with the above. It's five hours round trip on the highways, so how much time are you going to have in Paris - other than a whistle-stop tour of seeing some highlights?
  15. Good idea, but not practical in the short term to address an immediate issue. It is likely the OP doesn't know a "good Princess TA". They could get booking fixed and then perhaps they might find such a TA in next 30 days and can still transfer the booking.
  16. Often, a Princess rep will add Princess transportation and Princess insurance. However, they ought to disclose that, but it should be obvious something has been added when they tell you the pricing (it wouldn't match what you see online). Anyway, removing the transportation is trivial, but does require a phone call. Make sure you know if you have or want insurance. Also, if you selected a cabin you want, make sure it is marked "No Upgrade". Who knows why you had issue making online payment, but I would call in and discuss that and mention that the online booking indicates $100/pp deposit. Perhaps getting a different rep when you call in again will result in someone more experienced. Select the phone option to book a new cruise.
  17. @nini, many posters here in the Princess forum have reported that they have not been billed the $10, even though the App indicates otherwise. Probably some divine intervention somewhere along the line. Personally, I would not sweat the $10 and either inquire to get it rebated as Refundable OBC on board or just pick them up at the pier. I found there to be virtually zero minutes delay in picking up Medallions in Italy at the port last Fall (had no other option).
  18. There is a sticky thread at the top of Princess forum page 1 and over 5,000 complaints, tips and advice. No, you are far from alone. These 5,000+ posts are not all that has been posted as the referenced thread is number three in the series. The App has been live for almost two full years now (June 7, 2021, IIRC) and still buggier than a swamp cesspool in summer. That said, a lot of the issues have been data corruption and not necessarily programmed bugs.
  19. No it won't if you create yourself as a second person with two Captain's Circle accounts. Each will have two unique home addresses, but you are going to have the same name and birthdate in each. I am not sure trying to beat the system is going to work without legit ties in both countries, but give it a whirl if so inclined.
  20. Appreciate that "fear" and the cruise lines love to pump it up in order to direct guests to their excursions. The reputable port tour operators never miss the ship either as their livelihood depends on it. What does happen 9 times out of 10 is one or more Princess tour buses are late back and the ship has to wait for them.
  21. Follow the money. I am not looking for advice, just a good discount off the cruise fare. Using an online agency that discounts, I don't particularly expect anything much else other than timely and accurate service related to the booking and any changes.
  22. I prefer to use a US-based online agency that gives me a generous cash discount off the cruise fare and not OBC or gift cards. I would use Princess.com right thru, but the discount is well worth giving up SOME control of my booking. I can still self-serve to make and manage airline reservations, DMW, etc. The only thing I have really given up is anything to do with the dollars and cruise fare. A cabin change also requires the TA to intervene. If the discounting wasn't there for me, I would be booking directly and doing my own thing with Princess as that's how I roll with airlines, hotels, rental cars, etc.
  23. Deleted my post. Must need to clean my glasses - or something.
