I like Emma also I think she is honest and gives you a good idea what any ship is like .She is great at room reviews if you care about that. She is mostly positive but that is a good thing . She seems like a lovely young women.

I find most you tube cruise videos to be pretty good and most times right on I wish we were allowed to talk about them on this site.

In 2007 I got the nerve to do my first D.I.Y. in Europe to the Acropolis we got off the ship as soon as possible took a train walked through the tourist traps around it (all were closed that early) paid and walked up. We were with maybe 15 other people (and some loose dogs) for about an hour or so before the ship tours and every other tourist in Greece showed up. I knew it would get busy but it was more than busy it was crazy. At it's most busy time we went to the edge and took in the amazing view of Athens. Sometimes you just get lucky ,it can be hard to fight crowds and keep the focus on the attraction but in the moment you have no choice.

The mini buses to Horseshoe beach are cheap, clean and the drivers are pro's .

I wrap some around a pencil have had it for a few years have never needed it yet.

My niece is a F.A. for American and gives the same advice. Sounds like you work for one of the airlines.I always fell sorry for the gate people they take most of the anger from some people who act like real jerks .

We are having another airline meltdown on the east coast . Saw some people in Newark airport who missed the ship and are still stuck in N.J. I know you should go a day or two early (we always do) but many have been stuck for multiple days. I feel so sorry for those caught up in these meltdown's and honestly wonder if I would keep my cool If I were them. Has this ever happened to you how did you handle it and did it turn you off to travel\ cruising . B.T.W . my wife daughter and grandkids flew out of Phila.to Orlando Wed. morning arrived by 10:00 A.M.had no problems . Some times you get lucky.

It was based in Phil. at one time (the only one ever I think) my daughter and her high school friends went on it for senior week in 1992.

Cruised many times with Grandson ,the funny thing about the letters is most times cruise lines did not ask for it those were Disney and R.C. X did and was pretty serious about it . We had an undated letter and just kept it with our passports and used it a few times over a couple years. If your Grands have the same last name as you they might not even ask .I know you cannot count on that but why ask for trouble..

Out of those three ships it is not even close, Eclipse is by far the best.

Glad to hear this ,it has been a while since I took the train .We have been using Megabus and the other one (can' think of the name) these are good cheap options for many of us.

Penn Station itself is dreary and ugly .There is talk of a new station hope it happens.

The Getaway is a great ship, Europe is about the ports not the ship . The ports on this cruise are great would love to do this one.

Have done this many times out of Phila. on Amtrak and N.J . transit . no issue with getting a cab and it will most likely fit . Don't worry about what might happen assume all will go well that is the most likely thing to happen.

We love Disney World have been over 25 times (I know that this crazy) been on two Disney Cruises and even if you take the price out of it ,it is not as good for a family as Royal Caribbean .The new mega ships offer much more WOW and better food .

Anywhere in Europe , but there is just something about sailing into downtown Naples you can feel the energy of this most time crazy city. With mount Vesuvius in the back round (you can see it from the ship) and so many amazing side trips it is hard to beat sailing into Naples. B.T.W. also loved Dubrovnik. .

I have many of these starting with gambling ,the gym (do like the walking tracks),massage , trivia ,the wedding game, door signs, karoke , and matching (or any graphic) T-shirt. What are your ''never do's'' I am probably forgetting some .

Almost all travel cliche's are true but this one is not to me . I go to places to see many things natural beauty , history ,great buildings and many other things. If I meet people along the way (locals) great but it is not the reason I travel. Many on this site will say the best thing about this place is the ''people '' sorry I just do not get that , to me if that is the case they must not have much to see . I have meet many nice people along the way but it is never ''the '' reason to cruise.

Disco lives forever !

I have read more than once about N.C.L having a show with her music. I am a big fan of her music and think it is perfect for a cruise show . Has anyone seen this what is it like ,has it started yet or Am I dreaming this up (don't think so) .B.T. W. if there are any Disco bashers(are they still around?) around fell free to join in .

Mine was Xs Century (also long gone) just something about it. Just the right size and a good amount of everything.

The crew of the Grandeur is outstanding ,the ship not so much.

Between 25 or 30 cruises I caught one cold, wife nothing.
