A video review of the test Spellbound experience with some actual footage from the parlour (spoiler alert)
-
Actually Princess said all cabins would have a couch or sofa but it turns out they changed this for the lowest category Stateroom, the Interior and it's just an ottoman bench. Better than nothing though!

They were having another Spellbound test event tonight and it looks like there are menus of some kind on the tables - we don't even know what the alcoholic versions are yet so hopefully we will get more news as more experience it. (Credit: shipmonk)

Season 7 of the series 911 has returned and kicks off with a cruise ship disaster theme paying home to The Poseidon Adventure What's more interesting from a Princess perspective is that on the first episode, the ship cabins are an old wood design but all have medallion entry door panels which the main actors scan to unlock the doors, they use it to track fellow passengers by location on the ship and they call it the Medallion too! It's a made up cruise line name though. In Entertainment Weekly they said - they originally planned to shoot the season 7 premiere on an actual cruise ship, “but cruise ship companies were like, ‘Well, does anything bad happen on the ship?’ And it's like, ‘Have you seen the show? It's not going to go real smooth

A visual check of all 3 sets of menus - all the same starters and pasta, some tweaks on the mains and princess favorites. i.e. Ribeye Steak Cafe de Paris in Reserve and Signature in place of Grilled Flat Iron Beef Steak in MDR For Princess Favorites, MDR gets Fettucine Alfredo and Grilled New York Strip Steak as well, Reserve and Signature gets Jumbo Shrimp instead of Shrimp in the MDR and Signature gets an additional Prime Rib on the Carving Trolley

Sun Princess Pools - Am I missing Something?
dides replied to cruisinsince75's topic in Princess Cruises
The Majestic Princess was the last Princess ship to have steps, see the Hollywood Pool pic below And this was the equivalent Retreat Pool on Sky Princess which started the new trend of no steps, only ladders: -
It was FB. Grabbed this of the Sky Suite balcony (had to do an edit to remove her standing at the rail) And the balcony is shown at the end of this reel being promoted by a videographer.

Yes, on other ships you could order off the MDR menus so need confirmation this is continued on Sun Princess. You also have an expanded Breakfast menu - the door hanger version - with more hot dishes.

It's difficult to assess when 1 poster only goes to one dining room. However, comparing the Captain's Welcome dinner shared on FB for the inaugural with CanadianBurger's Reserve Dining menu from the second cruise: It looks like the main differences are: - where the MDR gets Shrimp or Prawns, the Reserve Restaurant gets Lobster - a different Princess Favourites dish (Fettucini Alfredo appeared on most of the MDR menus from the inaugural)

Sun Princess Pools - Am I missing Something?
dides replied to cruisinsince75's topic in Princess Cruises
Only ladder type steps have been available on the last 4 Princess builds (Sky Princess, Enchanted Princess, Discovery Princess, Sun Princess). The occasional pool might be quite shallow and more manageable but the only place you will find graduated steps will be in the paid-for Thermal Spa. -
UK cruise vloggers Linzi and Mark (aka Suite Natured) boarded yesterday for a 5 day media cruise (they were originally booked on the cancelled 18th Feb cruise) and this video takes us for an enthusiastic real-time wander around Park 19, The Sanctuary, the Pool Deck, Sea View Terrace, Alfredo's, a Launderette, the Cabana deck, International Cafe, The Eatery, MDR Deck 8, Shops, Sabatini's, Kai Sushi, Casino and Wake View Terrace
