Another restaurant reel posted by a crew member - this time it's Unai Teppanyaki.

Ill Piccolo is reporting that Sun Princess will finally leave the shipyard this Friday.

Another look at a restaurant onboard - here is a reel of the Reserve Collection Restaurant. The chairs look a bit er functional.

That's interesting - for the original 8th Feb departure, Sun Princess was due to arrive in Barcelona 2 days before and they were going to have an inaugural event with VIPs and special entertainers on board.

A new reel has been posted giving us a glimpse of the Crown Grill on Sun Princess

If you choose any Reserve stateroom on Sun Princess then you will be to access the separate Reserve Collection Dining Room on Deck 7. However you would need to book a Reserve Cabana stateroom on deck 9 to access the Cabana deck. They are either side and set back from the Cabana deck. If you don't want a stateroom that looks directly onto the deck then be careful if booking a guarantee that you don't lumped into that category. Not seen anything about deck names yet - we have to wait til the first cruise I think.

We have placeholder bookings for the September TA and US inaugural but my project at work may prevent us from going. Though Princess UK PR have invited bloggers and vloggers for a day/evening visit when she stays overnight in Southampton. Not exactly making up for our lost inaugural though!

Depends what they have planned for that cruise too. The cancelled 18th inaugural allowed 5 nights from the 13th with 1,000 workers onboard. No mention of any stops. In 2017 the Majestic Princess took 4 nights to get from Trieste to Rome with a stop at Kotor with paying passengers. Will they still need all those workers after all that extra time? Imagine all the logistics of getting them back from Rome to the shipyard and that having to be cancelled too (unless they were staying on eek)

Remember that Sun is the first in the newly designed Sphere class and later ships in the same class, unless incorporating radical changes, will be carbon copies and the shipyard will have a pattern to follow. So maybe less of a risk.

Well we just woke up in Europe to this news. Absolutely appalled for those who were cancelled with 5 days to go. At least we got a chance to book a plan B cruise after the Feb 8th cruise was cancelled (currently on our first of 11 sea days on Norwegian Joy heading to Miami on a TA). I had passed the baton (i.e .list of burning questions) to some vlogger friends of ours and now they are literally in the same boat. Madness.

It's late evening in Italy and Sun Princess is still at the shipyard. This is the only mention I have seen that she is 'delivered' and thus is from a musician so this is by no means official.

Jayson has definitely just joined the team - not heard a peep from from Dan in weeks! All a bit weird.

Some actual footage from inside the ship posted on an Insta story by Filipe, one of the entertainment staff. They are still in protective gear and goofing around but here are a few screen grabs showing them approaching the illuminated Piazza with a glimpse of the Sphere windows. He also mentioned they are definitely ready.
