  1. When I transferred my booking to my TA it was very easy. My TA sent me the form to fill out. I completed it and emailed it back to her. Two days later the cruise had been transferred.
  2. We are in the middle of downsizing as we get ready to move not only to another city but into an apartment. It is surprising how much we have accumulated in over 30 years in our current house. I have lost track of how many boxes we have sent to good will. Fortunately my son is taking the pieces of furniture (family antiques) that we really did not want to sell or give away.
  3. If you have not ordered your medallion to be delivered to your home, you will be changed back to Blue Lane.
  4. I recently put a cruise on hold because my TA wasn't available. She was unable to take over the booking because I started it. She just started a new booking and I let the time run out on my hold. I was under the assumption that if it was just on hold a TA could finish the booking, but obviously not.
  5. This happens to me when I am looking up prices on saved cruises. I just hit the back arrow and go back in and it goes through.
  6. We were looking at a February 2025 cruise and wanted an aft cabin. Nothing was showing up on the website. We contacted our TA and she was able to get us one. In looking at other categories as well a lot of them were guarantee only. I find it hard to believe that a 2025 cruise is already filled up to the point where they can only offer guarantee cabins. It is very frustrating.
  7. If you buy the OBC on the Princess website it is now costing $135.00. If you look at your travel summary, it will show as $100 US OBC.
  8. DH and I both travel with our CPAP machines. We have not cruised on Carnival, however, Princess provides us with distilled water and extension cords. I would think Carnival would be similar.
  9. If your card has expired you will not be allowed to use it. DH was flying to Edmonton from Toronto and tried to use his card. It was expired but his new card had not arrived yet (it was approved). They wouldn't let him use it so he had to use his driver's licence because his passport was at home.
  10. I was trying to book a deluxe cabin for a cruise in 2025 and none were available to book - only guarantees. I contacted my TA and she was able to book one for me. I agree that this is a ridiculous way to do business. Most people want to choose their own cabin.

Perhaps the reason people continue to book with Princess is because not everyone is having problems with the app. I haven't cruised since 2019 so this was my first dealing with the app. I had absolutely no problems at all. Everything was entered easily and I am in the green lane. I just booked another cruise for 2025 and even before I received confirmation from my TA it was on the app. I started on a Samsung phone and then transferred to an I-phone and didn't loose any information already entered. Yes, Princess should be trying to figure out why it works on some devices and not on others and fix it. I do wonder how they cannot figure this out after 3 years of having this app being used.
  13. Thanks for the info. I have included them as our dining companions and because we are platinum we can book dining right away (our cruise isn't until December 30th). I had not option to book a shared table which is what we originally wanted to do. However, as others have said, I also don't want to be sitting with different people each night.
  14. I do have our dining booked for the same time every night for a table of 4. However, reading through this post there is no guarantee we will be sat at the same table, with the same wait staff. Also, people are saying that even with reservations there could still be a wait to be seated.
  15. My DH and I were just talking about this last night. When will Princess consider going back to having one dining room for the traditional dining. My son and son-in-law are coming on our next cruise with us and we've talked about how nice it is doing the traditional dining. It will be their first cruise and with all the problems I am reading about I'm worried it might be a discouragement for them to cruise again.
  16. Do you have to buy the internet for the whole cruise or can you purchase it for just a day or two?
  17. Thanks as well for this info. I am due to have my current pacemaker replaced in the next couple of months so I guess I have a question to ask my doctor.
  18. We will be board for New Year's Eve. This is a first for us. Does anyone know what Princess does for this?
