  5. Wow ,thank you for this 🙂 The ships look amazing.
  6. On EVERY other cruise ship I have been on have successfully followed the "notch" principle ! "Feet forward"is a great way to cruise, however I am particularly anal 🙂 Was particularly seasick on Nova ( last year was on a number of trips including Silver Cloud Antartica) with no problems.) I love a bath too, so finding both on Nova, quite difficult ......
  7. Recently disembarked from the Nova ,booked 6010 Feet "aft" Go figure 😉
  8. Hi Fudge, The following is word for word from my TA. Dear Sue, I am also very sad that Silversea had to cancel the voyage, and I would be happy to help arrange a refund back to your credit card, however Silversea is adamant about it being either a full refund, or 20% off another sailing for 2024, they refuse to do both, even though the letter did not say And/Or between the two line offers and is very ambiguous. I have spoken with several offices and all say the same thing. If you find another sailing for this year, I can try to force the issue with them again and as them to book it for you with additional 20% discount from this offer (cannot guarantee the results, but will do my best). Please let me know.
  9. I was booked on the Dubai to Mumbai 26th Jan sector. Silversea has informed me there compensation offer is a refund OR 20% discount on a 2024 cruise NOT both. Have others recieved this offer ?
  10. Have just spoken to Silversea, all Silver Moon pax will disembark, Muscat to Dubai will sale passenger-less. Onward from Dubai will sail as scheduled. Should any one wish to cancel, no refund available.
  11. Met him on Silvermoon last month & second mancunians opinion, found him to be rather condescending.
  12. So............................... You need to bring your retirement forward to Jan 11th 2024 & book Seabourn Sojourns World Cruise(145 nights) in 2 halves, which brings the price down to under $55,000,solo.
  13. 20th Feb 2024 Sydney-10th May + inc night Four Seasons Gala Ball. 80 Day Grand Australia,Asia & Alaska on the Odessey. Inc $3,000 obc, laundry. I booked in the UK £22,500,friend booked US under $30,000 for a veranda,(O/V MUCH cheaper + all the perks) They have a number of really good offers for solos at the moment. Seabourn $$ inc tips, drinks wi-fi (champagne & caviar ) Past passengers seem to be getting a further 5% reduction on a number cruises & if you are new, get some one to refer you for extra obc 🙂
  14. I was on the Silver Dawn with some American friends in April.Am now booked "solo" on the Nova trip you are considering (also a Brit 🙂 Have you had a chance to look at some of the "included" tours ? Cost wise for a solo balcony stateroom on lovely Silversea.......................a bargain !
  15. Also Silversea offer new cruisers a $500 discount when referred by a previous Silversea friend. Add to that a good TAs discount & some of there prices are almost competitive 🙂
  16. Hi Lois, Yes it is. Silverseas 25% solo supplement on some of there cruises makes them very good value for solos
  17. Hi Akronmaid, It was a SILVERSEA not Seabourn Cruise I booked via Silversea UK, not a travel agent. The price I quoted in the above was the price I paid in £ sterling. Sorry my post was confusing.
  18. Hi Jim, That price is for a solo Veranda suite. Have looked at the "included "excursions & well worth while. Really looking forward to the Panama canal transit.
  19. Not for everyone 🙂 Please dont "flame me!" because Iv just booked this myself ,via UK,so dont know if price is same everywhere? Silversea, Silver Nova April 16th-May 9th (23 nights) Fort Lauderdale to Vancouver £4,200 Not bargain basement I know ,but a veranda, butler,Champagne & caviar, wifi, tips, excursion in every port.Everything except flights, but any one flying from London we bought BA nonstop £600 (including suitcase ) on Skyscanner A friend just booked who has not been on Silversea before & through there referral scheme we will both get a FURTHER £350 each off the price so win, win. Deposit is non refundable ,but in the UK we are used to this 🙂 Really lovely itinerary in my opinion.......
  20. Too good to be true 🙂 I intended to book the same trip (Silver Ray 12/4/24)
  21. Must be doing something wrong, but I am on Silverseas UK web site & when checking a number of trips for next year it appears that port to port fares are 100% refundable until 120 days pre cruise. Is this a recent change ?
  22. Did you manage to find any suitable parking ? I have had absolutely no luck & am now looking at Eastgate multi storey 🙂
  23. Queens Grill for me ! Cant wait! Looking forward to meeting every one & having a fantastic time 🙂
