  1. The casino certificates that I have received had specific cruises listed and I had to choose one of those. Isn’t yours like that? I have never tried to upgrade those but unless someone has a system, you probably have to select the ones that you like the most and call CAS to ask about the price difference.
  2. Caesar’s properties reduced benefits since the pandemic in some casinos not all. The ones in Las Vegas give you 4 free drinks a day for D+ and they don’t have a lounge anymore. The ones in IL (Elgin & Joliet) still have lounges with food and drinks. Royal Caribbean still have free drinks for Prime and up.
  3. For full transparency, I am on the second highest level on the following lines: Carnival, NCL, Princess and Royal. So I think I am pretty objective about the pros and cons. Since you asked about NCL, this is what I like: Freestyle. Other lines have tried to copy this but NCL does it better. The only time I had to wait a long time was on the 16 day Getaway cruise from London last year and I got a beeper. Free at Sea. I like the $50 for excursions. Especially when I am traveling solo which is most of the times. Best program for solo travelers and solo cabins or studios. Best activities during cruises like trivias, etc. Perk for higher tiers like Back Stage Tour, Dinner with the Officers, 2 Specialty Dinners, etc. I think they need to add something extra for Diamonds.
  4. What other posters have said is correct. Here are a couple of photos taken in June from different angles.
  5. You are right. Thanks for the information about Princess. I will give Carnival time to fix this until my last cruise in February.
  6. I was one of the persons who posted on the other thread. I waited until I came back from a couple of cruises and I tried again. This time I called Carnival and the problem has not been fixed. The rep. told me that that is the way it is now. I told her that if that is the situation, then I will cruise on other cruise lines that only charge me port fees & taxes once. I think that solos should communicate this to Carnival in any form: calling, writing or in person when you are onboard which I plan to do when I am on Panorama in 8 days. I still have 4 more cruises with Carnival. That’s the time I will give them to fix this.
  7. It was the Venezia not the Firenze. I’m booked on the Firenze for February 😉.
  8. I bought a small one on the Firenze (not the Yeti brand) and I think it was like $29.99 or $24.99 but I used a coupon given at the Port Shopping show and it was less. That was in January.
  9. I have cruised from New Orleans with NCL and Carnival and from Tampa with NCL and Royal. My vote would be cruising from NOLA because there are many things to do and see from New Orleans before or after the cruise if you have extra time.
  10. I had booked Spectra Cabaret for the first night on Anthem last month and I forgot about it. So I went another night that was offered and waited on the short line of 4 that had to wait until the people with reservations entered the venue. I was still able to sit on the front row. Two things learned. Once you make a reservation even if you didn’t make it, the system won’t allow you to make another one. Sometimes it’s better not to go to a show the first night because it could be more crowded. I saw the same show on the Ovation without reservations and I couldn’t see it until the second time. It was more crowded.
  11. Another vote for Nelson Martins formerly from the Epic and now Viva.
  12. My last Meet & Greet was on the Star in March. It was well attended and it had coffee, juice and pastries. I don’t mind if they get rid of the pastries but please provide coffee because most of the M&G are in the morning and I need it early😉.
  13. My first cruise on Carnival and/or any cruise line was on the Tropicale in 1996 and it hooked me on cruising!
  14. Not only that but what about the perks. Would you get free laundry as D+ and up if a cruise lasts less than 5 days?
  15. Yes. I pay for double occupancy when I travel solo but not double for the port charges and taxes. Carnival needs to fix this. I’ll wait until later in the year to book Carnival again and give them time to fix it or make a phone call.
  16. I noticed this too. I was trying to book a cruise for next year. I put 1 passenger but it was charging me taxes for 2 so I didn’t book.
  17. Now I remember a similar situation on the Press Your Luck audition on the Viva last December.
  18. I agree with most of your points except this one. I had been on ships in the past on which production cast members ( like dancers) have helped during the Art Auction (NCL). On RCI this year, I was on a ship in which one of the main singers was helping people with the internet that day. I made a mistake because I told him that he looked like one of the singers of the production cast and he told me that he was.🥵
  19. Can you apply the D+ Bogo coupon there? Is the presentation on the Wonder good?
