And the Voyager saga continues—this morning the web site shows the first 5 cruises after drydock. Jan. 27, 2026, Cape Town to Port Louis, available; Port Louis to Cape Town, WL; Cape Town to Dubai, WL; Dubai to At Sea???, Call; At Sea??? to Rome, WL. I suspect and hope another email from Regent will arrive any day now.

Ours is also gone and supposedly new itinerary cannot be added and, as of a few minutes ago, is entirely WL, not a good sign.

Grand Voyage from Mauritius totally gone. Cape Town to Dubai completely waitlisted. Bye, bye Voyager?
Marc, I am all over this 😊. These East African itineraries and availability have changed at least 5 times today. Our mutual travel agency is working on clarification. Hope you are enjoying your cruise.

@Pcardad, I agree. Thanks, I was hoping you would reply. The web site itineraries for these East Africa cruises have changed again today.
Reserved this for the itinerary. If it is not going to happen, we would like an early notice so we can look for something else similar rather than having Regent string us along.

Just checked Regent’s web site for what Voyager cruise came immediately after dry dock—a Dec. 17 cruise, Marseilles to Muscat (WL), which is a change from last night when it was Barcelona to Dubai (WL). Then nothing until Jan. 27, Cape Town to Port Louis. The schedule seems to be a moving target😊.
I think an accurate communication from Regent would be helpful rather than the drydock excuse. Travel in and through the Middle East may be difficult for quite some time. If that is a reason, state that.

Yes, that’s the question. What happens to Voyager after March 20? Our TA is looking into this for us, but I was hoping someone on this Board might have some insights.

We just received a notice that our cruise in Feb.-March 2026 from Cape Town to Athens will end in Dubai. This is 2 segments of a Grand Voyage, Mauritius to Rome. The reason given is that Voyager is going into dry-dock in Nov./Dec. 2025. I’m not sure what a late 2025 dry-dock has to do with a Feb.-March 2026 cruise. Our 38-night sailing is now 20 nights and the cost is reduced by 50% on cruise only voyage fare. Any ideas on Voyager’s status after March 20, 2026?

We were in 780. Only heard voices when sitting on couch. Nothing in other parts of suite.

Bill, please post, thank you, Jan
Grandeur, 780, F1, November 18, Port, Aft, large balcony, 1, shower & tub, noise—mostly quiet but when sitting on couch could clearly hear voices from next door; recommend—yes; comments—smooth sailing on rough seas
Happy holidays to you and your family🎄!

He’s our favorite also and was on Mariner in June. Heard he is on Mariner now?

Our trivia partners, both couples, who have been on the Explorer and the Splendor, commented on how the Grandeur is the only ship where you can hear conversations from the neighboring cabins. We had noticed this too -especially if you are in the sofa, you can clearly hear voices. You can’t hear from the hall at all. They feel it is a design flaw.
On Grandeur, sitting on sofa, I clearly heard my suite neighbor giving CC information, including home address, while on a phone call. We’ve been on all Regent ships and never have heard voices so clearly.

We disembarked Grandeur on December 9 after 21 days. It was a very good cruise with an excellent staff and crew. If you are unsatisfied with anything, speak with the appropriate person. Regent really tries to make things right. And, if you are looking for a wonderful place to eat in Compass Rose, go to the back right corner and enjoy Denver!

We were in 780, an F1, on Grandeur for the last 21 days. Yes, it has a larger balcony. The ship sailed through 3 storms on the cruise. We were very comfortable the entire time. I would recommend.

Sry sir - I was passing though and didn't realize you were there until I made that post.
Or I would have bought but . . . We’re on Grandeur now 😊. Next time.

Dry docks are scheduled years in advance. It's not like taking your car to Jiffy Lube.
I understand that. I believe Mariner’s last dry dock was in 2018. With the issues Mariner has a sooner than 2025 dry dock might be a good idea.

Mariner has had plumbing problems since at least 2018. We circled Australia in 2018/19. Occasional issues cropped up then. In June we were on Mariner for a month and lucked out with no toilet issues but had no water in shower several times. I agree with Jim Avery. Mariner needs to go to dry dock now.

On Grandeur now, two very well behaved, cute babies!

We are on our way early tomorrow morning to Venice/Trieste. Looking forward to this beautiful ship and a great Regent experience. See you on board!

Joanie, Thank you for this excellent report. We are Regent fans, Platinum, but have several friends who only travel on Oceania. Nothing you have written makes me want to jump ship. Although Regent has not exactly dealt well with their Mideast itinerary changes either. Hope one day to meet you!

We lived in Japan for several years and Marc’s (mrlevin) advice is excellent! Looking forward to our Japan Explorer cruise for the month of April.

We will see Grandeur up close and personal on November 18 in Trieste!

Luke, Destinations Services, is excellent! He and his team handled last year’s Lisbon to Cape Town cruise very well.

We had a wonderful Indian dinner with British friends on Navigator a year ago. Spoke to Compass Rose Maitre d’, picked a date (at least 24 hrs. notice needed). As we like Indian food but are not that familiar with it, we relied on @Gilly and her Hero to chose the menu as well as staff suggestions. The dinner included printed menus, lots of attention, especially from the Indian Compass Rose staff. Regent at its best.

We too - also the JW Marriott. We'll look forward to seeing you there!
Stayed at the JW Marriott in Rio before a Mariner TA. It is very nice with excellent concierge staff. Right on the beach.

Best of any Regent ship we have been on! We didn’t upgrade to the streaming option. Email, posting pictures and short videos—all easy and reliable.
