What are you referring to?  Your obvious disgust for loyal RCI customers?

    Wow.  Sad

Absolutely not.  As I have stated many, many times...I am very social.  BUT after years of cruising (all different cruise lines)  I hate meeting people that feel the need to tell you their status...how many cruises....in a suite....etc...etc.   I am soooo turned off by this.   Talk to me as a human being.  I am an RN and have taken care of people my whole life.  I DO Not  CARE what your status is.  Period.

As a D+ we save well over $500 on each cruise.  When you save that much, that's the difference between a balcony or a JS upgrade.  If you reach that level you will understand it.

    per couple

    3*2*7*$8/ drink = $336

    C&A Balcony discount = $100

    2 free pictures = $60

    2 free wash and fold = $70

    4 days internet = $90

    $656 for a 7-day cruise.

D+ benefits have not been reduced.

I do not always book a balcony

    I buy the drink package..always

I never purchase the dumb ass pics (we have a camera)......

I always bring enough clothes to never have to wear them a second time

I never get the internet (except for our last cruise because my mom was seriously ill)

    Savings ....ZERO

I'm D+ with over 500 points.  I have no problem with RCCL catering to someone paying up to $30,000 to sail in a suite.  Hotels and airlines cater to those that pay more too, as they should. There are a lot more perks staying in a penthouse and flying first class than someone in economy.

I thought all people were created equal..  What is this whole "status" thing?????    Just unbelievable to me that people actually think this way.

Free drinks for 3 and a half hours a day, nice breakfast and evening snacks and unlimited coffee to name a few benefits of the Diamond lounge,I think most people would be attracted by that proposition.

But if you purchase the drink package, this means absolutely nothing.  Even if you don't ....I think talking to D and D+ pax, is not worth it to me to hear their stories about the gazillion cruises they have been on. JMO.   We met a "pinnacle" lady on one cruise and OMG....really?   Just torture.  Again...JMO.  I actually love meeting people that have never cruised before.  I find them to be the friendliest and most down to earth.

But being at least diamond makes those options even better.

Really?   How?   Not being facetious.   Just don't understand it.   Which ever bar we go to...pre-dinner or whenever....we have fun...meet great people  We are 1 point away from Emerald.  (which is not much different than Platinum)  Honestly, I have never understood the whole status thing.  We love trying new cruise lines and could give a rats ass about status.  I guess everyone is different  ...just how we feel.

Tactical planing I guess, I think the 8 day is followed by a 6 day New England cruise. The Oasis Class is very limited on where it can dock, hence since the cruises offered are anway mostly sea days there is no point to offer longer cruises than 7 days.

I actually do not care for 7 day cruises.  9 day is my minimum.  I was hoping for a 10 to 12 day (like the Anthem).  The Oasis could dock at Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Martin, Labadee, etc.   The 7 day is very disappointing.

  7. I cruise all of the major cruise lines.  When it comes to food, I actually rate Carnival's food a tad better than Royals.  Hamburgers and hotdogs?  NO.   Their dishes at dinner time are the same as everyone else and in my opinion have better options.  As far as the party atmosphere, I do agree with that statement if it is less than a 7 day cruise....but not too crazy (unless it is Spring Break)   Go and have a good time!  We always do.  (still love RC though..lol )

Hopefully something that blocks unhelpful comments that spam threads such as yours.

I don't think she was being facetious .   I think it was just an "hmmm" comment.   I actually just learned about these blankets a few weeks ago and was also in awe.  Have a great cruise!!!!

I most likely would have had a visit with Food & Beverage Director and Hotel Director.  Most Guest Service reps don't know enough to  "come in out of the rain."  Major waste of my time to talk to most of them.  Different story when you make appointment with Officer in charge of whatever your concern/issue.

Would not have given the glass to wait staff member.  No way.

Yes, you are correct.  I said GS for lack of remembering the correct department.  Thank you for the correct information.

Thanks, I think I was hoping that someone who had cruised in the PH and RS might have also tried a similar room on MSC....If we become more serious in our search we will go to the MSC threads....It is a line we had not considered but I do value the opinions of the OP, hence my browse and question...

As do I.  I am actually on another thread with him right now and he has given me such great info....
