  1. Reading all the sold out stories, I cancelled our 5 night Pkg on the X Beyond before we cruise in April....Everything sold out in CP. Called Captain's Club....all sold out unless we want to go after 9.30. No reservations in the 4 MDRs available before 9 pm either.
  2. I was able to order the Sundae from the Chops children's menu on the Symphony earlier this month. I have to than either Tree Skier or Mark and Daryl for that suggestion. I forget who posted that one can do that at Chops.
  3. We signed up for the Go Green. Room was cleaned in the mornings, refreshed in the evening. Refresh included turn down, towel exchange if needed, ice replenishing, trash removal. It worked good.
  4. Seen a lot of it in the Solarium Cafe....in Nov on the Silhouette, four elderly people "reserving" one table with towels and belongings and playing card games on the one right next to it. Many people having lunch in the solarium cafe were looking around for seats/tables to eat at and asked them if they could use that "reserved" table while they eat and then they would put every thing back (I also asked first but then sat on the small wall between pool and lunch area)...No! One of the ladies from the card playing group got very nasty at those who requested and started waving her cane at them. Verbal fight broke out when another couple just ignored them and sat to eat their lunch at their reserved table anyways. Crew member came to see, couple eating explained, he agreed that there should be no reservations and helped gather the stuff that was used to reserve. Well, where do you think they finally moved to ....Their "reserved" lounge chairs near the solarium pool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Two tables for four and four lounge chairs...a bit too blatant! Provided some lunch time entertainment for me. Sorry Mac, I apologize, I did not mean to interfere with your lovely review, just mentioned it since you observed the same seat "reservation" problem. Loved the La Popa pictures. We did that tour with Claudia some years ago.
  5. Marietta, I hope Charlie is fine. Give him a hug and tell him I said "behave!" 🥰😁 Say it sternly 😉. Hugs for you too.
  6. @PATRLR I called the resort directly and they said to just come when we want and get the passes. Which we did. I am sorry for the very late reply. I did not check this thread.
  7. We are also on the same sailing. Check my post #1. That's what we did.
  8. Deluxe Porthole Verandah "P1". It is under verandah staterooms. Following thread has some pictures and thoughts:
  9. You are always in my thoughts. Like for Marietta, I remember you in my prayers. Keep your spirits up, be positive.
  10. @Sea Dog Greg, we have a port hole verandah on the Beyond in April (kind of like a hull verandah as Carnival and NCL term that) which is like the first couple of balconies with round openings in the front on the Anthem if any one knows about those (quantum class) and it is a real balcony, no window like infinite v. The first few front and back on the E class. Way cheaper than sunset afts. These are not big or luxurious like the sunsets, and therefore much cheaper. Also get sold out fast. No lounge chairs, only a table and two chairs like the infinite v, but are an "actual" balcony. Our cabin is way aft and lots and lots of walking. These are on deck 6, 7, 8 and 9 very forward and aft. I will post pictures when I go, if anyone is interested.
  11. Thank you for your thoughts. Much appreciated. Is the food included in the pass, if not, What is the price of the food options available?
  12. No suggestions, but I am very happy to see you post. It has been a long while since we have communicated. We enjoyed your company on the cruises we met you.
  13. Diamond Plus only got us one more free drink voucher loaded to the card. 😁😆 But I hope you get there fast and all your wishes are fulfilled.
  14. We booked Bella 2 and 3 . Excursions: our usual thing is to just go to the beach, in the ports, unless Royal has an excursion we would like to do.
  15. This was our experience so nobody please scold me: MSC was total chaos and confusion galore while booking and on board. All three times. Two times we booked directly through them and once with our TA. He was pulling his hair dealing with them too. The TA's company is not working with them anymore. One of our friends from the ex NCL crew is now HD on an MSC ship we were on....he has totally lost it! His being onboard did not help. It was just not for us. I never say never, and will give it a try again, but sitting it out for now. MSC ships we were on: Divina (once) and SeaSide (twice). Cancelled the Meragvilla because of too many headaches with the reservation. We are not Yacht Club people and have never booked YC before, so I cannot sing those praises or say what I didn't like of YC. We are the normal stream "cruise enthusiasts" who will look for a deal more than a suite, points and amenities, (so perhaps our experiences with MSC are not that stellar) .....if the suite has the greatest deal, we will look definitely at it, I mean who would not like a suite and be pampered, I'd love that!!! but putting all the numbers together take priority to us than a butler, a drink package, chasing points, etc etc, so we will always look for deals, group rates , etc. And I also keep getting the line, "Do you want to cruise once a year in the best suite or go on more cruises?". You know which one I am picking so far!😁 but everyone has their own desires to follow, so no right or wrong answers. So having said that, I have cruised in a suite only 3 times : once in a Crown Loft on the Oasis, another time on NCL and once on Carnival. Crown Loft took my breath away. NCL was WOW and their service was WOWer! Carnival was a big suite, lots of space, no complaints.
  16. We love Celebrity. However, gone are the days of the real "All Inclusive". One is paying for everything: wifi, drinks and tips, while booking or later via cruise planner. Your itinerary looks very nice. I love the Silhouette and the Equinox. You will enjoy this ship! $600 OBC sounds like you are booked in a suite ? We also liked NCL a lot. We are Sapphire on NCL and love their perks too, although DH maintains that no perks like Royal's D+ and up. Have not had an opportunity to go on NCL in the past few years, but always window shopping. MSC......UGHH! But willing to give them a third chance. Virgin.... don't know, don't think so, but still reading reviews and researching. Carnival....been on three and not hesitant to try their newer ships fro FL. Princess...YES PLEASE! Been and will go again! JMHOs, based on our cruises. I think there is something for everyone out there!😁
  17. Thanks for your thoughts. We have been on the Equinox many times and love that ship. But Reflection will be new to us and we have a couple booked on her. I am very happy about the Equinox coming to PC even if its for a bit. PC is around one hour 15 mts away from us and "our home port". I wish they had some more interesting itineraries on the Equinox from PC and I hope they bring her back or homeport her here. We will be on the Equinox March 4 and I am always thrilled as if it were my first time.
