  1. The App is acting up....I made show reservations for specific dates. In the App it shows that I am booked for every show every day. 😁 The website shows correct dates but not the App.
  2. Here we have several baby frogs.....now which one to kiss just in case he turns into a prince?🙄 And small garden snakes. EEEEEEK😝 Humming birds.🥰 Baby deer that seem lost. Awwwww🥰 Cranes, and a crane couple that has a baby crane. Awwwww🥰 Among other "Welcome to Florida" creatures.🙄
  3. Immediately (booking made a week before cruise. Quantum). Immediately (within a week or so of booking and sailing on Odyssey) Pretty fast after booking (mostly on the Anthem) Eternity....for Serenade and Jewel. Quite fast for Grandeur balcony.
  4. @sjb317 Thank you for posting your review. I enjoyed reading it. I am looking forward to seeing Grease again for the nth time. And happy belated anniversary. Sorry you were chided by some who were expecting more drama.
  5. Wishing you and Linda the best.😀 You cannot say no need for best wishes....you will get the best wishes always! Especially from this online family.
  6. The July 4 sales had Upgrade to Premium Wifi for $5.99 pp pd. Upgrade to Premium Drink for $20 pp pd. Shore excursions were also a good price. I am not seeing them anymore. I did the premium wifi upgrade for Oct and Nov cruises. When you call for Wifi or Beverage Pkg upgrade ask for the Elite discount. If you are D/D+/Pinnacle on Royal, you are Elite on Celebrity. I don't have many great hotel suggestions for Ft Lauderdale area. Someone local may know better. We used to stay at the Renaissance, but lately they have become iffy so taking a break from them. It is not bad, but some rooms that we were assigned needed a lot of tlc. Otherwise it is OK, has a CVS and lots to eat across. I haven't tried Hilton Marina but people seem to like it. Recently we have stayed outside Ft Lauderdale at Del Ray Beach and Pompano area, because we drive to the port. Some one suggested Hilton Garden Inn (Dania beach) which has shuttle to cruise port. AC and Mariott FLL are both new hotels in Dania beach area and close to restaurants. We have also stayed at Le Meridian Dania Beach. I liked that one a lot (maybe because they upgraded us to a suite? and it was really nice), restaurant on site was great. Bar area I am sure you may enjoy more than I did, ambience was great. They had a shuttle to drive you around the area restaurants, but am not sure if they took you to the port. We drove and there was ample parking. Also check out Celebrity's hotels from your cruise planner.
  7. You will love it. However, the aft balconies on E class ships are a hike from the elevators. I see it as a positive....excellent opportunity to eat all you want and get the exercise in! Where are you staying pre cruise?
  8. @Sea Dog Greg, we looked at April 1 and April 12 Beyond sailings and went with the April 12 one since hubby wants to go to St Marten! I hope you paid a good price for that cruise. Currently Celebrity's prices are crazy especia! I am glad we had a deposit to play around with.
  9. New fridge came in yesterday. Thank you all for your information shared here in selecting one. Second ice maker came along at the same time but they did not install that in the bottom freezer. We will have to watch You Tube and install it ourselves or call some one from GE to do so.
  10. No, they do not have great beaches there. We drove by one at Boca Grande. It wasn't anything like the Caribbean beaches. I would suggest you look up excursions at Rosario Islands. I have not been, but have heard a lot of things about them. I almost booked an excursion there but we ended up moving that sailing. You tube Rosario Islands. They are a group of small islands in the bay. They have hip resorts and beaches. There are also ferries but cautious me would do a public ferry only if in port overnight. Look at what Celebrity is offering to Rosario Islands. It may not say "Rosario". This if you are interested in doing a beach type thing. But also consider the old Cartagena excursions. If knee is not behaving, it is a bit of walking around in the walled city so keep that in perspective. Topped with the heat. At one time we did a coffee excursion where they took us to a coffee store, taught us about howw to taste coffee, how to make it, how the flavors come about, etc etc....I am mentioning it because it was all sitting down on tables in air conditioning and tasting coffee of different kinds. I brought home two packs and they are the best coffee I have tasted (IMO). It is San Alberto. There are many other good ones also. Do not buy any coffee from street vendors.....we got fooled with authentic sawdust once!😅. I read in their magazines that Cartagena is known for buying swim suits (REALLY???) I didn't see any except the ones that made me say OMG where is the fabric! And Emeralds I said OMG for a different reason.😁
  11. We toured Cartagena with Claudia, the very first time. It was a superb tour. Old town, churches, squares, La Popa, new areas, etc. It was a private group of (I think 25) arranged by someone on our CC roll call. The tour was customized and we covered everything. After that we have been many times and usually went off on our own. I also want to go to one of the island retreats and do a food tour. I have written to Dora many times on the recommendation of others, but she will not customize unless there are a lot of people wanting that particular customization on that particular day. For example, I love to go to the Monastry at La Popa, the new Boca Grande area, go inside some old town churches, etc and spend less time in the Emerald Shop disguised as the Emerald Museum with hard core sales people. I also like to wander around in the squares and plazas in old town.
