  1. Enjoy the cruise and please keep us updated. We leave on the Voyager on November 12 from Lisbon. I have been to Cyprus a few times and really enjoyed the people, food, beaches, etc. However, I have never been to Northern Cyprus. Bill and Kathi
  2. Thank you to everyone for your answers and support. I will be checking in online tomorrow like everyone else. Always an adventure with us! We'll see all of you onboard! Bill and Kathi
  3. Hello, we are on the Voyager's Lisbon to Cape Town sailing leaving Lisbon on November 12, 2022. We arrive in Lisbon on November 9 for the pre-cruise tour/excursions. We have received or been booked on our flights to and from and no issues there. We are in a GTY E suite, and a cabin assignment has not been made. Question: According to the roll call, one fellow passenger has received his cruise documents, and probably others have also. Would anyone know when we will receive our cruise documents and/or when we will be assigned a cabin? Our TA has been in touch with Regent, and they only say a cabin has not been assigned. I already know that Regent. My DW gets a little anxious when things are not in order. She doesn't want to get to Lisbon and find out we are not getting onboard for some reason. So, any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  4. If the voyage is a series of voyages, e.g., B2B2B, then you would get three bags per segment. Our latest NYC to NYC was 46 days and consisted of three segments, hence three bags per segment and four cruise credits. This is so even if marketed as one voyage.
  5. I found that the regular coffee served in the Terrace and MDR is like drinking yesterday's dish water. It is terrible. After a few days, I gave up drinking coffee. The other problem is that you cannot get a regular coffee at Baristas, it is all frou-frou coffee or an Americano.
  6. Having been there also, I whole heartly agree with you.
  7. the metal bottles are ok but the glass Vero bottles, when full, are a few pounds.
  8. When full, the Vero bottles are rather heavy and definitely not for on shore use.
  9. The last time we shared a table with a couple from Canada, Ontario, I think, all they wanted to talk about was gun control and what "we" were doing about it. I really don't think it is any of their business. If afraid, then don't come to the states. Turns out, the husband has a gun in his home. A bit hypocritical, IMO.
  10. Regarding currency, when we landed in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe many years ago, they wanted only US dollars. It was $30 in cash per person. Their currency is pretty bad, exchange wise. I don't think you can even get Zimbabwean dollars in cash in the US anyway and I would not trust their ATMs. Otherwise, enjoy your trip. It is beautiful there.
  11. Gilly, if you could, please post the daily menus for Compass Rose and the specialties. We will be boarding on Nov. 12 and just want an idea of what they are serving. This will be our first Regent cruise. Thank you in advance. Bill and Kathi

    Yangon Suggestions

We will be in Yangon (formerly Rangoon, Burma) for three days in January 2024 on the Oceania Riveria. I am looking for tour suggestions since it is three days. I am willing to travel upriver, so to speak, and visit other parts of the country. Thanks, Bill
