When you booked the room for 4 people, did they ask/get the names and ages of all 4 people? How can they put you in a room that only accomadates three if you gave them the info for all four? Was the deposit for 3 or 4 people? You should be able to tell by the amount. If they only charged for 3, then yes, you would have to pay more for the 4th... So I would start with the receipt/deposit Do you have a receipt? They should have emailed it to you. I am confused too

Not that you asked me but I actually prefer the smaller ships. I only book Oasis Class occasionally when cruising with friends or family. I don't see myself EVER booking/cruising on Icon... Looks like a kiddieland on steroids. I book for the itinerary, the ship is secondary...

Another option is to go through the Check-In process again and see if you get a better time slot... Other than that if you want to risk waiting outside, show up early, if not, show up during your scheduled time. If everyone shows up at 10 am and ignores their scheduled time... How fast do you think thry can get 6500 people on the ship? Do yo like being packed in like a sardine? Just Sayin'

What no one has mentioned, you can go to the specialty resturant that is open on boarding and have lunch while you book your reservation... Lunch is included with the package. Also you can dial 7000 from your stateroom phone or any house phone to boook or change your reservations

It's the little things like this that add up over time and then RC catches on and makes everyone suffer.... Like when they changed the the Drink Package policy

Daughter # 1's Diamond Status would not be applied to the boyfriend unless they are living together. You can't just randomly apply status to a cabinmate just because you are dating.

I bought a hair straightner speciffically for cruising... Only used it once, several years ago to "Iron" my DHs tie. No one else on the ship has an iron or steamer, they won't care if you have a few wrinkles!

Can not say I have ever used this but I have heard it works well for long trips. Travel Washing Machine I am an over packer from hell, so I have no need to wash my clothes on a cruise!!

I have never had the desire to go into a DL. SL or CL on a non Oasis Class ship on boarding day... I am not sure if there would be someone there or not.

On Both Harmony and Symphony we just knocked on the door... Was nice to have lunch in CK on boarding day!!

My understanding is you can use it for lunch as well... But with lunch being a lesser dollar amount, why would you want ti use it for lunch. Just pay the extra charge for the lunch and use the 3 night plan for dinner. JMO I have heard they will refund the UDP and let you keep your pre-paid dinner plans. They have it set up the way they do to let people have the UDP for a discounted rate. Trying to bypass the system will actually end up costing more in the long run.

Piggyback question (sorry) I had a cruise on Serenade canceled in Feb. 2022 due to it being a staff hospital for covid. Currenty the FCC is connected to my Feb 2023 cruise, which will be changing sometime in the next few weeks. If I don't use all the FCC or have to change the date further out, will this apply since it is not directly connected to the Global Suspention or will it default to the timeline I was given when Serenade was canceled? I am just trying to wrap my head around all the changes in my life right now. This is just a blip in my world turning upside down...again! If you have any input great!! If not I appreciate you reading this 🙂 Thanks in advance.

I wasn't thrilled the first time I cruised after they started leaving the cards on the door... My fear was they would take my card and charge up a bunch of crap before I got to the room! Then I saw my picture came up when they scan for purchases and that fear went away 😄 I would have never even concidered someone in my room!! So many strange questions running through my head!! Were you in a higher class cabin than then and they just randomly picked a cabin to squat in? Did hey think it was there room? Did they offer to show you any proof that it was their room? Did they have any explanation? When Royal did get there, I would imagine they were polite with the squatters, did they offer any explanation to either party?
