  1. That depends, what airline, what departure and arrival airports, any flights once you arrive in the first foreign airport, is the connection on the same ticket? We have always gotten one bag each from US to Europe in economy and premium economy and two bags each when flying business.
  2. We took the bus to Seattle and spent one night at an airport hotel before flying out the next morning. We saved so much on airfare that the bus and hotel were basically free.
  3. I have found that scooters/wheelchairs are OK on tenders if you can walk onto the tender, especially if the scooter/wheelchair is light weight. The crew will lend an arm and then lift the lightweight mobility aid on board. If you have a heavyweight aid or if you cannot manage the steps into the tender then you will not be able to go.
  4. The original poster asked about coffee on Discovery Princess. On Royal Class ships; Discovery is one, the coffee is NOT from concentrate. I find the coffee OK for my taste. I am NOT a coffee expert but find it a big upgrade from the Grand Class ships where it is made from concentrate.
  5. Princess has a mobility questionnaire that is required to be filled out if you are bringing a mobility aid. In the small print on the form it states that a standard room door is 21 inches wide while an accessible room has a 31 inch door. I do not know about other lines.
  6. There is food for purchase on the train as well as restrooms.
  7. I recommend JIT, Jordan Inspiration Tours. Due to covid I was not able to use their services as our cruise was cancelled. They have a facebook page as well as a webpage. I emailed them with information about my problems and "fold and go" wheelchair. In reply they described what they could do, the itinerary, and cost. It did include a golf cart. I still wish to go there someday and will use JIT for touring..
  8. I read about how Rick Steves fights jet lag and it works for both of us. We are 77 and 78 if that matters. He recommends staying up and going outside, hopefully in the sun so when you do go to bed you sleep well and the next day feel well rested. It works well when going east (to Europe) but not as well when going west (home from Europe or to Australia). We are going to London this July and have our plans to stay up. Flying in business so that helps also.
  9. I find the service quite good. You will have the same problems you have if you get the flight from the airline's website. There may be schedule changes, equipment changes, weather changes etc. regardless of the type of reservation. These changes originate with the airline not ez-air. The only hitch is that the airline notifies ez-air who then notifies you so your notice may be delayed a bit. We use EZ-air a lot.
  10. I can answer this with the most useless answer - it depends. First, if the sea is rough she will probably be denied. Second, she must be able to get off the scooter and transfer under her own power. There will be stairs to navigate. The crew will be there to assist but cannot lift her. Third, the scooter cannot weigh more than 100 lbs. The crew will lift it into and out of the tender. Finally, your wife will have to go up the stairs from the tender to the dock. I have post-polio syndrome and no longer do tender ports. This is my choice. I did do them when I used a scooter more for mobility in the past. Now that I have both lack of mobility and poor balance I choose to stay on board.
  11. It has been a bit more than a year since we last flew into LAX. We had to do same day due to our daughter's work schedule. We arrived after 1 PM, had purchased EZ-air tickets, and also Princess transfers. We had no problems. The Princess reps were waiting at baggage claim. We took a full bus to the pier.
  12. We were invited to our first lunch on the December 18-28, 2022 Caribbean Princess cruise to the Panama Canal. We may never get invited again as we only have 259 days. It was wonderful! I chose to have the confit of sea bass. It was the best fish I have ever eaten.
  13. Canned coke products have never been included. The sodas that are included include those from the "gun". To get water, just ask for a small bottle. If you are charged, got to guest services and ask that the charge be removed as you have a package. Also, the limit on the package is for alcoholic drinks. You can have as many mocktails and sodas (from the gun only) as you wish. I don't think that checking information on the app or TV is helpful at all. You need to speak to a bartender or guest services.
  14. What we do is put our credit card on the medallion app for our and our daughter's cabin. This works but then everything is on our card which may not be what you wish to do.
  15. I use a wheelchair and do feel included when cruising. What ship? What itinerary? Tender ports?
  16. The only thing you can use on board credits for BEFORE you cruise is shore excursions. We did that on our partial Panama Canal cruise, Dec 18-28, 2022. We had only one problem, a hop-on hop-off excursion that was advertised as handicapped accessible but definitely was NOT. No charges were made to our credit card.
  17. The problem with both of those tours is getting off the island of Cozumel. You have to take a ferry to reach the mainland. From there, after a walk to the pick-up point, we used a large bus that stored the scooter (travelscoot) in the hold. Upon reaching Tulum it is a long walk/roll to the site from where you are dropped off. I enjoyed the tour but it was a stretch for my abilities at the time. I would not attempt it now as my condition has progressed and I use an electric wheelchair (fold and go).
  18. June - Sky, roundtrip Southampton to Norway and Iceland December - Caribbean, partial Panama Canal
  19. Arriving and being able to get off the ship are two different things. In my experience the problem is part the lack of customs and port personnel and the need for the crew to set up the ramps etc. I would take a later flight. I would not expect to get off much earlier that about 7:30 AM.
  20. I've used a scooter in the past and use a fold and go electric wheelchair now. I haven't ever travelled more than four miles in a day. When the battery gets down to half I would turn around. Perhaps you could order the smaller battery for travel and keep the larger one for use in your home area?
  21. We had reserved the 2021 world cruise - cancelled by Princess of course - At the time of booking we were offered a luggage service to take our bags to the ship and home at the end of the cruise. Other years I had noticed that it included round trip air. I wish we could have gone.
  22. yes, and you can check the schedule as well,
  23. You can order them either on the medallion app or their website. The medallions arrive about two weeks before the cruise. I got a notice of shipping on Monday with a tracking number. Our cruise is Dec. 18. I had ordered shortly after booking.
