Good Morning from a warm and sunny day at the beach We are now officially in our summer weather pattern. Hot steamy days with afternoon thunderstorms. We all like onion soup and it is always on our Christmas Eve menu. I imagine we are all Seafarers at one time or another. There is a big organization in Port Canaveral that assists all the true Seafarers. They provide counseling, rides to BJS, Walmart and the Mall. They also assist them with calls home and money matters. My neighbor has volunteered there for many years. He is an old Navy guy. I was in todays port many years ago and it scheduled on our WC. Had a good visit with my cardiologist yesterday, She told me she saw me on the golf course the other day. So she said I was fine. Yeah! I go because both my brothers died suddenly from heart attacks. @Crazy For Cats A very Happy Birthday to Juan. May he have many more! @dfish Safe travels today Today we are going to TMobile to see about changing our carrier. We have had ATT for many years but it has become very expensive even with the supposed discounts, So we will see. Stay safe and enjoy today Charlene

Good Morning from a very overcast and humid day at the beach Crazy weather! The ocean is calming down a bit but still many riptides. I didnt think there is any positive Media. Peace in any form is welcome. Never been to todays port. I do like eggplant occassionally. Didnt know that todays drink was a real thing! Thought it was just a song. Learn something everyday. We are suppose to be going out with friends this evening to a local comedy club. We will see. DS said he will stay with his sister. The venue is not accessible. @cat shepard DH can relate to the croc meme. Looks like he is wearing white sandals! Very clear tan lines. Good Morning from a windy day at the beach No rain currently although forecasted for later. I am playing golf this afternoon so I hope it is much later. Although the wind will be a challenge! We are scheduled to stop in Oslo on the VOV. Thanks for the pictures. We plan to walk to the palace , Vigland Park and hopefully at least one of the museums. I wish that CC had another option to react to a post. Sometimes "like" just doesnt seem appropriate. As you can imagine Surfing is big around here. DS has been surfing since he could stand up! There are several "surf schools" here and it is a popular summer camp activity for the kids. At any given time, there ae always people out surfing. Today not a good day as the ocean is still really churning. @smitty34877 Glad you have some help coming. Sorry that Tana is having a bad day. Must have lunch before heading to the course. Hope he enjoys his special day. A very big Thank You to all who responded yesterday about Rome Tours. I sent out emails to Romein Limo and Rome Cabs. Rome Cabs has answered positively this AM. A few months ago or maybe longer, a few people recommended a private company for Rome. I cant remember the name. I am looking to find a driver to take us from the port (Civi) and around Rome. Dont need to go in anywhere, just a drive by will be fine. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Was never a real fan of Superman. Hate speech needs to stop. Not sure what is wrong with people. @StLouisCruisers Sorry you missed Greenland. We are hoping to stop there on the VOV. You just never know when you are cruising what ports you will actually see. Cant control weather. I know our circumnavigation of Australia in 2022 had several changes due to weather. Good Morning from a warm and cloudy day at the beach Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads and Dad stand ins. My own dear dad passe away to young 35 years ago. I still miss him. He was a very simple man but had great wisdom He taught me a lot. My Dad had 3 loves in his life, His Family, This Country and the New York Yankees. As we lived in Boston, it was a little "strained" sometime. LOL. Quote is too strange foe me . Never been to todays port. Played golf yesterday. Had a great cloud cover so not bad. I ordered some things from LL Bean for our upcoming VOV. I just dont have many cool weather clothes and they are just not available here. Only time you can even get a sweater is around Christmas time. Should have thought of this then but... Made a cheesecake for my DH ( his request) and am making chicken cacciatore (also his request) for dinner. Have a wonderful day. Be safe and enjoy today Charlene

Good Morning from a cloudy and soon to be raining day at the beach Our rain continues but no flooding thank goodness. This weather pattern is expected to last for a few more days. There is actually a place near here that has ax throwing. They host all sorts of events, team building etc. I have not done it but know several, including my son that have. Kitchen klutz? Good Morning from a cloudy day at the beach This weather system is a doozy. Heavy rain, then sunshine then more rain. We definitely need it. Going to continue for a few more days. Our golf course was closed yesterday and then reopened. Today it is limited with restrictions. They are monitoring it hourly. Dont think I will be playing tomorrow. I really enjoy a good stir fry. May have to give todays recipe a try. Have not been to todays port. @catmando a very Happy Birthday to you! @aliaschief Glad you are settling back into "normal life". Are you planning the next one? I had forgotten all the things you need to update with anew car. Besides the insurance and registration, the parking passes for Cocoa Beach and Jetty Park plus EPass. Luckily most can be done online. Good Morning from a cloudy day at the beach Heavy thunderstorms came in yesterday and continued off and on all evening. More expected today. There are 2 systems that ar colliding. We need the rain! We diddnt have any power loss but my insurance did while I was talking to her. We have been To Kodiak in 2014 on the 14 day Amsterdam We had booked a private excursion for the AM . Good Afternoon from a very warm and sunny day at the beach Interesting collection of days. MY BFF lost her 14 year old son to a brain tumor. It was 30 years ago and treatments have changed greatly in that time. Terrible disease. We were scheduled to stop at Christmas Island but it was cancelled due to the tides. Thank you @Quartzsite Cruiser for the great pictures. Played golf this AM. It was a little warm but had good breezes so OK. My clubs fit very nicely in my new car so all is well! Another Spacex launch last nite. It makes me a little nervous because there are so many and they are doing so well. @Suslor Have a wonderful cruise! @aliaschief Thanks for taking us along. We had a 3pm flight booked and now Delta has changed it to 12. I am concerned about getting to the airport. We have Global Entry and will be doing customs on arrival in Boston. My daughter is in a wheelchair so no self assist for us. Should I try and change it to something else?

We will be moving into the daily rain season shortly. I agree with todays quote. So many have their heads in their phones that they are missing what is happening around them. We were all very happy to finally see the Starligner launch. It was a long time coming. Still has a few problems so an extra prayer that the 2 astronauts can arrive safely back to earth. Good Morning from a warm and sunny day at the beach Havent post the past few days but have read the posts. My sister in law arrived unexpectedly on Wednesday until Sunday. I was happy to see her but why she thought a surprise was a good idea I will never know. So had to arrange appointments, plans etc. Had a good time but she is hard company. We are all anxious to see if the Starligner goes tomorrow. They certainly have had their problems. In the meantime, Spacex is launching sometimes 2-3 times a week. Today is busy with rescheduled appointments. Off to Orlando to the dermatologist and then the hairdresser. DD coming with me. She looks a little shaggy! Stay safe and enjoy today Charlene
