Princess really dropped the ball by not having a handrail and walk in steps in their pools … except for maybe one in the spa area

free internet, and increased bandwidth, in addition to more channels on the TV
does the increased bankwidth mean that more people can be on at the same time or that increased speed will occur ?

Yes ... exactly what I was thinking. They weren't set to dock in SF until tomorrow, so if they are addressing medication needs now, it certainly does look like that they plan on having these guests stay onboard for awhile.
can't even imagine … hey look honey, they just slipped something under the door … maybe it's an update about our disembarkation schedule … boom ...
and do the people on board already know that the 3/7 cruise has been cancelled ...

I was at the in transit talk on the Sky this morning and they were drawing names for a specialty dinner, as well as other freebies. have never experienced this before on a ship.
Congrats to the OP.
Brilliant ! - offer a chance at some freebies, and maybe everyone will actually show up on time and the process can begin !

I would not be surprised if they announce the sample test results from the Grand Princess after 1 PM Pacific so as not to spook the financial markets
-620 , but yeah - what a ride - buy the dips !!

I would want to certainly verify that at the Passenger Service Desk … then at the selected venue … but I like that idea !

cancellation fees waived … if in the time period of the temporary cancellation policy referenced above

For those with sailings on 3/7 and 3/8, the person I "spoke" with in the webpage chat said they would cover these sailings with the 100% FCC for cancellation fees too. I am still on hold on the phone to get a better confirmation that is accurate.
the 'chat' feature is for training people who become the Princess reps that answer the phone … j/s

I have been reading their roll call. Some are posting.
30 minutes ago, rabidstoat said:Based on the Roll Call posts, having everyone order room service for dinner went about as well as you would expect. People were waiting 3+ hours to get their food. Some people gave up and just went to bed hungry.
reading OK, posting if not on that cruise - a no-no per the Effective Immediately: Do not post about Coronavirus on Roll Calls if you aren't sailing on that cruise!!

I wonder how your ex’s family would view this if it was their vacation. People have a way of completely reversing their thinking when it is convenient.
pretty sure it's out of concern for the 15 yo daughter
and as someone posted above, for us, it would be all about the possible 14 day confinement

hopefully , Princess will also step up, in addition to the OBC , with 'reasonable' upsells or free upgrades, and get more people out of inside cabins to at least OV or OB as the cancellations pour in

We sail on April 11th and while we're not as concerned about contracting the virus, we do not want to be quarantined on the ship.
We are going to wait until closer to the 31st to make a decision but I will be kind of bummed because we got the Best Sail Ever drink package add on and if we do reschedule, we'll lose that unless we wait to rebook until Sip & Sail rolls around again.

not to be flippant .. well … will Princess refund on a pro-rata share a portion of the PBP or other drink packages since the passengers are confined to their rooms, or will Princess relax the rules about the PBP not to be used for room service ...

So that got a full refund plus a FCC for the same price of the refund they just got...........So that would be like a free cruise?
"just" the cruise fare … not the other add-ons

Please tell me how Princess would not lose money running ships that are 1/4 to half full?
fixed cost … variable cost … breakeven # of cruisers … onboard spending ...

Thank you for your input, chengkp75!
Yes the best!
who really cares , except a few of 'the experts' spouting off their "opinions" why the ship is slowing down
1) will we leave on time
2) will me meet all planned ports
3) if not, what ports will be missed or delayed
4) will we get to our final debarkation point on time

If you purchased Standard Princess insurance it covers 75% CFAR.
for a March 15th cruise , that would be a future cruise credit, correct ?
