  1. Crazy I know, but we enjoy relaxing in the cabin watching tv and looking out at the ocean.
  2. As I have mentioned elsewhere, if you can afford it, yes, you should do it. You should do it because a vacation is a time to relax, chill and forget about life, hassles and drink math. Wanna a spur of the moment shot to celebrate your hairy chest win? Go for it, it's paid for! Glass of wine with dinner? Paid for! Espresso after dinner, Why not, paid for! and on and on...you're on vacation, just order what you want whenever you want it (as long as it's less than 15 alcohol drinks a day) Want a nice cold mango slushy drink from the bar but no alcohol? Go for it, it's paid for. and so is your caramel half-caf skinny latte with cool whip and peppermint pumpkin spice sprinkles, why not? Do it.....
  3. BIG ONE - A 3-Day cruise is NOTHING like a 7 Day+ cruise. Can't do it all, don't try. Relax and chill, it's not a competition on drinking, and seeing or doing everything.
  4. Agreed. I am willing to bet when it comes to breads, they bake that. It's not that hard. A 2am bakery shift can knock all the loaf bread out.
  5. AGREED!! How can you tell me it's a good burger when most of what your eating isn't the burger?
  6. Thank you all. That makes sense. Only recently have I gotten into even wearing a robe (Not a big Florida thing?) so wondered if I should pack one or not. On that last cruise, where we got them in the Spa19 Cabin, one was kind of funky looking so I asked for a replacement, which they quickly brought me a replacement, never taking the dirty one. Somehow, one of the clean ones mysteriously would up in my luggage.
  7. I used to be able to buy 10# bags of fresh (unfrozen) boneless skinless chicken breasts for $1.99 a pound, untrimmed, and they were MASSIVE breasts. They were easy a half pound each....not both sides, per side, each side, per breast. Like turkey size. No more, hard to even get at the price, much less those sizes. Different world now.
  8. Rolling clothes, packing cubes, travel size only toiletries of any at all. You can buy many of the little things like toiletries at your destination and carry on in a bag. I can't do it regularly, but have and it is easy if you think of it like camping. Put all your junk in your bag and take a trip on public transportation in your city. You learn really fast what you do and don't need. Want and need are two different things
  9. Supply issues are a huge problem throughout many if not every industry. Not only has the food costs risen, but the quality of available products has lessened. Meat and poultry both are having size and quality assurance issues since Covid began.
  10. It is supply chain issues, but is it by choice or force majeure? Maybe little of both?
  11. If I remember correctly, only suite and Spa Cabins have robes, correct? Last cruise was spa cabin and it had robes, can't remember if others do. (I had to have replaced for a cleaner one)
  12. My guess is their contract likely states something close to "Carnival may make minor changes to menu ingredient items based on cost, availability, act of God, etc...." So over time, they change. BTW, those burgers above, Ecstasy and Celebration, I call tell by looking those buns are not the same. Celebration's are glazed or egg washed while the other is not, so it has a flat dry look.
  13. We were on Horizon a year ago and this was the case. They do all necessary to accomodate food allergies
  14. I can't say I blame you, people say incredibly ignorant things in public, loudly.
  15. I had to run to Orlando MOC airport today to drop someone off as well as look for my SIL's bags that went missing almost a week ago. While there, I noticed quite a few labeled "Cruise" and day the bags arrived, many also a week ago. Meaning, that many are onboard ships with nothing....
  16. Little off topic, I had to run to Orlando MCO airport today to drop someone off as well as look for my SIL's bags that went missing almost a week ago. While there, I noticed quite a few labeled "Cruise" and day the bags arrived. Meaning, many are onboard ships with nothing....
  17. I have never doubted his skills. No hate on my part. I don't agree with some of his techniques and I see them as dated, but he is a smart man who knows how to make a buck, and you have to respect that.
  18. I can't speak for having thick long hair, but wife and I thought it was decent. Scent was good. Nothing odd or less than normal.
  19. Agreed Guy or Emeril is not giving back their millions + residuals because they changed the bun or give you one less pickle on your burger.
  20. This applies to some of my comments in the Emeril becoming "Chief Culinary Officer," this stuff is all gimmick. The celebrity chef's team basically make out an initial menu, run it out, weights, costs, taste tests and so on...this is ALL done by a staff in a lab kitchen. Then it is tested by the celebrity chef who then gives their approval, disapproval or edits. Same for decor. The celebrity's team creates the look and feel, then awaits approval from both chef and carnival. It's the same with all restaurant groups and Emeril and Guy are restaurant groups. But once it really gets rolling, they always start looking for ways to save a dime. Little here, little there. There are thousands of stories about how a restaurant or chain saved "millions" or even thousands of dollars on tiny things like one less pickle on your burger or one less tomato on your side salad. It's all math, then food. This is why the food changes. The name on the sign has nothing to do with it
  21. Nor is he a chef Yes, he too is a sellout. But he admits it. He admits he didn't create or invent it, only put his name on it.
  22. He doesn't make mini ovens and I assure you he isn't an engineer on making mini ovens. No disrespect, but he's a sellout
