  1. Most cruise lines have shuttles going to BOTH airports after a cruise.
  2. Virgin has no shuttle to Fort Lauderdale airport, If they do, take it then the cruise port is only a 2 mile cab ride from the airport.
  3. The hotels along 17th street are close to the port. The ones on the beach are close to the port. The Riverside is downtown Fort Lauderdale about 3-4 miles from the port. We like the hotels along 17th. street the most. There is a free shuttle that comes into the Harbor Shops area about every 20 min and will take you to the beach. Plenty of restaurants in this area also. Many people choose to stay in the Dania area just south of the airport, but we find it more congested with high speed traffic.
  4. You think thats high, tickets for Taylor Swift start at $ 2,300 P.P. Who would spend that much to see a singer.
  5. Technicaly Miami, but actually between Miami and Fort Lauderdale at the Hard Rock stadium Miami Gardens. Both cities are expensive for hotels.
  6. Sas only shuttles from Fort Lauderdale to Miami port. Nothing from Miami airport.
  7. Cancel it by calling the hotel. They do not charge you anything until your stay. Then submit for another date thru Valutrips again for October. Valutrips only has a portion of the rooms at the hotel for them to discount.
  8. Hotels in Lauderdale are generally cheaper, depending on time of year. We always stay at Hyatt Place on SE 10th. street. It is a 2-3 mile shuttle ride from airport. There are shuttle companys that will pick you up in the morning, ( shared shuttles ) and bring you to port of Miami. Starting at $ 15 P.P. We have used sasrideshares in the past. They will bring you back to Fort Lauderdale airport after your cruise. There are a few others also. Qls. Uber or taxi will be quite expensive, it is about 22 miles trip. https://www.ridesas.com/
  9. We always wait till May to cruise because of the high hotel rates from December to April 30th. May1 st rates drop a whole bunch for summer.
  10. Gotch, thats not bad at all for march.
  11. $ 160 a night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hyatt Place was $ 109 a night.
  12. We just used them for 4 days total pre and post cruise in May. Have used them about 8-10 times in the past and have (((( NEVER ))))) had a problem. Once you receive conformation from them, ( 3-7 days ) call the hotel directly to confirm they have it. You only pay the hotel one you stay and can cancel just about up to your date.
  13. https://www.ridesas.com/ You can use this shuttle service to and from Ft. Lauderdale hotels to the port of Miami for $15 per person. They have a list of the hotels in Ft. Lauderdale that they pick up from. This should be cheaper than an Uber.
  14. Hyatt Place hands down,( the 1 on SE 10th. behind E.S. ) been there over 10 times in the past 13 years. Was just there pre and post cruise in May. E.S. is a dump, and 1 moth ago Holiday Inn had no hot water, sever people complaining about it. Too bad you will not use valutrips for this hotel. We have every time and save $80- 100 off daily rate. You book though VT and pay at the hotel. You can cancel just about up to your date. VT takes no $$$ with the booking. Once confirmed you check with the hotel for your reservation. Easy Peasy.
  15. We have been t Hyatt Place on se10th.st. well over 10 times now. We love the hotel, location, places to eat within 1-3 blocks. 1/2 mile to the port, 2 miles from the airport. Never had a bad stay there.
  16. If I was planning another Princess cruise i would have to bring food onboard as their buffet was not very good 2 weeks ago on Emerald. Dining room was much better, but very slow.
  17. No need to be concerned about Hyatt Places shuttle service. They will accomodate as many passengers that sign up. We were just there 2 weeks ago pre and post cruise. It is $9 P.P. and you can have them pick you up at the port after your cruise also. They will take you to the hotel, or to the airport. We have been to this hotel 7-8 times now in the past 10 years. You will enjoy staying there as we do. If you arrive to the hotel early, they will get you into a room as soon as possible with NO extra charge. We arrived there on Sat May 18th. at 10;30 am and they had a room ready for us. If no room is ready they will hold your luggage until one is. The Harbor Shops are is less than 2 blocks walk and has many places for lunch.
  18. If flying into Fort Lauderdale and staying 1 night pre cruise, I suggest a hotel with airport pickup and shuttle to the port the following day. The airport and the port are less than 2 miles apart. There are lots of hotels around the airport and more closer to the port along 17th. street. Shuttles to the port are around $8-9, P.P.
  19. 8.00 AM was the first call after self debark, 1 week ago.
  20. They have inflatable car seats on amazon that will work. they roll up real small.
  21. Best hotel close to the port. Intercontinental.
