LIVE FROM — Reflection, February 17
luv2camp04 replied to What A Market's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Windy is a great app. We use it for our RV travels. A motorhome traveling down the road is a big billboard in wind so we like to be prepared. Loving your review. We'll be on Equinox in June. -
We've been invited twice (went both times). We have sailed Celebrity 9 times and are lowly Select tier and we only sail in regular verandas. I've enjoyed the experience and if ever invited again, I would go.

Live From Celebrity Reflection: 6 Day Caribbean 1/28-2/3/24
luv2camp04 replied to jam19872016's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Somewhere I read that it is in Cafe Al Bacio. -
I tried searching but I was unable to find my answers. If I have the Princess Plus but would like a drink that is more than $15, would I just pay the difference plus gratuity? Thanks!

The shorter cruises tend to (not always) be more of a "party" atmosphere. For many, it's just a weekend getaway. I love the Reflection, but I would stick with the Beyond. I haven't been on her, but there will be plenty to do and you'll get the full feel of what cruising is like. Just my 2 cents worth.

Is the Summit chartered in January? I don't see any sailings. Just curious.
-
We're staying at the H10 Raco del Pi in June. Are you sure you're on the Summit? Looks like it is in the Caribbean in October.

We used this company in March of this year and it was great!: Aristocat Day Sails

Can you buy a drink package once on board?
luv2camp04 replied to mooshipalmdale's topic in Celebrity Cruises
You can buy it onboard however it is usually less expensive purchasing precruise. -
Which Tour? Luberon Villages or Lavender of Provence
luv2camp04 replied to GCBK10905's topic in France Ports
@crewsgirl, thanks for posting your review of the Luberon excursion. I am looking at this for our June 2024 Equinox cruise. It looks lovely! -
We have our cabin steward put one on every cruise. I believe it is an egg crate (not a really nice Tempupedic) but it really does make a difference.
-
Weird. However I am on the website not the app if that makes a difference.

I will preface this by saying that I have no intention of purchasing this new X Pass that Celebrity thinks is a "deal". That being said, I was just in the cruise planner for our Mediterranean cruise next June. Under VIP packages, the listed price for this "benefit" is $23.99/pp per day (on sale from $32.99). However, if I go into the WiFi section, I see that the same thing is $10.99/pp per day (sale from $14.99). Each lists the exact same "benefits". This is just crazy!!

Where to see booked excursions on website
luv2camp04 replied to blueskadoo's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Log in online, click "manage reservation". After that I click "book excursions" in the middle of the page. That takes you to cruise planner. Upper right corner, you can click on the calender icon or your initials and order history. Hope this helps. It's a little conviluted to get to Cruise Planner. -
Upgrade to Premium from Classic Drink Pkg -- SCORE!!!
luv2camp04 replied to LadyBerard's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Weird question, but someone on my roll call (not here on cruise critic) said that their TA called and Celebrity told them they would lose the included gratuities from their original All Included package if they upgraded to the Premium drinks package. I said no. Has anyone come across that? I saved $150 on my 9 day next June by cancelling and repurchasing at the lower rate. I don't think anything else has changed. Thoughts???? Thanks Kelly -
Sweet Sixteen Rooms - Any beds by balcony?
luv2camp04 replied to gordylad's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I agree. Get one of the last cabins or as close as you can. Don't get the first 2 or 3. There are structural steel posts outside that obstruct the view. -
Sweet Sixteen Rooms - Any beds by balcony?
luv2camp04 replied to gordylad's topic in Celebrity Cruises
We've stayed in several Sweet 16's and none of the beds were by the balcony. I can't speak to all 16 cabins though. It's sad that Celebrity finally figured out the worth of those cabins and put them in a higher category. They used to be a great deal. I love the Sweet 16's! -
Our flight arrives at 11:00 at night. I'm not interested in doing public transportation that late at night. Does anyone recommend a reasonably priced transfer service/car etc...? Our cruise isn't until next June, just trying to get my ducks all in a row! Thanks!

New to Celebrity with dining and drink package questions
luv2camp04 replied to Bxianesq's topic in Celebrity Cruises
I'm assuming you mean the Infinity as there is no Insignia. What is your cabin category? As stated above, there is a Main Dining Room (for Concierge class and under--Veranda, Oceanview, Inside). Blu is for Aqua Class and Luminae is for Suites. Your booking should tell you (if your Concierge or under) whether you have a set dining time or you are Select Dining (anythime). If you are Select, you can either make a time reservation for each night on the app or online or you can just show up at the time you want (you may have a short wait, but they'll give you a buzzer). We usually will just show up, get our buzzer and sit in Cellar Masters (on the M Class ships) and wait. Usually no more that 10-20 minutes. For the drink package, you just pay the difference + 20% for any drink above the limit. If you feel you may be going over the limit alot, you might want to consider upgrading to the Premium package. We always do. Makes life much easier. There is usually a discount for upgrading prior to boarding but you can't do it online or on the app. You need to call (or have your travel agent call). Re: the Daniel Boulud Dining experience, I haven't done that but have heard others say they have enjoyed it. You should be able to book that online. When you board, the information will be in your stateroom with date and time. If it interferes with something your doing, you can cancel. If you enjoy wine, I would recommend the World Wine Tour tasting. It's usually on a sea day. They will have 5 or 6 stations set up for wines from different parts of the world with a Sommelier at each station. It lasts about an hour and you can taste any and all of the wines during that time. They'll also have an assortment of cheeses and crackers. Check your cruise planner for a discount for booking before your sailing. Otherwise you can book onboard at Cellar Masters. Enjoy your cruise!! -
Thanks for the info!!

Thanks! With Celebrity, you can upgrade from the Classic to the Premium package and we always do, but it sounds like Princess has better pricing on their drinks overall so I guess we wouldn't have to change.
